Back to normal? The future of global production networks.
It is neither likely nor desirable for central banks to exit from unconventional monetary policies in the near future. However, it is important that central banks develop an exit strategy, evaluate the merits of new and old monetary policy tools and communicate with the public so as to maintain financial stability, support economic growth and minimize future inflationary risks. Kondo-lattice model: Application to the temperature-dependent electronic structure of EuO(100) films
We present calculations for the temperature-dependent electronic structure
and magnetic properties of thin ferromagnetic EuO films. The treatment is based
on a combination of a multiband-Kondo lattice model with first-principles
TB-LMTO band structure calculations. The method avoids the problem of
double-counting of relevant interactions and takes into account the correct
symmetry of the atomic orbitals. We discuss the temperature-dependent
electronic structures of EuO(100) films in terms of quasiparticle densities of
states and quasiparticle band structures. The Curie temperature T_C of the EuO
films turns out to be strongly thickness-dependent, starting from a very low
value = 15K for the monolayer and reaching the bulk value at about 25 layers
CoRoT observations of O stars: diverse origins of variability
Six O-type stars were observed continuously by the CoRoT satellite during a
34.3-day run. The unprecedented quality of the data allows us to detect even
low-amplitude stellar pulsations in some of these stars (HD 46202 and the
binaries HD 46149 and Plaskett's star). These cover both opacity-driven modes
and solar-like stochastic oscillations, both of importance to the
asteroseismological modelling of O stars. Additional effects can be seen in the
CoRoT light curves, such as binarity and rotational modulation. Some of the
hottest O-type stars (HD 46223, HD 46150 and HD 46966) are dominated by the
presence of red-noise: we speculate that this is related to a sub-surface

Cles is an evolution code recently developed to produce stellar models
meeting the specific requirements of studies in asteroseismology. It offers the
users a lot of choices in the input physics they want in their models and its
versatility allows them to tailor the code to their needs and implement easily
new features. We describe the features implemented in the current version of
the code and the techniques used to solve the equations of stellar structure
and evolution. A brief account is given of the use of the program and of a

UV continuum emission and diagnostics of hydrogen-containing non-equilibrium plasmas
For the first time the emission of the radiative dissociation continuum of
the hydrogen molecule ( electronic
transition) is proposed to be used as a source of information for the
spectroscopic diagnostics of non-equilibrium plasmas. The detailed analysis of
excitation-deactivation kinetics, rate constants of various collisional and
radiative transitions and fitting procedures made it possible to develop two
new methods of diagnostics of: (1) the ground state
vibrational temperature from the relative intensity
distribution, and (2) the rate of electron impact dissociation
(d[\mbox{H_{2}}]/dt)_{\text{diss}} from the absolute intensity of the
continuum. A known method of determination of from relative
intensities of Fulcher- bands was seriously corrected and simplified
due to the revision of transition probabilities and cross sections of
electron impact excitation. General considerations are illustrated
with examples of experiments in pure hydrogen capillary-arc and H+Ar

Superconductivity in Ce- and U-based "122" heavy-fermion compounds
This review discusses the heavy-fermion superconductivity in Ce- and U-based
compounds crystallizing in the body-centered tetragonal ThCr2Si2 structure.

Making effective use of healthcare data using data-to-text technology
Healthcare organizations are in a continuous effort to improve health
outcomes, reduce costs and enhance patient experience of care. Data is
essential to measure and help achieving these improvements in healthcare
delivery. Consequently, a data influx from various clinical, financial and
operational sources is now overtaking healthcare organizations and their
patients. The effective use of this data, however, is a major challenge.
Clearly, text is an important medium to make data accessible. Financial reports
are produced to assess healthcare organizations on some key performance
indicators to steer their healthcare delivery. Similarly, at a clinical level,
data on patient status is conveyed by means of textual descriptions to
facilitate patient review, shift handover and care transitions. Likewise,
patients are informed about data on their health status and treatments via
text, in the form of reports or via ehealth platforms by their doctors.
Unfortunately, such text is the outcome of a highly labour-intensive process if
it is done by healthcare professionals. It is also prone to incompleteness,
subjectivity and hard to scale up to different domains, wider audiences and
varying communication purposes. Data-to-text is a recent breakthrough
technology in artificial intelligence which automatically generates natural
language in the form of text or speech from data. This chapter provides a
survey of data-to-text technology, with a focus on how it can be deployed in a
healthcare setting. It will (1) give an up-to-date synthesis of data-to-text
approaches, (2) give a categorized overview of use cases in healthcare, (3)
seek to make a strong case for evaluating and implementing data-to-text in a

Factors associated with dropout from treatment for eating disorders: a comprehensive literature review
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Dropout (DO) is common in the treatment of eating disorders (EDs), but the reasons for this phenomenon remain unclear. This study is an extensive review of the literature regarding DO predictors in EDs.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>All papers in PubMed, PsycINFO and Cochrane Library (1980-2009) were considered. Methodological issues and detailed results were analysed for each paper. After selection according to inclusion criteria, 26 studies were reviewed.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>The dropout rates ranged from 20.2% to 51% (inpatient) and from 29% to 73% (outpatient). Predictors of dropout were inconsistent due to methodological flaws and limited sample sizes. There is no evidence that baseline ED clinical severity, psychiatric comorbidity or treatment issues affect dropout. The most consistent predictor is the binge-purging subtype of anorexia nervosa. Good evidence exists that two psychological traits (high maturity fear and impulsivity) and two personality dimensions (low self-directedness, low cooperativeness) are related to dropout.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Implications for clinical practice and areas for further research are discussed. Particularly, these results highlight the need for a shared definition of dropout in the treatment of eating disorders for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Moreover, the assessment of personality dimensions (impulse control, self-efficacy, maturity fear and others) as liability factors for dropout seems an important issue for creating specific strategies to reduce the dropout phenomenon in eating disorders.</p
