Clemens August Graf von Galen und seine Schrift „Die Pest des Laizismus” als Erwägungen eines Geistlichen über die Lage der katholischen Kirche in der Weimarer Republik
The 20th century was full of epoch-making events that left their mark on it. From the outbreak of the First World War and the fall of The German Empire, through numerous political and social shake-ups, until the outbreak of the Second World War, that became the event without precedent in the history of mankind. The First World War meant in many cases not only the end of some form of rule – the monarchy, but also, and maybe first of all, it originated the increase of xenophobia and anti-Semitism. The post-war years were identified with economic problems on a large scale that had influence on every aspect of life. Revolutions and an attempt to create the first democratic country in the history of Germany influenced the outlook of the world and beliefs of all people that lived at that time. The German people were under the influence of ideas and ideals of the educated social class, but also of Catholic child rearing or Protestant values. In that social and political situation wrote Clemens Graf von Galen in 1932 the treatise on Die Pest des Laizismus und ihre Erscheinungsformen, in which he carried out a critical analysis of all occurrences of social, political, religious-morals and economical life that took place in the falling Weimar Republic. Not in a direct way he also took a stand on growing in strength of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. The under mentioned article is aimed at presenting a profile of Clemens August Graf von Galen, later the Bishop of Münster, cardinal and the Blessed of the Roman Catholic Church, the origins of his beliefs that were reflected in his treatise Die Pest des Laizismus und ihre Erscheinungsformen
Siedem dokumentów i listów Mikołaja Krzysztofa „Sierotki” i Albrychta Władysława Radziwiłłów z końca XVI i początku XVII wieku dotyczących dziesięcin i innych świadczeń dla kościoła w Czernawczycach i prepozytury Św. Barbary w Brześciu
The present paper contains an editing of seven documents and letters concerning the tithes from Radziwiłł’s estates near Brest for the Catholic parish church in Čarnaŭčycy and St. Barbara provostry in Brest. Senders were two members of the Radziwiłł family: Mikołaj Krzysztof “The Orphan” and Albrycht Władysław and addresses parish priests and land-stewards. This documents are interesting sources of knowledge about relations between them and landlord’s activity in the field of solutions to the disputes about tithes
Validated Techniques and Scoring Models for PDD Test Data Analysis ‒ Conclusions from the 2011 APA Report
"Standards concerning polygraph examinations for common application can
be found in by-laws as well as in recommendations issued by the American
Polygraph Association (APA) and in standards adopted by ASTM International
(American Society for Testing and Materials International). Th e fi rst of these
organizations was founded in 1966 and has a membership of over three
thousand polygraphists, whereas the second is a normalization organization
which can trace its roots back to 1898. Both have the adjective “American”
in their names, but in fact these are international organizations open to
representatives from all over the world."(...
Polygraph Examination of Pregnant Women: Dilemmas and Recommendations
From introduction: "Practice of polygraph examinations may require that experts subject a pregnant
woman to such an examination, witth e.g. state security in mind or due to
a burning need of verifying information that is significant for tThe ThealtTh and life
of others. Sometimes expecting women themselves insist on being examined, for
example, when they apply for a job, want to be enrolled in uniformed services,
or try to acquire exculpatory evidence in a criminal procedure. Can a pregnant
woman be subjected to a polygraph examination? Every such procedure
requires informed consent of the examinee, pregnant women included. No
other questions related to this highly special group of examinees are defined
by law"(...
X-Ray investigation and strength measurement of steel fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete beams
oproti online verzi posunuté stránkováníThe paper presents a study on self-compacting concrete with two types of steel fibres. Under consideration was the effect the method of forming of beam elements has on the distribution of steel fibres. Formed we beams of dimensions 120×15×15 cm and 180×15×15 cm . The self-compacting mixture contained steel fibres of varying lengths (35 and 50 mm) and varying levels of their volume ratio in the mix (0.5% - 1.0% - 1.5%)

Sustainable energy in sustainable agriculture
The presented integrated production-energy system for rural areas integrates
biorefinery processes within agro-energy complexes for production of biological
raw material for numerous bio-products and energy generation from local
renewable sources assuming restitution of the natural environment resources,
low emissions and minimizing other environment pollutions. The presented
scenarios are encompassed within the frameworks of the future market
bioeconomy in which the share of services and products resulting from use of
innovative biotechnological processes and energy generation will be significant.
Areas with large resources of agricultural, forest and water management raw
materials as well as those focused on environment-supportive activities, including
bioconversion to biofuels and bioenergy, are particularly predisposed for actions
in the area of rational use of natural resources and bioeconomy in the circular
system. Mutually linked, sustainable development of local energy generation and
agriculture will be the determinant of bioeconomy development
Symmetric-in-Plane Compression of Polyamide Pantographic Fabrics—Modelling, Experiments and Numerical Exploration
Symmetric in-plane compression of a pantographic lattice structure is modelled and simulated, and the results are compared to previously available experimental data. Said experimental results had shown a peculiar behaviour: depending on the fiber density, the deformed shape could present either one or two swellings under compression. The present article is a preliminary modelling attempt aiming at capturing that behaviour numerically

Designing the composition of concrete mixtures based on properties of mortar
The paper presents proposed methods for designing the composition of mortars, which can be useful when designing concrete. To design a mortar, with properties which will correspond to the concrete, it is necessary to de ne the appropriate correction of the mortar composition. Research is the next step in proposing a method to determine the composition of the mortar, which in a possitive way will describe the properties of concrete, in particular self-compacting concrete. The research was nanced by the project No. 0842/B/T02/2011/40 from the National Science Centre and the project “DoktoRIS – Scholarship program for innovative Silesia” co- nanced by the European Union under the European Social Fund
