This study reported in this paper discussed the online shopping experience in Nigeria and its effects on customers’ satisfaction. Nigeria population is so large with a total of states with Abuja as the Federal capital. Because of the difficulties in ascertaining the population of online shopping in Nigeria, the population from previous study was used. This descriptive study adopted multiple regression analysis in establishing the relation between customers’ online shopping experience and theirs level of satisfaction.  The study observed that though online shopping experience in Nigeria is very recent not having ten years’ experience, it is increasingly growing. The adoption of online e-tail from the both sides of the buyers and sellers are rapidly increasing. Customers’ intention to continue shopping online is of a very high side. Though, it still has its numerous challenges. The study recommends that Nigeria Government, e-tailers and the online community involve in online shopping, could engage more creative awareness on online shopping. Attention could be paid to mitigating the identified challenges of online shopping experience in Nigeria

Developing A Strategy For Mobilizing Ministry On Behalf Of The Community Of Lilongwe, Malawi

Statement of the Problem Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world with over half of the population living below the poverty line (Fekete et al., 2007). The country has had a Seventh-day Adventist presence for the last 100 years. Although the Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency (ADRA) is addressing hunger in Malawi, there is a need for church congregations to do something at a local level to combat poverty, HIV/AIDS, disease, and hunger which are all rampant (Pembrey, 2010b). Lilongwe is the headquarters of many aid agencies but the worst symptoms of poverty exist within the city limits. The problems facing the country are replicated there and are worse because people from all parts of the country migrate to this city (Kemp, Mann, Simwaka, Salaniponi, & Squire, 2007). However, Kawale, Area 25, and Likuni Seventh-day Adventist churches in this area are not addressing these needs in a holistic manner. Method The research method that I used was the Archival Document Analysis. This method analyzes the available data. The documents that were studied included the Adventist Mission Board Archives, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church Archives, church papers, National Statistical Census Reports, Lilongwe City Assembly Documents, Government of Malawi Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP), Government of Malawi Millennium Development Goals (MDG), International Monetary Fund Reports, Africa Development Bank Reports, and dissertations by some Malawian Adventist scholars. All the above sources did not contain a comprehensive, holistic approach to fight poverty, HIV/AIDS, disease, and hunger in Malawi, specifically in Lilongwe. Adventist sources that were available did not show how the Adventist church is ministering to the needs of its community in the city. Expectations for the Project This project may help to advance the kingdom of God in Malawi, for the project may serve as a model of a holistic ministry approach to evangelism and community development. The implementation of this ministry strategy has potential to transform the lives of people in the immediate areas of impact that surround the Kawale, Area 25, and Likuni Seventh-day Adventist congregations. The adoption and implementation of this ministry strategy by all churches in Malawi may position the Seventh-day Adventist Church as an agent for change in society and the country. This project has the potential to transform the quality of life in various Malawian communities because the practical steps that are suggested in this project will help people to take charge of their own destiny and thus challenge poverty and other societal problems. On a personal level, this project will help me to develop my pastoral leadership skills. In a bigger picture, this project will encourage churches to address societal problems as a part of a holistic mission strategy

Experiences of Providers in Caring for the Obese Hispanic Population

The national obesity rate continues to rise along with numerous correlating health disparities in Colorado. According to Andolf and Fisichella (2018), obesity currently affects 78.6 million people in the United States. Obesity is without a doubt a major health concern. Obesity in children and adolescents is a growing concern in the United States, where one fifth of the entire population from age two to nineteen in 2011-2014 was obese (Obesity, Diet and Mortality Trends, 2016). The objective of this project was to examine experiences of healthcare providers caring for the obese Hispanic population. Determining the experiences in providing care for these patients will ideally determine ways to improve their health outcomes. Nearly 1/3 of the adult US population is now estimated to be obese (Flegal, Graubard, Williamson, & Gail 2016). Furthermore, initiating change in practice may occur based on outcomes of this project. Delivering equality healthcare for the underserved may help reduce the ill effects of social determinates of health and can improve correlating health impacts that directly relate to obesity. Illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, healthcare access and affordability directly impact the underserved and equality in healthcare can bridge the gap with the underserved population. Exploring provider experiences may identify ways to allow healthcare to be proactive verses reactive in terms of obesity. The nurse researcher conducted 15-20-minute voluntary face-to-face interviews that were audio-recorded, transcribed and coded for themes. Methodology used for this project was a phenomenological qualitative study that looked at lived experiences of providers. Three broad themes were identified, with subcategories. The three main themes include, nursing barriers to caring for obesity, factors contributing to client obesity, and proposed changes to care

Understanding how students process and use feedback to support their learning

    Get PDF
This paper presents the results of a small-scale qualitative study conducted at a UK university in which a sample of undergraduate students were asked to reflect on the (often subconscious) processes they use to engage with, act upon, store and recall feedback. Through the use of micro-blogging, weekly diaries and semi-structured interviews, the study found that students understand what feedback is and how it should be used. Students recognise the impact of technology in enhancing the feedback process, especially in supporting dialogue around feedback. However, the study highlighted that students often struggle to make connections between the feedback that they receive and future assignments, and it is recommended that further investigation is required into how tutors construct the feedback given and how students deconstruct that feedback, along with the role that technology might play in enabling students to make sense of all feedback that they receive

The Imperative Of Basic Tax Education For Citizens

The role and impact of taxes in the lives of Americans makes basic tax education an imperative for all Americans. Not only will that knowledge be valuable to the taxpayer, it will also be valuable to the Government that imposes a variety of taxes. Specifically, it is our position that the lack of basic understanding of taxes is unwarranted, long overdue and importantly could be costing the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. In this paper, we focus on the personal income tax because it is one of the most recognizable of the taxes and because it does account for a significant amount paid by Americans. While we wholeheartedly agree that basic knowledge of all other types of taxes will equally be valuable, the income tax, we believe, is a good starting point in light of its unique effect on the majority of Americans.&nbsp
