Bleomycin is an antineoplastic drug that causes DNA damage by intra- and inter-strand crosslink and DNA strand breaks. This drug is used to treat several types of cancer.
The aim of this work is to study the effect of Bleomycin on S. cerevisiae cells and select bleomycin-resistant cells to study the process of resistance acquisition to establish new protocols in in vitro drugs exposure.
Objective:Given the increase of the risk behaviors of eating disorders in adolescents and its consequences of comorbidity, hospital admissions and mortality involving, the aim of the study was to determine the model programs of prevention and early detection and the nurse’s paper.
Method:It is made a literature research of articles published in the last 5 years in English and Spanish in 14 databases. It is obtained results in 7 of them: Pubmed, Dialnet, Cuiden, Cinhal, DOAJ, Science Direct and Springer Link. A total of 24 articles were found. The review is completed by two Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Results:The most preventive programs use preventive methods were those about cognitive dissonance and critical the mass media. They all perform interactive interventions with adolescents. A monitoring of the intervention effectiveness is carried out. Only five documents talk about the nurse’s role.
Conclusions: The most commonly used programs are those that seek a change of habits and behaviors and the strengthening the coping ability of adolescents. There should be a greater record of prevention and long-term monitoring by screening methods as: SCOFF, EDI-3 and EAT-26. The nurse must become aware of the importance of their activity in the prevention and promotion, especially in schools because it is the right place for programs
Civic participation as a promoter of well-being: comparative analysis among european countries
Previous research on the direction of the relationship between civic participation and well-being has evidenced that civic participation is a promoter of well-being among older adults in Europe. Accordingly, the objective of the present study is to identify and analyze the differences between European welfare systems regarding both civic participation and well-being. For this purpose, a logistic multilevel regression analysis was performed as an empirical strategy, using the cross-sectional data from the 9 waves of the European Social Survey (2002-2018). Significant differences in well-being were observed, with Anglo-Saxon elders being the healthiest, and the Nordic the happiest and most satisfied with their lives. In contrast, Eastern European seniors reported the lowest levels of well-being. Also, Nordic countries are the most civically engaged, followed by the Continental and Anglo-Saxon, while Mediterranean and Eastern countries engage the least. However, the impact of civic participation on well-being is strongest for the Mediterranean countries, while its impact on satisfaction and happiness is weakest for the Nordic countries. The 3 models of the multilevel analysis indicate that civic participation has a positive impact on health, happiness and life satisfaction, and that this effect is quite robust. Also, by adding country-level macro variables to the model, it is possible to reduce the random effects and hence to better explain these international differences. Concisely, the impact of civic participation on the well-being of the elderly differs across nations and should therefore be considered by policy makers
Selection of resistance to cisplatin in saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model for antineoplastic drugs studies
The budding yeast (S. cerevisiae) is an excellent eukaryotic model to study the antineoplastic drugs effects, due to the well-characterized metabolic and genetic characteristics and the conserved similarity in molecular mechanisms with other species including human cells.
The aim of this work is to study the effect of cisplatin on S. cerevisiae cells and select cisplatin-resistant cells of this organism as a model of study of resistance to antineoplastic drugs.Universidad de Málaga. Campus de Excelencia Internacional Andalucía Tech
A Case of Singular Geotechnical Failure for Industrial Structures in the Peruvian Andes
During the rainy season of 1982, foundation distress was occurred at several recently completed and still incomplete structures of an important mine project located in the Peruvian Andes. When the tailings thickener was tested an unexpected settlement started, some cracking was observed in the slab, and the central pier settled and tilted. The nature of the distress suggested the failure occurred as the result of the combined effect of a long term seepage under the bearing foundation soil and due to its different degree of compaction. This paper presents the characteristics of these problems as both foundation and fill materials, the probably failure mechanisms and a discussion of geotechnical design criteria to solving them

Effect of core affect bidimensional structure on treatment abandonment in borderline personality disorder
mes qué usuarios van a abandonar y cuáles van a
finalizar el tratamiento. Conclusiones: aunque no
rendimiento escolar. In this papper we intend to carry out an intervention program in Mindfulness
in a school that imparts the Diploma Program of the International Baccalaureate
Organization, in order to improve the emotional well-being and performance of the
students who take this program. This proposal is thought to be made during the two
courses that the program lasts. Some of the main goals to be achieved are: reduce the
anxiety and stress of students, learn to relax before exams, improve self-concept and
self-esteem and develop attention skills. This work has been carried out from the
bibliographic review, as well as the training with different specialists of the field and the
experience acquired during the training practices. Finally, emphasize that the interest
and functionality of this papper is to meet an emerging need, which due to the rigor and
academic requirement, these programs claim; and through the intervention, generate in
the students strategies that allow them to reduce the negative psychological symptoms
and increase the school performance.Psicologí
