The main objective of this study is to investigate factors that can predict adoption of ebanking in Nigeria. Specifically, it aims at investigating mediating influences of esatisfaction, e-trust and hedonic motivation on the relationship between e-banking adoption and its other determinants. The motivation of this study is driven by the inconsistent findings in the literature with respect to the relationships between e-banking adoption and its determinants: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security and facilitating condition. In line with the inconsistencies, various suggestions have emerged pointing to the need to investigate the possible mediating variables that could explain the inconsistencies. For that purpose, this study employed theories of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Universal Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Social Exchange theory to synchronize the possible relationships among the variables in the conceptual framework. Survey questionnaire was advocated and the questionnaires were distributed randomly to 382 customers of four major banks in Nigeria. Out of 291 returned questionnaires, 266 were useable for analysis. PLS-SEM was used to analyze both direct and indirect relationships among the variables of the study. The results reveal that perceived usefulness, perceived security, perceived ease of use, facilitating condition, and awareness are positive determinants of e-banking adoption, e-satisfaction, hedonic motivation and e-trust accordingly with an exception of perceived usefulness that does not determine e-trust. The study also found that e-satisfaction; e-trust and hedonic motivation mediate the relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security and facilitating conditions and e-banking adoption. Finally, managerial, policy and theoretical implications as well as directions for future research are discussed in this paper

The construction industry’s contributions to Greenhouse gas emissions have generated several discussions among the construction stakeholders in recent times. Granted that the construction industry has been contributing significantly to the economy as well as employment in most countries for decades, the industry’s resource consumption is, at the same time, damaging to a sustained human environment. This paper empirically explored the organizational technology orientation and perceived organizational usefulness that could improve construction Malaysian construction firm’s sustainability performance. Close-ended structured copies of questionnaire survey were employed to collect data from large Malaysian construction firms, and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling technique was used to analyze the 172 responses. The results indicated that both technology orientation and perceived organizational usefulness are capable of influencing the construction firms’ sustainability performance. The implication is that this study’s model can predict the sustainability performance of the sampled construction firms. Some implications for research and practice, as well as future recommendations, were highlighted

Purpose – The main purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework that explains the influence of Customer Relationship Strategy on the customer satisfaction and loyalty of Malaysia Banks.Design/methodology/approach – This paper adopts qualitative method of reviewing related literatures.Findings – Evidences from the extant literatures have suggested that effective implementations of the five dimensions of CRM (Customer Orientation, CRM Organization, Knowledge Management, Technology Based CRM and Customer Involvement) will positively affect customer satisfaction and lead to loyalty within the banking industry.Research limitations/implications – The major limitation of this work is that it is qualitative and thereby requires empirical data to support the model that is presented. Practical implications – This paper practically suggests that for banks to gain satisfaction and loyalty of their customers, they must monitor level of customer trust through proper integration of CRM application.Originality/value – This paper primarily conceptualizes a measurement model that would assist in determining the impacts of CRM on customer satisfaction and loyalty of banks. It is the first study that incorporates customer involvement dimension along other four CRM dimensions that was developed by Sin et al (2005). It also considers trust as a moderating variable between satisfaction and loyalty

Working environment and safety behavior are the primary concern in construction projects which in the long run are part of the yardstick in measuring project management performance. Construction safety and performance should be thoroughly investigated empirically by illustrating the current state of accident and performance in construction industries. Entrenched in the Malaysian construction industry experience, three dimensions of the project management performance (resolve cost, schedule, and quality) can buffer the contractor’s and project manager’s performance in building projects. Following organizational control theory, this research investigated the effects project management performance (resolve cost, schedule, and quality) on construction projects among G-7 contractors operating in Kuantan Malaysia construction industries through a personally administered questionnaire. Structural equation modeling (SEM) opined that schedule and quality have positive and significant influence, while resolve cost has a significant negative influence on Malaysia construction projects.   Keywords: project management performance, building project, contractor, projectmanagers, client, constriction industries, PLS-SEM

Practical and theoretical evidences have revealed that e-banking adoption in Nigeria is abysmally low when compared with some other African countries. This paper has therefore conceptually developed a framework that would investigate the causes and suggest some implications for going forward. This paper is basically a review of literature.Theoretical findings from this study indicate that for e-banking to be significantly adopted, issues relating to usefulness, ease of use, facilitating conditions and security must be seriously addressed by the banks management. Asides, efforts must be put in place to make sure that awareness about the availability of e-banking and its benefits spread to actual and potential users. When all this is done, the rate of satisfaction and trust among users will definitely improve and will significantly lead to high rate of adoption. The main limitation of this study is that it is conceptual in nature; future researchers can empirically test the proposed model of this study. The paper clearly shows the relationship between e-banking adoption, its determinants and mediating variables. This paper has added value to the current content of e-banking literature as well as offer some recommendations especially for banking practitioners, and policy makers about how to improve the rate of e-banking adoption

Many studies have been conducted in respect of e-banking adoption especially in developed nations. However, evidence has shown that where similar few studies are conducted in developing countries, their findings are mixed and inconclusive. This pilot study intends to fill the research gap with a view to addressing the problem of low adoption in Nigeria and many other developing countries. In this view, this study has critically looked into the issues of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, awareness, perceived security and facilitating conditions that have direct and indirect effects on e-banking adoption through mediating effect of e-satisfaction, e-trust and hedonic motivation. One of the major contributions of this study is that it is the first of its type to link security directly to fun. A call has been made to future researchers to empirically test the model of this study in order to predict adoption of e-banking. DOI: 10.5901/mjss.2016.v7n1p5

Extant studies in the field of consumer behavior and information technology acceptance have established that adoption of electronic banking is determined by several factors. While several of these studies emanate from developed nations, few are available in developing countries like Nigeria.Aside, most of these studies concentrate on intention to adopt and failed to find out why customers lack trust and do not satisfy with the services render to them.Hence, this study looks into issues of trust and satisfaction of e-banking adoption and their relationship with other determinants as this will help to increase the rate of adoption of e-banking that is generally low in Nigeria
