Work of art in the space of network culture: Creativity as bricolage

    Get PDF
The development of modern informational-communication technologies has led to the occurrence of the new unique sociocultural phenomenon – a network culture, with irony as the dominating rhetoric. In the space of network culture, under digital technologies, the forms, types, and functions of art, and creativity in general, change. The paper states that communication becomes the main function of art, while a work of art more and more becomes an object of communication. The authors propose to broaden the volume of creativity conception, going beyond the classical interpretation towards a broader understanding of this phenomenon, namely, creativity as bricolage. The methodological basis of the bricolage model of creativity, relevant for the new media art, is the concept of “bricolage” developed by Claude Lévi-Strauss. © 2020 The Author(s). Published by VGTU Press. The film distribution confirms this point of view. By the 2019 data, the film Matilda became the most unprofitable film supported by the Cinema Foundation of Russia: “Matilda’s losses became a sort of a record – 550 million rubles” (Zhitkova, 2018)

The right to the information and communication relationship, the features of its creation in Russia, the problems and mechanisms of its implementation in the social and political sector are analysed in the article. The relation between the concepts of the right to communicate and the right to information has been determined, the structural elements of the Russian legal system and the mechanism of its implementation in the context of the current political events and information law-making have been refined and analysed. Upon the empirical and statistical data evaluation the contradiction between the things in existence as the state of art in the political and communication sector and the tribute as the system of the information and communication relationship evolving on the basis of the laws and regulations which are relevant to the modern democratic society and regulate the information sector has been revealed. © IDOSI Publications, 2014

© 2015, Canadian Center of Science and Education. All rights reserved. The essence and character of implementation of social communications technologies in the process of anti-corruption activities of organs of power and civil society have been analyzed. The authors based their research on the social communications approach and the “Corruption formula” determined by R.Klitgaard. Based on the analysis of the results opinion surveys, dissatisfaction of the population with the outcomes of anti-corruption policy carried out by the government, demand for transition from declarativity of the principle of transparency of the government to open data, to expansion of anti-corruption enforcement initiated by citizens have been acknowledged. To solve the problems detected integrative communication technologies have been suggested

On the way to the ideal state: Internet against corruption

© 2017 Serials Publications. The article is devoted to the research of discursive practices in the Internet environment on anticorruption issues. The research objective is to analyze the online-communications of the Russian authorities and citizens on the issues of anticorruption policy implementation. The methodological basis of the research is systemic-communicative approach; its theoretical basis is the conception of an Open society by K. Popper. Basing on the analysis of international rankings and all-Russia opinion polls on corruption issues, Internet freedom and quality of state administration, the authors come to the conclusion that the social-information anomie on anticorruption issues is strengthening. This type of anomie reflects the contradiction between the prescriptive, official information and the descriptive one, which ascertains the actual state of affairs in the society. The information gap leads to the reduction of level of trust to the existing power institutions, to the growth of social-political entropy, to social-network mobilization of the citizens. The analysis of the causes and conditions, which maintain the information misbalance, revealed the incongruence between the technological preparedness of the Russian state for its functions' implementation via the Internet and the level of thestates' social-political preparedness for the open anticorruption dialog

Microlensing in the double quasar SBS1520+530

We present the results of a monitoring campaign of the double quasar SBS1520+530 at Maidanak observatory from April 2003 to August 2004. We obtained light curves in V and R filters that show small-amplitude \Delta m~0.1 mag intrinsic variations of the quasar on time scales of about 100 days. The data set is consistent with the previously determined time delay of \Delta t=(130+-3) days by Burud et al. (2002). We find that the time delay corrected magnitude difference between the quasar images is now larger by (0.14+-0.03) mag than during the observations by Burud et al. (2002). This confirms the presence of gravitational microlensing variations in this system.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figures. Accepted for publication in A&

Gravitationally lensed QSOs in the ISSIS/WSO-UV era

Gravitationally lensed QSOs (GLQs) at redshift z = 1-2 play a key role in understanding the cosmic evolution of the innermost parts of active galaxies (black holes, accretion disks, coronas and internal jets), as well as the structure of galaxies at intermediate redshifts. With respect to studies of normal QSOs, GLQ programmes have several advantages. For example, a monitoring of GLQs may lead to unambiguous detections of intrinsic and extrinsic variations. Both kinds of variations can be used to discuss central engines in distant QSOs, and mass distributions and compositions of lensing galaxies. In this context, UV data are of particular interest, since they correspond to emissions from the immediate surroundings of the supermassive black hole. We describe some observation strategies to analyse optically bright GLQs at z of about 1.5, using ISSIS (CfS) on board World Space Observatory-Ultraviolet.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, Accepted for publication in Astrophysics & Space Scienc

Research of thermal stability of the VG transformer oil in the presence of individual sulfides

In connection with the known negative impact of organosulfur connections on quality of transformer oils and the corresponding rise in price of their production including various ways of cleaning of oil fractions of organosulfur connections re-searches of structural and group structure of oil organosulfur connections and their influence on operational properties of transformer oil have been conducted. Influence of individual sulfides on thermal stability of the brand VG transformer oil in electric field is studied by tension of 30 kV/cm at change of concentration of sulfides in range from 0 to 1,0% from the mass of oil. The research was con-ducted with use of methylbenzylsulfide and a metilfenilsulfide on the basis of the brand VG transformer oil without addition of an ionol. It is established that individual sulfides metilbenzil- and metilfenilsulfide treat the anti-oxidizing additives reducing oil aging speed. For obtaining the maximum thermal stability of transformer oil the optimum concentration of individual sulfides making 0,5% of the mass of oil is defined. The analysis of the inhibiting ability metilbenzil-and a metilfenilsulfida has shown that more effective additive to oil is methylbenzylsulfide which increases thermal stability of oil and reduces amount of the absorbed air more (by 2,2 times) in comparison with the metilfenilsulfide, 0,5% of the mass of oil taken at the optimum concentration equal. The carried-out comparative analysis of a molecular structure of methylbenzylsulfide and metilfenilsulfide has shown that with an identical length of a paraffin chain replacement of a naphthenic cycle by an aromatic kernel leads to decrease in efficiency of individual sulfide as anti-oxidizing additive to oil
