Comment on "A special attack on the multiparty quantum secret sharing of secure direct communication using single photons"
In this comment, we show that the special attack [S.-J. Qin, F. Gao, Q.-Y.
Wen, F.-C. Zhu, Opt. Commun. 281 (2008) 5472.], which claims to be able to
obtain all the transmitted secret message bit values of the protocol of the
multiparty quantum secret sharing of secure direct communication using single
photons with random phase shift operations, fails. Furthermore, a class of
similar attacks are also shown to fail to extract the secrete message.Comment: 2 pages (two-column
Orientalismo a su pesar : Gao Xingjian y las paradojas del sistema literario global
This paper shortly reviews a few of the reactions to the Nobel Literature Prize awarded to Gao Xingjian in 2000. It argues that, when circulating within a globalized, cross-cultural literary sistem, both Gao’s figure and work have been defined by an Orientalist hermeneutical perspective that, at certain points, contradicts the postulates of the writer and the value of his work. This is a mechanism to which writer and work are inescapably subjected.

Out of plane effect on the superconductivity of Sr2-xBaxCuO3+d with Tc up to 98K
We comment on the paper published by W.B. Gao, Q.Q. Liu, L.X. Yang, Y.Yu,
F.Y. Li, C.Q. Jin and S. Uchida in Phys. Rev. B 80, 094523 (2009) and give
alternate explanations for the enhanced superconductivity. The enhanced onset
Tc of 98K observed upon substituting Ba for Sr is attributed to optimal oxygen
ordering rather than to the increase in volume. Comparison with La2CuO(4+x)
samples suggest that the effect of disorder is overestimated

Investigating the technology catching-up trajectory of Chinese Hi-Tech SMEs: an integrated framework from industry-, resource-, and institution-based view
Accepted for WLICSMB 2010Purpose This paper intends to review the literatures on the technology catching-up trajectory of latecomers in order to understand the innovation strategies of Chinese Hi-Tech SMEs (Gu & Tse, 2010; Xie & White, 2006; Chen & Qu, 2003; Lee & Lim, 2001; Kim, 1997). It also tries to construct an integrated framework to investigate their innovation strategies and the impact on organizational performance from the Industry-, Resource-, and Institution-based view (Peng, Wang, & Jiang, 2008). Design/methodology/approach The authors have reviewed papers published in the leading journals in the R&D field and proposed an integrated conceptual framework of innovation strategies of Chinese Hi-Tech firms based on Peng, Wang and Jiang (2008)’s institution-based view framework to examine the innovation strategy from Industry-, firm-specific Resource-based, and Institution-based View Originality/Value This paper pays attention to the institution factors in shaping Chinese SMEs to develop innovative capabilities. Chinese firms have comparative advantages, such as better comprehending Chinese local market, better understanding of local business environment comparing to MNEs. Our paper argues that by developing effective innovation strategies and improving innovative capabilities, Chinese SMEs will be able to survive from the severe competitions from state-owned enterprises and foreign firms in China
