Analytical Solution for Bending and Free Vibrations of an Orthotropic Nanoplate based on the New Modified Couple Stress Theory and the Third-order Plate Theory

In the present work, the equations of motion of a thin orthotropic nanoplate were obtained based on the new modified couple stress theory and the third-order shear deformation plate theory. The nanoplate was considered as a size-dependent orthotropic plate. The governing equations were derived using the dynamic version of Hamilton’s principle and natural boundary conditions were formulated. An analytical solution in the form of a double Fourier series was obtained for a simply supported rectangular nanoplate. The eigenvalue problem was set and solved. It was analytically shown that the displacements of the median surface points in the plane of the plate do not depend on the material length scale parameters in the same directions; these in-plane directional displacements depend on the material length scale parameter in the out-of-plane direction only. On the other hand, the out-of-plane directional displacement depends on the length scale parameter in the plane directions only. The cross-section rotation angles depend on all length scale parameters. It was shown that the size-dependent parameters only have a noticeable effect on the deformed state of the plate if their order is not less than the order (plate height)-1

Purpose: To identify the consumer loyalty types in a retail segment of the Russian pharmaceutical market. Methods: A sociological study was conducted in pharmaceutical organisations of various forms of ownership, located in different administrative districts of Moscow (Russian Federation). This was done using a questionnaire developed in advance, and based on literature review. The survey involved 480 respondents selected in a simple random sampling. Results: All questionnaire filled out by the respondents were considered valid. Analysis of the loyalty parameters obtained during the study are as follows: (1) behavioural (repeated purchases), (2) emotional (subjective opinions and experience, sympathy, respect for the brand, etc) and (3) rational (utility assessment) components (4) consumer satisfaction, (5) the desire to buy again, (6) the ability to switch to competitors. They were allocated to four consumer segments. In the course of the study, one consumer segment identified a type of loyalty that had not been previously reviewed by other authors; therefore, a modified classification of the loyalty types was created. Under this classification, constancy, constancy imaginary, inconstancy, and migratory loyalties can be some types of loyalty. The identified socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents influenced the categorization of the loyalty type. Conclusion: A modified classification of loyalty types was created which serves as a parameter for segmentation of the respondents into four groups, with well-readable characteristics and the primary trends in making purchases

Стереотипы политического мышления молодежи в контексте реализации стратегии национальной безопасности РФ: опыт регионального исследования

The article evaluates the fundamental social factors which influence the formation of the axiological component of Russian youth’s political consciousness. The authors have set a goal to find out to what extent the traditional moral and spiritual values are rooted in the minds of young people. These values need to be cultivated in accordance with the goals set in National Security Strategy of Russia, approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Using the method of selective associations, the authors have identified the actual set of values, which form the stereotypes of political thinking of young citizens of the Volgograd region. It consists of such values as strong family, patriotism, strong state, love for neighbour, fortitude and faith. It’s been found out that search for truth and collectivism, which once were the fundamental values for the spiritual life of the Russian people, ceased to be so for the young generation of Russian citizens. The authors point to the revival of the dualism of the concepts of patriotism and pride, which was dominant in the public consciousness of the Soviet people. Nihilistic and protest moods are peculiar of only a small share of youth (no more than 3 %). Many traditional moral and spiritual values remain rooted in the political consciousness of young people in Volgograd, and this is a positive factor of national security in the region. The authors have concluded that despite a number of negative societal factors that have a significant impact on the formation of value-semantic attitudes and stereotypes of political thinking of Russian youth, the traditional spiritual and moral values are still the important social regulators of political behavior. V.N. Gulyaikhin describes the main traditional values of the Russian people and reveals a number of fundamental factors of public life that have a significant impact on the formation of values and stereotypes of the political thinking of Russian youth. E.V. Galkina gives an assessment of the ideological context of the document “The National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation” and formulates the initial thesis about the need to view the youth as an active subject of the national security system. O.E. Andryushchenko develops a questionnaire for a mass survey of representatives of two age groups of young people, makes a sample for a mass questionnaire, and carries out an empirical study of the value-semantic attitudes and stereotypes of political thinking in the two main age groups of the Volgograd youth. P.P. Fantrov carried out a comparative analysis of stereotypes of thinking of these age groups

The sol-gel synthesis of cotton/TiO2 composites and their antibacterial properties

Presentwork is devoted to investigation of structure and functional properties of hybrid nanomaterials based on the TiO2-modified cellulose fibers of cotton. The titania hydrosol was successfully prepared using the titanium tetraisopropoxide as precursor and the nitric acid as peptizing agent via the low-temperature sol–gel synthesis in aqueous medium and applied to cotton fabric. For cross-linking of titania nanoparticles to cotton the 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic acid (BTCA) was used as a spacer. The morphology and composition of the surface pure and TiO2 modified cotton fibers were investigated by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The cotton/TiO2 composite was characterized by the dielectric permittivity. For the estimation of total titania concentration, all samples were calcined at 650 °C. The antimicrobial activity of the treated TiO2 cotton fibers was investigated against Escherichia coli as a model Gram-negative bacteria after exposure to UV-irradiation for 10 mi

Synthesis, Structure and Biological Activity of Dicarboxylate Phosphabetaines

New stable dicarboxylate phosphabetaines were synthesized by the phosphorylation of a series of unsaturated carboxylic acids. Interaction of 3-(diphenylphosphonio)propionic acid with unsaturated monocarboxylic acids leads to formation of stable dicarboxylate phosphabetaines. The structure of the isolated compounds was determined by IR and NMR spectroscopy, X-ray single crystal diffraction studies and elemental analysis. Their thermal stability was studied by simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. All of the synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial and anti-Candida activity

The formation of the noradrenaline DOPA at action of the anode microdischarges on the dopamine in solutions and colloids has been determined; the formation of the parathiamine from dopamine orientatedly- adsorbed on the natural generation colloids under action of the anode microdischarges has been discovered. The new physical-chemical data about action of the anode microdischarges on the substances in the systems containing the colloid phase which can be used for modelling of the neutro-chemical dopamine changes and other biologically-active substances in the natural systems have been obtainedAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
