ASPECTS ON OBTAINING THE RAW MATERIAL FOR PELLETIZING

    Get PDF
Energy willow is one of the most important energy crops. The problem is that it is hard to be used in its natural state, because it has low density, is hard to transport and store, thus requiring processing. Pelletizing offers a real possibility to valorise willow by transforming it into solid biofuels. The paper presents experimental researches on the process of obtaining raw material from energy willow in the view of transforming it into pellets

POSSIBILITIES TO VALORIZE ARTICHOKE UNDER THE CULTIVATION CONDITIONS IN ROMANIA

Generally, in Romania, farmers focused on an agriculture based on large field crops, cereal crops, being less inclined to grow aromatic and medicinal crops that have a newer history in our country. But there are plants that have made history in other countries and that for a while are starting to be valorized in our country in a therapeutic or prophylactic purpose. One of these plants is artichoke (Cynara scolymus), which due to its many uses has become increasingly valuable. In our country is known and used especially in the pharmaceutical and food supplements industry, but food industry and that of cosmetics are making progress in using this wonder plant, with many therapeutic, digestive, hepatic-protective properties. Newly, the problem was posed for its use as an energy plant, by obtaining oil from the seeds. This paper proposes to highlight the possibilities to valorize the artichoke crop in Romania`s conditions, as a source of bioactive raw material for drug products, food supplements, cosmetics and ornaments. The results of experiments can be used by Romanian farmers to draw up plans to valorize all their land, even smaller surfaces

CONSIDERATIONS ON OBTAINING CAMELINA OIL BY COLD PRESSING

The oil obtained from oil plants have characteristics and properties that allow use for people food, animals and in some cases alternative fuel engines. Camelina is an oil plant that has properties superior to other known plants: sunflower, soybean, flax, etc., to be used as fuel, the paper presenting some considerations that make this plant as an alternative to fossil fuels

CONSIDERATIONS ON OBTAINING VARIOUS TYPES OF PELLETS FROM DIFFERENT TYPES OF BIOMASS

Materials with lignocellulosic structure (wood, straws, sawdust, etc.) representimportant energy resources. Their main disadvantage consists in the fact that they have very low density, which leads to difficulties in the process of handling, transport, storage, respectively increased production costs. Besides this, high variations of humidity in the material can generate difficulties in the operation and adjustment of processes within the installations where they are used. These drawbacks can be improved by drying and compacting (densification) the material at very high pressures, thus obtaining wood biofuels with a uniform structure, such as pellets. The paper presents the process of compacting different types of biomass in the form of pellets, using a reduced scale pelleting machine

SAMBUCUS EBULUS L. - BIOCHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF LEAVES - POSSIBLE NATURAL TREATMENTS

    Get PDF
The purpose of the research was to demonstrate the importance of knowing the biochemical composition of leaves of Sambucus ebulus L., a spontaneous flora plant which, under the direct knowledge of its properties, can be used in natural medicine for the control of abnormal diseases or conditions for the body human. As green plants are of particular importance due to their ability to produce large amounts of organic chemicals rich in Sambucus Ebulus L., it is to confirm the existence of mineral elements, namely N, P and K, which varied according to the harvested plant, and chlorophyll pigments did not show large changes and concentrations from one sample to the next. The same thing happened when determining protein and dry matter. From the leaf harvesting area of Sambucus Ebulus L., laboratory determinations and soil analyzes have been carried out with respect to soil pH, total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sum of bases and humus

RESEARCHES ON AUTOMATION OF DOSING AND SACKING PROCESS OF FINISHED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

Researches whose results are presented in this paper are on the topic of optimizing the dosing and sacking process in small and medium capacity productive units..The technological equipment for weighing and automated management EWAM, developed at INMA Bucharest performes simultaneously two operations: automated bag weighing of the programmed quantity of product and automated management of the quantities of sacked finished products on an indefinite period of time.In this paper there are presented the experimental researches for this equipment, working quality indices determined with highlighting the advantages of using this type of technical equipment in the flow of small and medium capacity milling units in villages

PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY

The paper presents the main objectives regarding the management of protected areas - "The protected area is a clearly defined geographical space, recognized, designated and managed on the basis of legal documents or other effective means, in order to achieve long-term conservation of nature and also ecosystem services and associated cultural values ". Managing a protected area is designated to protect a species or to encourage natural succession, to preserve a way of life or restore vegetation. Through the study of management was established the legal basis for protected areas, the priorities being the planning, relations with government and local communities, applying research and also current management tasks (monitoring agriculture, particularly forestry, maintaining trails, providing services for visitors, environmental education , training and perfecting the employees). Management of protected areas is a field that has just began to develop, starting with the establishment in 1992 of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (DDBR)
