    Abstract :The existence of vibrations in undesired parts of mechanical machinery, civil structures, aerospace and automotive components,will cause overall setback and efficiency reductions in processes when the above parts are used. Hence is advising to completely get rid of the unnecessary vibrations or reduce them to a minimum possible value. This experiment is an effort to reduce these vibrations using Magneto Rheological fluids. A Magneto Rheological fluid provides viscous damping. The damping factor increases when a magnetic field is applied and is multiplied as the strength of the magnetic field is more, also the natural frequency of the body under test changes from to a value which is different from the initial value. This technique was utilized and a three layered MR fluid sandwich beam was fabricated. This beam was subjected to testing and analysis under both undamped and damped conditions. The controllability of variations in the various dynamic parameters like natural frequencies, vibration amplitudes and damping factors were observed. A reduction is natural frequency of beam was obtained in the presence of MR fluid under magnetic field, from 550 Hz to 300 Hz

    Abnormal fusion of the Mullerian ducts or failure of absorption of the septum causes varying degrees of congenital uterine malformation. Twin gestation in a case of bicornuate uterus is rare. We are reporting this case because of its rare presentation, where a case of undiagnosed twins managed to reach full-term after spontaneous conception. We report here a 30 year old gravida four para one with no live issues who presented at term in labour. Per Abdomen examination suggested a twin gestation which was confirmed by ultrasonography. Both the twins were delivered by an emergency caesarean section. Intraoperatively the uterus was found to be bicornuate uterus (bicornis unicollis) with both the babies in two different horns

    Many neurological and cardiovascular complications have been discovered post-COVID 19 infections. Long-term pulmonary complications like pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and lung abscess are described in different studies. To overcome these complications respiratory chest physiotherapy plays an important role for an individual. Respiratory chest physiotherapy has been shown to improve gas exchange, reverse pathological progression, and reduce or avoid the need for artificial ventilation when it is provided very early in other respiratory conditions. This case study highlights the combined effects of positioning with conventional Respiratory chest physiotherapy in post-COVID 19 respiratory complications in a 26-year-old young individual, presenting with complaints like dyspnoea.     A low-cost adsorbent (wheat plant ash) prepared from agricultural waste for removal of paraquat from aqueous solutions

    26-34A low-cost adsorbent (wheat plant ash) has been prepared using a common agricultural waste (wheat straw) and its physicochemical characteristics, including chemical, physical, mineralogical, and morphological, and adsorption efficacy are investigated. WPA is characterized by SEM (scanning electron microscopy), CHNS(ultimate analysis) analysis, Brunauer–Emmett–Tellersurface area technique, and Fourier transform infrared method. The BET surface area of wheat plant ash was found to be 37 m2/g. To evaluate its adsorption capacity, paraquat is chosen as the adsorbate. Batch adsorption is performed by varying adsorbent dosage, initial concentration, and contact time. Experimental data are fitted to both kinetic and isotherm models. Pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models are applied to experimental data, which indicated that the latter model had the best fit. Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models are then applied to the equilibrium data. The adsorption capacity of WPA for paraquat removal, determined using the Langmuir isotherm, is found to be approximately 241.3 mg/m2 at 303 K

    Background: Subcutaneous emphysema is when gas or air in the layer under the skin. It literally means trapped air in the tissues beneath skin. It has characteristic crackling feel to touch, a sensation that has been described as similar to touching to Rice Krispies; this sensations under skin is called as subcutaneous crepitation.Case Report: A 50-years old male sustained injuries allegedly as a result of vehicular accident and was taken to a nearby private hospital. He was intubated there and then referred to a tertiary care hospital. He succumbed to death during transportation and was declared as brought dead on arrival. His body was brought for autopsy.Conclusion: There was massive subcutaneous emphysema, pneumothorax and pneumoscrotum. Their origin created a dilemma on autopsy due to various reasons. It is discussed in detail and tried to track the origin

    Study of prevalence and socio-demographic determinants of pterygium patients attending at a tertiary care teaching hospital of Western Maharashtra, India

    Background: The pterygium is known to cause refractive errors including astigmatism, which can have negative impact on the vision. The present study was carried out to find out the prevalence and socio-demographic determinants of pterygium patients attending Pravara rural hospital, Loni, Maharashtra, India.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in outpatient department of ophthalmology in Pravara rural hospital, Loni. A total of 1910 patients of various ocular morbidities were registered during the studied period in the department of ophthalmology, among these, 100 patients who had pterygium were reviewed. All 100 patients were examined by torch and slit lamp. Data were analysed statistically using percentage and proportions whenever necessary.Results: Out of the 100 pterygium patients, 48% were in the age group of >60 years, followed by 32% in the age group of 51-60 years. In relation to occupation, maximum 82% patients were farm labours followed by 11% were house workers. Majority (62%) having unilateral, while (38%) was having bilateral pterygium. All cases of pterygium were nasal.Conclusion: People who work outdoors are subjected to increase U.V. exposure. So people must be aware of this and they must take appropriate precautions like wearing protective glasses and caps etc.
