Stable ℋ∞controller design for systems with time delays

One of the difficult problems of robust control theory is to find strongly stabilizing controllers (i.e. stable controllers leading to stable feedback system) which satisfy a certain ℋ∞ performance objective. In this work we discuss stable ℋ∞controller design methods for various classes of systems with time delays. We consider sensitivity minimization problem in this setting for SISO plants. We also discuss a suboptimal design method for stable ℋ∞controllers for MIMO plants. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg

Examining the role of three sets of innovation attributes for determining adoption of the interbank mobile payment service

The interbank mobile payment service (IMPS) is a very recent technology in India that serves the very critical purpose of a mobile wallet. To account for the adoption and use of IMPS by the Indian consumers, this study seeks to compare three competing sets of attributes borrowed from three recognized pieces of work in the area of innovations adoption. This study aims to examine which of the three sets of attributes better predicts the adoption of IMPS in an Indian context. The research model is empirically tested and validated against the data gathered from 323 respondents from different cities in India. The findings are analysed using the SPSS analysis tool, which are then discussed to derive the key conclusions from this study. The research implications are stated, limitations listed and suggestions for future research on this technology are then finally made

Recently, entrepreneurship is emerging as an important concept in creating economic growth and employment. The human factor is the structure should be evaluated primarily on entrepreneurship. This study aimed to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial individual personality characteristics. Method: The articles that are related with entrepreneurship, personality, neurosis, extroversion were searched by key words in PubMed, Medline, EBSCOHost, PsycINFO, Science Direct, Turkish Medline, Cukurova Index Databases and in Google Scholar and those appropriate for this review were used by authors. Expected Results: Conclusion: Our study revealed the influence of individual differences on entrepreneurship. studies showing that impact on the behavior of personality traits, will be a guide to future entrepreneurs. Personality include sustainability aspects of individual's mental, emotional, social and physical. Meta-analytic studies showed that individual differences effect on entrepreneurial orientation. Entrepreneurs were determined to be risk-taking, innovative, high sense of responsibility, high communication skills individuals. Especially in biological studies, it was determined that extraversion and neurotic structure increase entrepreneurship

Robust control of infinite dimensional systems

Basic robust control problems are studied for the feedback systems where the underlying plant model is infinite dimensional. The H∞H∞ optimal controller formula is given for the mixed sensitivity minimization problem with rational weights. Key steps of the numerical computations required to determine the controller parameters are illustrated with an example where the plant model include time delay terms

A patient presenting with concha bullosa in another concha bullosa: a case report

INTRODUCTION: Anatomic variations of the paranasal sinuses are very common. The paranasal sinus anatomy should be carefully examined prior to performing endoscopic sinus surgery in terms of both existent pathologies and anatomic variations. The anatomy of the paranasal sinuses and its variations have gained importance, along with advances in coronal paranasal sinus computed tomography and extensive use of endoscopic sinus surgery. CASE PRESENTATION: A 53-year-old Caucasian woman was admitted to our clinic with complaints of nasal breathing difficulties and headache persisting for a long time. Another concha bullosa was detected in the middle concha bullosa on preoperative paranasal computed tomography examination. It is known that the paranasal sinuses have a number of anatomical variations. CONCLUSION: Herein we report a rare case, along with a review of the literature, to emphasize that a concha bullosa inside another concha bullosa should not be ignored
