PENENTUAN KADAR Pb (Timbal) DALAM RAMBUT PEKERJA SPBU DI KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR BERDASARKAN LOKASI DAN MASA KERJANYA SECARA SPEKTROFOTOMETRI SERAPAN ATOM

SPBU merupakan tempat pengisian bahan bakar umum yang memungkinkan terjadinya pencemaran Pb (Timbal) yang berasal dari bensin. Timbal yang berada di sekitar SPBU dapat menyebabkan pencemaran udara sehingga dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kesehatan orang-orang yang berada di sekitar SPBU terutama para pekerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar logam Pb yang berada di SPBU Kabupaten Karanganyar berdasarkan lokasi sepi dan ramai serta hubungannya dengan masa kerja pekerja SPBU di daerah tersebut. Sampel yang diambil berupa rambut pekerja SPBU Kabupaten Karanganyar sebanyak 4 SPBU. Dengan 3 kelompok masa kerja, sebagai pembanding diambil sampel rambut non pekerja SPBU sebanyak 3 orang. Sampel rambut kemudian dipreparasi dan hasil preparasi kemudian dibaca dengan Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada sampel rambut pekerja SPBU di Karanganyar terdapat kandungan logam Pb. Diperoleh kadar Pb di tempat sepi dengan masa kerja 1-6 tahun adalah 0,5122 μg/g, masa kerja 7-12 tahun 0,8192 μg/g, masa kerja 13-18 tahun 0,9054 μg/g. Di tempat ramai diperoleh kadar Pb, masa kerja 1-6 tahun adalah 1,1178 μg/g, 7-12 tahun 1,2543 μg/g, 13-18 tahun 1,3771 μg/g. Untuk pembanding diperoleh kadar Pb 0,2442 μg/g. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada kadar logam Pb antara lokasi sepi dan ramai, pada lokasi ramai kadar Pb lebih besar. Masa kerja dari pekerja SPBU mempengaruhi kadar logam Pb dalam rambut pekerjanya

ESR evidence for disordered magnetic phase from ultra-small carbon nanotubes embedded in zeolite nanochannels

A multi-frequency electron spin resonance (ESR) study provides evidence for the occurrence of low temperature ferromagnetic/spin-glass behavior in aligned arrays of sub-nanometer single walled carbon nanotubes confined in zeolite nano-channels, owing to sp2-type non-bonding carbon associated localized states with density of ~3 x 1019 /g. Features related to the much anticipated conduction ESR are not detected. Exomars entry and descent science

The entry, descent and landing of ExoMars offer a rare (once-per-mission) opportunity to perform in situ investigation of the martian environment over a wide altitude range. We present an initial assessment of the atmospheric science that can be performed using sensors of the Entry, Descent and Landing System (EDLS), over and above the expected engineering information. This is intended to help fulfill the concept of an Atmospheric Parameters Package (APP), as mentioned in the ExoMars draft Science Management Plan [ESA, 2005]. Mars' atmosphere is highly variable in time and space, due to phenomena including inertio-gravity waves, thermal tide effects, dust, solar wind conditions, and diurnal, seasonal and topographic effects. Atmospheric profile measurements, drawing on heritage from the Huygens Atmospheric Structure Instrument (HASI), which encountered Titan's atmosphere in 2005 [1], should allow us to address questions of the martian atmosphere's structure, dynamics and variability

In 1896 Louis Lumet despised the state and openly yearned for a red Messiah to sweep away bourgeois culture and politics. By 1904 he was in the receipt of state fundin g. This article unravels the paradox of his trajectory by f ocusing on the common interest that eventually united his i nterests with those of republican governments: the relation ship between art and the people. Drawing on hitherto unknow n writings by Lumet himself, as well as on little-used arch ives, the article explores Lumet’s anarchist persona and co nnections in fin-de-siècle Paris, charts his involvement in the Théâtre d’Art Social and the Théâtre Civique, and exam ines his role in the state-supported Art pour Tous.
