Get PDF
Changing street conditions is an important issue in the applications in mechanized route of vehicles essentially because of vast change in appearance in lane markings on by variables such substantial movement and changing daylight conditions of the specific time of day. A path identification framework is an imperative segment of numerous computerized vehicle frameworks. In this paper, we address these issues through lane identification and vehicle recognition calculation to manage testing situations, for example, a lane end and flow, old lane markings, and path changes. Left and right lane limits will be distinguished independently to adequately handle blending and part paths utilizing a strong calculation. Vehicle discovery is another issue in computerized route of vehicles. Different vehicle discovery approaches have been actualized yet it is hard to locate a quick and trusty calculation for applications, for example, for vehicle crashing (hitting) cautioning or path evolving system .Vision-based vehicle recognition can likewise enhance the crash cautioning execution when it is consolidated with a lane marking identification calculation. In crash cautioning applications, it is vital to know whether the obstruction is in the same path with the sense of self vehicle or not

EEG is brain signal process technique that enables gaining the understanding of the complicated inner mechanisms of the brain and abnormal brain waves have shown to be related to specific brain disorders. The analysis of brain waves plays a vital role in identification of various brain disorders. MATLAB provides an interactive graphic computer programme (GUI) permitting users to flexibly and interactively method their high-density encephalogram knowledge set and different brain signal data totally different techniques similar to freelance element analysis (ICA) and reconciling filter. We are going to be showing totally different brain signals by scrutiny, analysing and simulating datasets that is already loaded within the MATLAB package to method the encephalogram signals. Unfortunately, graph knowledge is usually contaminated by ocular artifacts that create the analysis of neural knowledge terribly troublesome. The main focus of this analysis is that the development of a unique technique which will mechanically notice and take away eyeblink artifacts so as to facilitate analysis of graph recordings. During this project, we have a tendency to compare the adaptive filter and freelance part Analysis techniques. For this project we have a tendency to used EEGLAB MATLAB tool chest. By victimisation this tool chest we have done the simulation of our project

Assessing the impact of soil moisture-temperature coupling on temperature extremes over the Indian region

While previous model sensitivity studies have mainly focused on discerning the soil moisture-precipitation feedback processes over the Indian region, the present study investigates the impact of soil moisture-temperature (SM-T) coupling on the temperature extremes (ExT) using the high-resolution (~60 km) model simulations. These simulations include the control and soil moisture (SM) sensitivity experiments (DRY-SM and WET-SM) initialized by perturbing (decreasing/increasing) SM from the historical (HIST: 1951-2010) and future 4K warming (FUT: 2051-2100) control runs. The analysis identifies the transitional regions of north-central India (NCI) as the hotspot of strong SM-T coupling. Over NCI, the HIST experiment shows an occurrence of 4-5 extreme events per year, with an average duration of 5-6 days per event and intensity exceeding 46oC. Whereas, FUT estimates indicate relatively severe, long-lasting, and more frequent extreme events. The SM sensitivity experiments reveal the significant influence of SM-T coupling on the ExT over NCI in both historical and future climates. We find that the DRY-SM results in significant enhancement of frequency, duration and intensity of ExT, in contrast to WET-SM. We note that the difference between DRY-SM and WET-SM 50-year return value of the block maxima GEV fit can reach upto 1.25oC and 3oC for historical and future climate, respectively. The enhanced (reduced) extreme temperature conditions in DRY-SM (WET-SM) simulation are caused by the intensification (abridgement) of sensible heat flux by limiting (intensifying) available total energy for evaporative cooling due to faster (slower) dissipation of positive soil moisture anomalies (also called as soil moisture memory). In addition, the influence of SM on ExT over NCI is found to be larger during the post-monsoon season as compared to the pre-monsoon and monsoon seasons.Comment: 60 pages, 13 figure

Ransomware poses a dangerous threat to cybersecurity. Data as well as rights owned by the user are adversely impacted. The situation has become considerably more critical as a result of the emergence of new ransomware varieties and Ransomware-as-a-Service. In this paper, we presented a novel deception-based and behaviour-based method for real-time ransomware detection. In order to avoid any loss before ransomware is discovered, we build pretend files and directories for nefarious behaviours. We conducted a pilot study using Locky, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of our strategy with little system resource usage and geographical cost.&nbsp

Validation of cytoplasmic genetic male sterility in rabi sorghum hybrids and their parents using diagnostic set of microsatellite markers

Get PDF
Sorghum is an important cereal crop where cytoplasmic male sterility is exploited for hybrid breeding. Presently, A1 cytoplasm CGMS system has been well established because of the ease and stability of fertility restoration. Conventionally, genetic purity of hybrids is ensured by grow out test. In this context, DNA marker assisted selection technology offers an efficient alternative over traditionally grow out test especially in terms of time, environmental influence, space and cost-effective. Microsatellite markers are best suited for genetic purity assessment due to codominant nature

In this study the cardiovascular protective antioxidative and antimicrobial properties of natural thallus of lichen Usnea complanata has been reported. Ethyl acetate extract showed maximum HMG-CoA reductase inhibitory activity up to 52.87 % at 200 μg/ml. Ethanol extract at same concentration showed 46.37 % inhibition of angiotensin converting enzyme. Maximum fibrinolytic activity was obtained in ethanol extract followed by hexane extract. Ethanol extract of U. complanata showed antioxidative activity as scavenging of nitric oxide radical, free radical scavenging and lipid peroxidation inhibition with an IC50 value ranging from 0.062 to 0.27 μg/ml, which was lower than the other solvent extracts. All extract with the exception of DMSO and hexane showed inhibitory activity against bacteria and fungi. Ethyl acetate extract was found to be most efficient as MIC90 was found in the range 4.61 – 21.55 μg/ml. Acetone and ethyl acetate extract inhibited all the tested fungi with MIC values ranged from 6.25 to 100 μg/ml and 12.5 to 100 μg/ml, respectively. Cardiovascular protective and antioxidative properties were shown strong correlation with the total polyphenol content present in the extract with R2 value ranging from 0.585 to 0.927.Colegio de Farmacéuticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aire

A preliminary study on perioperative hemostatic effect of spray dried powder of Chromolaena odorata leaf extract

547-555Accidents or surgery often cause internal haemorrhage in liver and arteries which may lead to patient morbidity and mortality. The current hemostatic agents used for treatment like collagen, oxidized cellulose, and chitosan suffer from side effects which include infection, inflammation and even sepsis. In the present study, we studied the spray dried powder (SDP) of the aqueous extract of the leaves of Chromolaena odorata (L.) R.M.King & H.Rob., commonly known as Siam weed or Common floss flower and also Christmas bush, for its hemostatic efficacy in two experimental models of surgery. Firstly, the SDP was screened through standard pharmacognostical parameters, and a part of the liver was lacerated in rats and femoral artery was transected in rabbits to assess the blood loss in pre-weighed gauze with and without treatment. In the liver laceration model, an effective blood loss reduction of 54.30 % was observed with oral administration of SDP 7 days prior to surgery. Similarly, application of SDP at the site of artery transection caused 70.36% reduction in blood loss as compared to the control rabbit artery. The results suggest that oral delivery and/or application of SDP of C. odorata by formulating it in a suitable drug delivery tool could minimize perioperative bleeding in hepatic and arterial tissue and improve recovery

There are two traditional ways to read Kant’s claim that every event necessarily has a cause: the weaker every-event some-cause (WCP) and the stronger same-cause same-effect (SCP) causal principles. The debate on whether and where he subscribes to the SCP has focused on the Analogies in the Critique of Pure Reason (Guyer, Allison, and Watkins) and on the Metaphysical Foundations of Natural Science (Friedman). By analysing the arguments and conclusions of both the Analogies and the Postulates, as well as the two Latin principles non datur casus and non datur fatum that summarise their results, I will argue that the SCP is actually demonstrated in the Postulates section of the First Critique

The September 2004 stench off the southern Malabar coast - A consequence of holococcolithophore bloom

Get PDF
During the third week of September 2004, particularly on 16th and 17th, an unusual and strong stench was reported from the coast at Kollam and Vizhinjam in Kerala (India). Local dailies reported that over 200 children, mostly below 15 years, complained of nausea, chest pain and short periods of breathlessness because of the stench. Many were hospitalized, but were discharged within a couple of hours. A press report stated that the stench was due to dead fish scattered on the beaches and in the water. The report linked the fish death to oxygen depletion and choking of fish gills. Both were reported to be possibly due to proliferation and eventual putrefaction of a fish-toxic alga Cochlodinium polykreikoides. Information was put up on the web that the bloom was caused by Karenia brevis, a toxic dinoflagellate. It was reported that the stench could be felt up to 5 km inland from the coast. On 20 September 2004, the Government of Kerala requested the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa to determine the cause of the phenomenon. In response, a team from NIO collected near-shore samples of water on 23 and 26 September off Vizhinjam, Shanghumugham and Kollam. During 3-7 October 2004, RV Sagar Sukti, a coastal research vessel of NIO, was used to collect samples in the waters offshore of Vizhinjam, Veli, Kollam in the depth zones of 20-50 m. The water samples collected on 23 and 26 September from the near-shore spots were analysed for various chemical (dissolved oxygen, hydrogen sulphide, nutrients, and salinity) and biological (microbiological, phytoplankton counting and identification) variables. Data from sea-level records at Cochin Port were also examined to learn about the possible evolution of physical conditions before and after the episode described above. In this preliminary report inferences based on analysis of the data is presented
