The aim of the present study was to predict the variables that facilitate integration of unaccompanied foreign minors (UFM) and to develop personal learning environment (PLE) questionnaire dimensions with respect to social integration of UFM. Methods: A social study that was descriptive in nature was conducted with a quantitative empirical-analytical focus. Results: Results from discriminant function analysis indicate that 86% of group membership was correctly classified from gender alone, with female learning environments leading to greater future success. Conclusions: It can be concluded that the predictive results possess methodological coherence. Thus, from them we can propose possible development strategies, particularly targeting males, in order to improve learning and promote social integration. According to the results obtained, improvement of learning strategies and strengthening of the very learning environments, demands new policies to be established which promote emotional improvement and better futures for UFM, especially males.Research Project Competitive EDU2017-88641-

This work focuses on the evaluation of quality through the satisfaction of training of the education students of Melilla, the method to be used will be the content analysis by procedures systematic and objective description of the content of the messages, allowing the inference of knowledge related to production / reception conditions (social context) of these messages (Bardin, 1996: 32, Berrocal and Megías, 2015, Buendía, 2010), of instruments and existing, and with which the evaluations of the degrees are currently carried out, in the University of Granada, carrying out an exhaustive analysis of the system of indicators proposed by ANECA (National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation) and the Vice-Rector's Office for the Guarantee of Quality of the University of Granada, and, on the other hand, establishing comparisons of the criteria of analysis of quality indicators in several national and international universities. After the analysis we can conclude that, in general, the indicators to be evaluated are not based on evidence of user satisfaction, based on the documents on the evaluation of university teaching quality, and, depending on the content analysis, we can propose a series of indicators that allow to evaluate the quality of the Training of the Degrees of Education externally, trying to improve the criteria of effectiveness and efficiency.

Vertical wind profile characterization and identification of patterns based on a shape clustering algorithm

Wind power plants are becoming a generally accepted resource in the generation mix of many utilities. At the same time, the size and the power rating of individual wind turbines have increased considerably. Under these circumstances, the sector is increasingly demanding an accurate characterization of vertical wind speed profiles to estimate properly the incoming wind speed at the rotor swept area and, consequently, assess the potential for a wind power plant site. The present paper describes a shape-based clustering characterization and visualization of real vertical wind speed data. The proposed solution allows us to identify the most likely vertical wind speed patterns for a specific location based on real wind speed measurements. Moreover, this clustering approach also provides characterization and classification of such vertical wind profiles. This solution is highly suitable for a large amount of data collected by remote sensing equipment, where wind speed values at different heights within the rotor swept area are available for subsequent analysis. The methodology is based on z-normalization, shape-based distance metric solution and the Ward-hierarchical clustering method. Real vertical wind speed profile data corresponding to a Spanish wind power plant and collected by using a commercialWindcube equipment during several months are used to assess the proposed characterization and clustering process, involving more than 100000 wind speed data values. All analyses have been implemented using open-source R-software. From the results, at least four different vertical wind speed patterns are identified to characterize properly over 90% of the collected wind speed data along the day. Therefore, alternative analytical function criteria should be subsequently proposed for vertical wind speed characterization purposes. The authors are grateful for the financial support from the Spanish Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness and the European Union —ENE2016-78214-C2-2-R—and the Spanish Education, Culture and Sport Ministry —FPU16/042

This paper describes an experience that has been carried out by several professors in different subjects. Our experience is framed within the First Plan in Teaching of the University of Seville. All involved subjects belong to the electronic technology area and from three Computer Science degrees. We propose to use, in a combined way, some learning techniques: cooperative learning as complement to traditional learning, role-playing technique and jigsaw technique. We have considered a base methodology but in each subject a variant of it has been accomplished. We have used several evaluation techniques, such as reciprocal evaluation, electronic portfolio and check lists. Applying our methodology helps us to detect learning problems before the term ends. Also, in tune with the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), our methology gives a boost to develop transversal competences as important as work (or study) management, empathy and understanding of other members in a workgroup, conflict resolution, capacity to make decisions as well as coordinate and communicate with other members in a workgroup and also with the professor

[EN] The aim of this article is to facilitate the understanding of the historical phases of the complex construction process at the College of San Pablo, initiated in 1556 and in progress to this day, through three-dimensional virtual reconstructions, obtained from two-dimensional graphichypotheses as well as from the laser scanner survey of the part corresponding to the old Jesuit schools, in order to preserve its original architectural configuration almost intact. It is a building of great relevance for the city of Granada, being known as Jesuit College, University, and Law School, which throughout its history has undergone different transformations. The methodology used to obtain the main phases of the historical-construction process has been based on the collection and analysis of primary and secondary sources. The realization of virtual reconstructions, using 3D modelling and subsequent rendering has proven to be an efficient instrument of conceptual recreation of the spaces and shapes of the architectural complex, due to its great utility in future interventions in the building in addition to its ability to disseminate among the scientific community.[ES] El objetivo de este artículo es facilitar la comprensión de las fases históricas del complejo proceso constructivo del colegio de San Pablo, iniciado en 1556 hasta la actualidad, mediante reconstrucciones virtuales tridimensionales, obtenidas a partir de hipótesis gráficas bidimensionales y del levantamiento con escáner láser de la parte correspondiente a las antiguas escuelas jesuitas, por conservar casi intacta su configuración arquitectónica original. Background: The aim of the present study was to validate and develop the dimensions of the Personal Learning Environments (PLE) questionnaire with regards to the social integration of unaccompanied foreign minors (MENA), in addition to analyzing its psychometric properties. Methods: This study was conducted using an expert panel and exploratory techniques in a population of unaccompanied foreign minors (referred to hereon as MENA). The sample used for the validation was formed of 250 MENA aged between 13 and 17 years, with 206 (83.6%) being male and 41 (16.4%) being female. An expert panel was formed including 10 scholars of Education Sciences. The panel identified four dimensions, which were confirmed through exploratory factorial analysis conducted using the program called FACTOR Analysis (Lorenzo-Seva and Ferrando, 2006). Results: The results indicate that the PLE questionnaire provides reliable dimensions at the level alpha = 0.902. Examination of Pearson correlations identified significant values (p < 0.01) for almost all dimensions, with the highest value being produced for the association between the dimensions of communication and social interaction (CIS) and planning and management of learning (r = 0.641). Conclusions: From this study, it is concluded that the results of the study and the validation of the PLE in MENA populations through the four identified dimensions are valid and reliable for enabling multi-dimensional analyses to be carried out. This research was funded by I + D + I Project “Hybrid learning models for educational intervention with Unaccompanied Foreign Minors (MENAs)”.
