LA PREVENCIÓN DESDE LA FAMILIA PARA EVITAR UNA INADECUADA DIETA NUTRICIONAL DE LOS NIÑOS EN LA PRIMERA INFANCIA

La familia juega un significativo papel en la alimentación de sus niños, de ahí que la educación nutricional sea un factor importante a considerar para su crecimiento y desarrollo. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo proponer variadas actividades dirigidas a la preparación de las familias para que conozcan acerca de los alimentos y su incidencia en la evolución del organismo humano, a tales efectos se realizó un diagnóstico con la utilización de métodos teóricos como el analítico-sintético e inductivo-deductivo;  otros de carácter  empíricos, la observación,  entrevista y encuesta, los que proporcionaron todo el sustento teórico y práctico para fundamentar la necesidad de una alimentación adecuada en el hogar  orientada desde la institución educativa. EL TRABAJO PREVENTIVO DE LA FAMILIA EN INTERACCIÓN CON LA INSTITUCIÓN

El trabajo preventivo de la familia desde su labor educativa con los hijos es uno de los grandes retos a los que se enfrenta la institución educativa, la que requiere de vías, métodos y alternativas que sean efectivas para lograr alcanzar un desarrollo integral de los niños y adolescentes. De ahí que la preparación recíproca de ambas instituciones sea una prioridad en la educación cubana. En el presente artículo se exponen algunos fundamentos teóricos que sustentan los principios formativos de nuestro sistema educativo como eje esencial desde la propia actividad del educador, el que debe contemplar la atención a la familia desde la diversidad y el contexto en que se desarrollan estos niños y adolescentes. La sociedad ha puesto empeño en la difícil tarea de prevenir, minimizar o impedir las manifestaciones de intento suicida, fenómeno que posee un nexo inseparable con los procesos sociales, de ahí que la preparación integral desde la formación inicial del maestro primario para el desarrollo de este trabajo en sus diferentes contextos de actuación, son retos que el sector educacional deberá enfrentar para eliminar los obstáculos que interfieren en la prevención desde el proceso educativo de cualquier manifestación con un desenlace fatal. Removal of Heavy Metals Using Adsorption Processes Subject to an External Magnetic Field

Adsorption is a broadly used process for the removal of heavy metals and the world trend is directed to the application of new technologies to intensify existing processes. The properties of the magnetic field (intensity and arrangement) and the intrinsic magnetic properties of the adsorbent and the adsorbate are decisive for satisfactory results. The intensity of the magnetic field is important, because this implies that the greater number of spins present will align with the magnetic field according to the magnetic nature present, allowing the mobility of the adsorbate and generating heterogeneity on the surface of the adsorbent. Similarly, the arrangement of the magnetic field will determine the direction of the magnetic field lines. Inflammatory mediators and immune response in Mexican adolescents

Introduction: Low-grade inflammation and increased immunity related to cardiovascular diseases have been described in children and adults, however, studies in Mexican adolescents are being done at present. Objective: To evaluate inflammatory proteins and indicators of immunity in adolescents by gender and body mass index. Material and methods: 115 Mexican adolescents, 15-18 years old (36 men), were divided into non-overweight, risk of overweight and overweight by CDC pediatric criteria by body mass index. Serum concentrations of ceruloplasmin, C3 and C4 were quantified by nephelometry; IL-6 and TNF-α from stimulated supernatant were analyzed with Human Th1-Th2 cytokine CBA II kit (BD Biosciences Pharmigen, San Diego, CA), and detected by flow cytometry. Data were analysed by Mann-Whitney U. Results: Gender differences were found in C3 (men: median 118.8, mean rank: 41.0; women: median: 143.9, mean rank: 65.7, p = 0.001) and ceruloplasmin (men: median: 31.01, mean rank: 47.06; women: median: 31.0, mean rank: 62.9, p = 0.015). Differences by BMI were found in C3 (women non-overweight: median: 137.00 mena rank: 36.52; women with risk of overweight/overweight: median: 175.80, mean rank: 57.69, p = 0.002) and C4 (men non-overweight: median: 23.40, mean rank: 16.60; men with risk of overweight/overweight: median: 26.40, mean rank: 26.36, p = 0.028; women non-overweight: median: 24.25, mean rank: 37.16 and women with risk of overweight/overweight: median: 32.80, mean rank: 54.42, p = 0.013). Conclusion: Inflammatory proteins are increased in adolescents with risk of overweight and overweight, particularly in women

HEALTH EDUCATION IN ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE COMMUNITY CONTEXT RESUMEN En más de una oportunidad se ha expresado el daño que provoca el mal hábito de fumar e ingerir bebidas alcohólicas, así como la necesidad de que la juventud conozca los perjuicios que pueden evitarse al no consumirlos. El trabajo conforma una de las aristas que pueden servir de pautas para la educación de la salud, vistas desde el contexto comunitario, referidas a estas prácticas. Ofrecemos algunos elementos que han podido constituir factor de riesgo, se han utilizaron algunos métodos que permitió la interpretación, selección y adopción de posiciones relativas al tema y el enriquecimiento del diagnóstico, Es el contexto comunitario dado sus potencialidades, el mejor espacio para desde ahí ejercer influencia y brindar un grupo de sugerencias. ABSTRACT On more than one occasion has been expressed the damage caused by bad habit of smoking and ingesting alcoholic beverages, as well as the need for youth to know the damages that can be avoided by not consuming them. The work is one of the aspects that can serve as guidelines for health education, seen from the community context, referring to these practices. We offer some elements that may have been a risk factor, some methods have been used that allowed the Interpretation, selection and adoption of positions related to the topic and the enrichment of the diagnosis. It is the community context given its potentialities, the best space from which to exert influence and offer a group of suggestions.
