    Fighting Zero Hunger Amidst The Pandemic

    One of the goals of the International Human Rights Movement Philippines is to help the Pastoral Care for Children at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Subic, Zambales, Philippines in sustaining and fighting zero hunger because the majority of the residents of Matain, Subic, Zambales was greatly affected by the global pandemic, some of them lost their jobs and others lost their business income. The Project was conducted last February 27, 2022 in celebration of the Birthday of the Founding Chairman of IHRM, Dr. Rana Basharat, and the Ambassador at Large / Country Director of the IHRM Philippines in sponsoring the Feeding Program in support to the United Nations SDG 2 Zero Hunger, the said event was also participated by the Honorable Mayor Jonathan John Khonghun, Mayor of Subic, Zambales, Philippines The Researchers would like to cite that there is a need to address the issues on malnourishment and hunger in collaboration with the Government in attaining the Sustainability and Development

    The Effect of Stem-Based Learning Module on Students Learning Outcomes and Motivation in General Chemistry Courses

    This study aims to determine the effect of STEM-based learning modules on learning outcomes and student motivation in general chemistry courses. This research is a quantitative research. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar in September 2021-January 2022. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group pretest-posttest design. Data collection methods used were multiple choice tests to measure learning outcomes and questionnaires to analyze learning motivation. The results showed that the use of STEM-based modules had an effect on student learning outcomes and motivation in general chemistry courses. The increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class can be seen from the large percentage of students who get high N-Gain scores in the experimental class, which is 67.8% compared to the percentage of students who get high N-gain scores in the control class. class that reaches 20%. The use of STEM-based learning modules can increase students' learning motivation, namely learning motivation as much as 76% in the very high category, 9% in the high category, and 15% in the medium category, and none of the students have learning motivation in the low and very high low categories. . The conclusion of this study is that there is a very significant influence through STEM-based learning modules on student learning outcomes and motivation in general chemistry courses

    The Perceptions of Junior High School Teachers in West Nias Regency towards the Implementation Independent Curriculum in 2023

    The article was to find out how enthusiastic Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan (PJOK) teachers in West Nias district about the process of implementing learning using the independent curriculum in 2023. The researchers used survey approach in quantitative descriptive investigations. The data collection method used questionnaire, and the data analysis used descriptive statistics with percentages. Quota sampling was used to determine the population in this study, which totaled 40 PJOK teachers in West Nias District. The number of samples was based on the number of people visited by the researchers of 40 PJOK teachers in West Nias District. The instrument used a reliability level of 0.975 which is relatively high. The result showed that the teachers with keywords have moderate perceptions of the implementation of independent curriculum learning in West Nias Regency in 2023. The results of distributing questionnaires at the SMP level in West Nias Regency have a percentage of 5% or 2 teachers have categories very positive, the percentage of 3% or 1 teacher has a positive category, the percentage of 80% or 32 teachers has a moderate category, the percentage of 12% or 5 teachers has a negative category and the percentage of 0% or 0 teachers has a very negative category. This indicates that the opinion of PJOK teachers regarding the implementation of learning using the independent curriculum at the West Nias District Middle School level in 2023 is in the moderate category, this can be seen from the highest percentage results which state that the percentage of 80% or 32 teachers is in the moderate category. The researcher is thinking of implementing a home gardening to each Municipality in our Province. As per the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 Philippines there is a need to observe Social Distance and proper quarantine protocol to avoid from the infections of the widespread virus. The Civil Service Commission Philippines and the other government agencies release a memorandum on the operational process of manpower during the pandemic situations. As a result of their discussion they have come-up with a new approach with regards to operational procedures on Human Resources. Most of the Human Resource Management Officer arranged a Work From Home Scheme while others on a 50% capacity of manpower to report for work depending on the quarantine protocol set by regions or provinces. New Best Practices will be applied in the coming New Nor-mal in terms of Human Resources Management Approach
