Objective: To develop and validate a terminological subset of the International Classification for Nursing Practice for COVID-19 patients in critical care. Method: This is a methodological study, which followed the guidelines of the Brazilian method, using the Basic Human Needs as a theoretical model. Content validation was performed by 25 specialist nurses using the Delphi technique. Results: A total of 73 diagnoses and their respective nursing results were prepared. Of these, 62 statements had a Content Validity Index ≥ 0.80, with the need for oxygenation having the highest number of statements. Of the 210 nursing interventions developed, and after suggestions from experts, 150 interventions reached an index ≥ 0.80 and comprised the terminological subset. Conclusion: The terminological subset developed showed statements that were validated by specialist nurses and, therefore, are relevant to the nurse’s clinic in the critical care scenario associated with Covid-19.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

An atopic breast eczema is usually bilateral, with intense pruritus and good response to corticosteroids. The differential diagnosis with mammary Paget’s disease is fundamental, mainly in unilateral clinical manifestations, since it is frequently associated to adjacent breast tumors. The aim of the present report was to present a clinical condition of an atopic breast eczema through an exuberant and unilateral clinical presentation, emphasizing the need of the differential diagnosis for malignant diseases at this location

Objective: To propose a care protocol for the care of the person with a venous ulcer in highly complex services. Methods and results: This is a methodological study, in three stages: literature review, validation of content and validation in the clinical context. The literature review was carried out from June to August/2011, being the basis for the construction of the Protocol for Venous Ulcers. The content validation included 53 judges (44 nurses, 8 physicians and 1 physiotherapist) selected through the Lattes platform to evaluate the items of the protocol. Validation in the clinical context occurred at the University Hospital Onofre Lopes, in Natal/RN with four judges (nurses), who worked in pairs, evaluating 32 patients with venous ulcers. The protocol was validated with 15 categories: sociodemographic data; anamnesis; examinations; ulcer characteristics; care with the lesion and perilesional area; medicines used to treat the lesion; evaluation and treatment of pain; surgical treatment of chronic venous disease; recurrence prevention (clinical and educational strategies); reference; counter-reference; and quality of life. Conclusion: The validated protocol regarding content and clinical context was applicable. Its implementation is a viable measure that assists in the reorientation of the team in high complexity services, aiming at wound healing and restoration of the patient´s integral health. To develop and validate a terminological subset of the International Classification for Nursing Practice for COVID-19 patients in critical care.
