Cine–Picc: Satisfaction and Knowledge Following a Video and Hands-on Training on Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter Care

Objective: This study evaluated the knowledge and satisfaction of a nursing staff regarding the care of PICC before and after a combined training strategy consisting of video watching followed by hands-on practice; Methods: A cross-sectional and prospective study with data collection held at a public University Hospital from March to May 2018 and March 2019. The participants answered a pre-test about PICC, watched a video on PICC care and maintenance, watched a hands-on sessions and answered a pos-test. Results: A total of 520 professionals participated, in which 87.4% were from the nursing staff. A pre-test was answered by 211 and 203 answered the post-test questions. The satisfaction research covered a total of 97% satisfied respondents. Processo de educação em saúde a pacientes e familiares na perspectiva do cuidado seguro

Introdução: Este artigo resulta de uma pesquisa de avaliação realizada pelo Grupo multiprofissional de Trabalho de Educação de Pacientes sobre o processo educativo realizada no âmbito hospitalar que procurou avaliar a educação de pacientes e familiares realizada pela equipe multiprofissional de saúde em um hospital universitário do sul do Brasil. Método: Pesquisa de avaliação desenvolvida em unidades de internação clínicas, cirúrgicas e pediátricas. A amostra foi de 149 pacientes, familiares/ acompanhantes. A coleta de dados utilizou um instrumento estruturado sobre o processo educativo, a atuação multiprofissional e a compreensão da educação recebida. Resultados: Dentre os 149 participantes, 75 (50,3%) composto por pacientes e 74 (49,7%) por familiares/acompanhantes. A maioria (94,6%) recebeu orientações realizadas por médicos e enfermeiros; 91,2% referiu que compreendeu a orientação educativa. Cerca de (90,6%) dos participantes conhecia o seu problema de saúde ou o do seu familiar e 81,9% sentiam-se seguros para assumir o cuidado. Conclusão: A educação ocorre em diferentes cenários do hospital. Entretanto, há necessidade de incrementar a participação de diferentes profissionais na educação, potencializando o planejamento terapêutico multiprofissional na perspectiva da segurança no cuidado

Education in Health care: a challenge to change in nursing care praxis

O artigo apresenta a trajetória de implementação de uma proposta de educação em serviço do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Ale-gre (RS) para os profissionais de enfermagem. Aborda os caminhos percorridos pelas educadoras em serviço da Escola Técnica de Enfermagem no sentido de promover mudanças nas práticas educativas que vinham sendo realizadas com base no paradigma da edu-cação continuada. A proposta está fundamentada na Política Nacional de Educação Permanente para os trabalhadores do Sistema Único de Saúde e na Política de Humanização em Saúde do Ministério da Saúde e visa à criação de espaços educativos que permitam a reflexão dialógica sobre os processos de trabalho das equipes de enfermagem. Nessa perspectiva, as mudanças na organização e no exercício da atenção são construídas no cotidiano do trabalho de maneira articulada entre gestão, atenção à saúde, ensino e pesquisa, buscando a superação das concepções tradicionais e o fortalecimento de uma nova visão de educação em saúde. Unitermos: Educação em saúde, educadores em saúde, enfermagem.This paper presents the implementation of an education proposal in health care services for nursing professionals at Hospital de Clínicas in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It approaches the routes followed by educators in service from the Nursing Technical School in the sense of promoting changes in educational practices that had been performed based on the paradigm of continuing education. The proposal is based on the National Policy for Permanent Education for those working for the Brazilian Unified Health System and on the Health Hu-manization Policy of the Brazilian Health Ministry. This experiment aims at the creation of educational spaces that can bring about dis-cussions and some reflection upon work processes by nursing teams. Under such perspective, changes in organization and attention focusing are built throughout everyday work, articulating between management, health care, teaching and research, aiming at overcom-ing the traditional concepts of education in health care and at consolidating a new paradigm in health education
