Resistance against Fascism and Communism in Europe towards a model of analysis

This article puts forward a model for the analysis of resistance against both communism and fascism in the specific period of time around WWII (1938–48/53). Such a model accommodates the experiences of Eastern and Western Europe, more precisely the fights against various types of fascisms and against the expansion of Soviet-type of communism. This type of analysis integrates different, but interrelated manifestations of resistance: discourses, political actions, military activities and everyday cultural practices. My research on resistance is methodologically inspired by the new trend in historiography initiated by the history of emotions

The Year of the Soccer. Polish Emigration in Spain and some Activities of Solidarity with Solidarnosc (1981-1989)

The Polish emigration to Spain was historically not very abundant. Hence the actions of help and support to Solidarność were very weak compared to other European countries. On the one hand, there was a certain solidarity from the Polish trade union members with support of Spanish unionists and there was a slight action of sending economic aid by the new refugees and the oldest colony from the postwar era. In short, and despite its small size, the Polish exile did not hesitate to maintain ties with its struggling compatriots in the country

Formulación del paisaje en la Unión Soviética: arquitecturas y espacios de vida (1917-1929)

El artículo (el primero en una serie de tres) investiga la formulación física y mental de los espacios de vida en la Unión soviética en el período anterior al primer plan quinquenal. En el texto se comparan las imágenes de los diversos grupos vanguardistas así como la imagen del mundo que tenían los bolcheviques con su ejecución en el espacio público. La "alta cultura", la arquitectura, los monumentos o la topografía urbana son usados como medios para descifrar la construcción del paisaje, considerado como el espacio construído donde habitan los seres humanos
