O Portugal Atlântico e o Portugal Mediterrâneo na itinerância régia de meados do século XV (1433-1460)

O texto que aqui apresentamos constitui uma primeira abordagem de um tema complexo que procuraremos vir a aprofundar e tratar com maior fôlego num futuro próximo. O estudo dos lugares de digressão do monarca e do respectivo séquito de burocratas a que procedemos tem por base o levantamento e tratamento informatizado dos diplomas da Chancelaria de D. Duarte e de D. Afonso V. As imagens de mudança e de transposição espacio-temporal pelos homens do poder são-nos fornecidas através da delimitação dos percursos, dos locais de destino ou dos lugares de permanência regular das várias instâncias governativas. Por conseguinte, a articulação e hierarquização espacial das instâncias do poder é um dos principais objectivos deste estudo. The text here presented constitutes a first approach to a complex theme, which, hopefully, we will have the opportunity of studying in more depth in a near future. The present study of the places of digression of the monarch and respective suite of bureaucrats is based on the survey and computer treatment of the diplomas of the Chancelleries of D. Duarte and D. Alphonse V. The images of change and space-time transpositions undergone by the men of power are conveyed by the circumscription of the routes, the destinations, and the places of regular sojourn of the different government instances. Therefore, the articulation and spatial hierarchy of the instances of power is one of the main aims of the present study

historiographic profiles in the syntheses of Portugal

UID/CPO/04627/2019The historiographic studies of the First World War in the most important syntheses of Portugal history follows pari passu the main historiographic changes during the twentieth century and the Portuguese self-concept as a nation. The historiographic discourse on war reflects the political paths and the impact of the dominant historiographical perspectives. The Estado Novo (1926-74) dictatorship promoted the development of historical studies, especially certain fields and specialties, with emphasis on diplomatic and military history and the history of overseas Portuguese expansion. Both served the interests of the political regime. Our study will start from the History of Portugal called “de Barcelos”, produced in the context of dictatorship (1928-1935), and partly influenced by historic traditional currents, continuing with the analysis of João Ameal synthesis (1940); go forward to the modern syntheses produced in democracy time (António Henrique de Oliveira Marques [1972-74, and José Mattoso [1992-94]), that reflect important changes in the scope of our historiography in general, in the concept of Portugal, and mainly in the visions of Portuguese participation in the Great War. Os modelos de análise historiográficos da I Guerra Mundial nas sínteses da História de Portugal acompanham pari passu as principais mudanças da nossa historiografia ao longo do século XX e do autoconceito de Portugal. Ao longo do século XX, o discurso historiográfico sobre a guerra, sofreu as vicissitudes da política e a influência da alteração das perspetivas historiográficas dominantes. Durante a ditadura do Estado Novo (1926-74) foram, especialmente, desenvolvidos os estudos de determinadas temáticas e especialidades, com destaque para a história diplomática e militar e a história da expansão portuguesa. Uma e outra serviam os interesses que mais aproveitavam ao regime. A nossa análise arrancará da História de Portugal dita “de Barcelos”, inicialmente produzida em contexto de ditadura (1928-1935), e em parte influenciada pelas tradicionais correntes da história, prosseguindo com a análise da síntese de João Ameal (1940); trilhando caminho até às mais recentes sínteses concebidas em tempo de democracia (António Henrique de Oliveira Marques [1972-74], e José Mattoso [1992-94]), que refletem importantes alterações no âmbito da nossa historiografia em geral, no conceito de Portugal, e das visões da participação portuguesa na Grande Guerra em particular.publishersversionpublishe

Y a-t-il une nouvelle histoire politique du Moyen Age portugais? Ce travail prétend répondre à cette question, en suivant les divers chemins du politique dans 1’historiographie médiéviste, en les articulant avec 1’institution, par excellence, créatrice des savoirs : 1’Université. En partant de la présentation des principales lignes de recherche, pratiquées ou en cours, et des orientations intellectuelles, nous ferons un bilan de la plus recente historiographie du politique concemant la fin du Moyen Age au Portugal

Who are they? The Parliamentary deputies in Portugal, 11th-13th legislatures. Social and political outline

The study combines the assumptions of the elite’s studies with the dynamics of democratic societies, starting with the empirical collection of data on the Portuguese parliamentary elites from the 11th to the current legislature (13th), with the purpose of building a prosopographic database. The data processing was carried out by legislature, aiming to identify and analyze statistically the relevant quantities of biographic data about the MPs. The study was a cross-sectional survey in which political and sociodemographic issues of the Portuguese deputies where explored and correlated to define the group's profile. In this way, the collected data provided a comparative evaluation of the three legislatures (2009-2011, 2011-2015 and 2015 to present) and created an interrelation between two main analysis dimensions: the sociodemographic one (age, gender representation, educational credentials and occupation) and the political one (parliamentary group, previous held positions (political or party background); career paths – local and / or central power, ex-ministers, number of terms on office). The profile of the members of Parliament as a whole become visible, and the variances marked by electoral processes.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Bolonha e a formação universitária e profissional em Ciência da Informação

O objecto de abordagem deste texto é o estabelecimento de uma relação entre o plano de BOLONHA e as respectivas implicações na reestruturação do ensino e formação em Ciência da Informação.Partindo da análise do novo modelo de organização do ensino superior em três ciclos, tal como consta do documento legal, perspectivam-se as principais mudanças provocadas pela alteração do paradigma de ensino-aprendizagem, procedendo à enunciação dos ajustamentos a executar no domínio da formação em Biblioteca e Documentação e Arquivo. A História Política e a periodização da História de Portugal: problemas, métodos e soluções

Tal como os historiadores portugueses do século passado (XX) estudaram as obras dos autores precedentes, atendendo às noções de periodização, também nós procurámos ver nessa memória do passado historiográfico os principais motivos para o estabelecimento de distintos modelos de periodização da Idade Média Portuguesa. Neste artigo, principiaremos por contextualizar a importância da periodização na História Europeia em geral, para depois nos voltarmos para a explicação das opções de periodização na historiografia portuguesa, salientando a relação entre as escolhas de autor, o sistema cronológico e o domínio historiográfico preferido. Assim, numa visão intencionalmente retrospetiva (partindo das mais recentes periodizações da história para as mais antigas), revelaremos o contexto da produção historiográfica portuguesa sobre periodização da História Medieval de Portugal.In the last century (20th) most of the Portuguese historians have studied the works of the previous specialists, considering the established notions of periodization, we also sought to see in this memory of the historiographical past the main reasons for the establishment of different models of periodization into Portuguese Middle Ages. In this essay we present an overview of periodization methods and regarding periodization like a sort of systemized form to arrange the past. Beginning by contextualizing the importance of periodization in Western History, and then explain the most important choices of periodization in Portuguese historiography, highlighting the relationship between changing thematic foci, historiographic domain and author's choices. Thus, in an intentionally retrospective point of view - starting from the most recent periodizations (chronological systems) from History to the oldest ones -, we will reveal the context of the Portuguese historiographic production on the periodization of Portugal's Medieval History.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
