¿Piensan igual los directivos actuales y futuros? Experimento con subastas de capacidad de GNL
An experiment has been carried out in the laboratory to assess the difference in the
bidding behaviour between current managers of an energy company and future managers or
university students of Economics. The novelty of the experiment is that it has precisely mimicked
a real capacity auction of LNG off-loading and that the professionals that have participated
belong to the energy company that is responsible for the auctions. The experiments show
that the laboratory setting is appropriate both for teaching and experimentation. The research
results demonstrate that professionals bid higher than students and that women bid higher than

futuros directivos o estudiantes universitarios de Economía. La novedad del ensayo es que ha

Partial coherent states in graphene
Producción CientíficaWe employ a symmetric gauge to describe the interaction of electrons in graphene
with a magnetic field which is orthogonal to the layer surface and to build the so-called partial
and bidimensional coherent states for this system in the Barut-Girardello sense. We also evaluate
the corresponding probability and current densities as well as the mean energy value.Junta de Castilla y León (projects

Estradiol activates PI3K/Akt/GSK3 pathway under chronic neurodegenerative conditions triggered by perinatal asphyxia
Perinatal asphyxia (PA) remains as one of the most important causes of short-term mortality, psychiatric and neurological disorders in children, without an effective treatment. In previous studies we have observed that the expression of different neurodegenerative markers increases in CA1 hippocampal area of 4-months-old male rats born by cesarean section and exposed for 19 min to PA. We have also shown that a late treatment with 17β estradiol (daily dose of 250 μg/kg for 3 days) was able to revert the brain alterations observed in those animals. Based on these previous results, the main aim of the present study was to explore the mechanism by which the estrogenic treatment is involved in the reversion of the chronic neurodegenerative conditions induced by PA. We demonstrated that estradiol treatment of adult PA exposed animals induced an increase in estrogen receptor (ER) a and insulin-like growth factor receptor (IGF-1R) protein levels, an activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt/glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta/β-catenin signaling pathway and an increase in Bcl-2/Bax ratio in the hippocampus in comparison to PA exposed animals treated with vehicle. Taking together, our data suggest that the interaction between ERa and IGF-IR, with the subsequent downstream activation, underlies the beneficial effects of estradiol observed in late treatment of PA.Fil: Saraceno, Gustavo Ezequiel. Monomial discrete valuations in k[[X]]
Let v be a rank m discrete valuation of k[[X1,...,Xn]] with dimension n-m. We
prove that there exists an inmediate extension L of K where the valuation is
monomial. Therefore we compute explicitly the residue field of the valuation
Critical radius and temperature for buckling in graphene
In this work, we find an analytical flat-membrane solution to the saddle point equations, derived by F. Guinea et al. [Phys. Rev. B 89, 125428 (2014)], for the case of a suspended graphene membrane of circular shape. We also find how different buckled membrane solutions bifurcate from the flat membrane at critical temperatures and membrane radii. The saddle point equations take into account electron-phonon coupling and this coupling provides a residual stress even for a flat graphene layer. Below a critical temperature (which is exceedingly high for an infinite layer) or above a critical size that depend on boundary conditions, different buckling modes that may be the germ of rippling appear. Our results provide the opportunity to develop new feasible experiments dealing with buckling in small suspended graphene membranes that could verify them. These experiments may also be used to fit the phonon-electron coupling constant or the bending energy
