A 4-Component Dirac Theory of Ionization of Hydrogen Molecular Ion in a Super-Intense Laser Field

In this paper a 4-component Dirac theory of ionization of hydrogen molecular ion in a super-intense laser field is developed. Simple analytic expressions for the spin specific as well as the total ionization currents emitted from the ground state of the ion are derived. The results are given for all polarization and finite propagation vectors of the field. They apply for inner-shell ionization of analogous heavier molecular ions as well. The presence of molecular two-slit interference effect, first found in the non-relativistic case, and the spin-flip ionization current, and an asymmetry of the up- and down-spin currents similar to that predicted in the atomic case, are found also to hold for the present relativistic molecular ionic case. Finally, the possibility of controlling the dominant spin currents by selecting the handedness of a circularly polarized incident laser field is pointed out.Comment: 7 pages, no figure

Throughout the history of human life, poverty is a “plot of story” that could never be erased, and the history of human life is inevitably not free from the history of how people try various ways to overcome this problem. Alms giving (zakat) is one solution that Islam called upon to remove poverty and economic inequalities. Classical as well as Modern Islamic World has enacted various laws and run variety of alms (zakat) management patterns in order to alleviate such poverty. This article covers the application of such charity in the long history of alms giving, since the classical age of Islam to the realities of current application in modern times in some Islamic countries, with main focus, the application of alms in Indonesia. By using historical investigation theory of Charles Peirce and truth deficit of Lieven Boeve, the authors found a number of polarization on the practices of alms withdrawal and its management in Indonesia which further led to a deficit or a reduction in the role and function of such alms itself, which once reached the golden age in the heyday of Islam. This happens due to many factors, including the ineffectiveness of the implementation of the Law of alms (zakat), the lack of trust in the institution of zakat, and the lack of awareness of those compulsory Muslims to give alm. Overcoming such a deficit, it needs integral and solid steps of thestate and society in the spirit of recontectualization of zakat

Effectiveness of Forestry Police in Preventing Illegal Logging Activity in North Halmahera Regency

Illegal logging activity possess the greatest threat resulting in forest destruction due to illegal use of timber forest products in various forest areas in Indonesia, including in North Halmahera Regency. Through Law No. 41 of 1999 concerning forestry, forestry police was formed with special authority covering preventive measures, administrative and repressive operation to be able to maintain the implementation of optimal forest protection. Research method used was empirical legal research. The results indicated that illegal logging activities continued to occur in North Halmahera Regency due to the lack of awareness and desire of communities in the surrounding forest to prevent forest destruction activities, weak law enforcement against those who violate the Law in the forestry sector, and the lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure in carrying out forest protection activities and forest security. The various obstacles faced by the police in the scope of North Halmahera Regional Conservation Resort include the lack of legal socialization to the community, the absence of routine, sudden, and joint patrol activities in the forest area and the loss of coordination with agencies/institutions related to forest protection and security. This condition indicated that the Forestry Police (Polhut) in the scope of North Halmahera Regional Conservation Resort has not been optimal and effective in preventing illegal logging, so that it is necessary to strengthen the role of the Forestry Police in the future, and to make various per-emptive efforts, such as socializing the dangers of illegal logging and the importance of maintaining forest areas as a support for life in the future

Pengaruh Kepemilikan Insider Dan Kebijakan Hutang Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan Manufaktur Di Bursa Efek Indonesia: a Piecewise Linear Regression Analysis

This study aims to examine the impact of insider ownership and debt policy on firm value at manufacture industries in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The issue arises as to whether these ownership structure and debt policy have been effective in reducing agency costs, and therefore enhancing firm value. This paper utilizes a panel data analysis of 293 firm years listed in the Indonesia Stock Market over a seven years period from years 2002 to 2008. A piecewise linear regressionmodel is used to test the hypotheses. Overall, the results highlight the importance of ownership structure role played by insider ownership and debt policy with three control variabels to influence firm value. We find a nonmonotonic relationbetween the fraction of common stock owned by insider and firm value. We find that the negative entrenchment effect is dominant when insider ownership level is less than 5% or greater than 25%, while the 5% to 25% insider ownership level reflect the convergence of interest (alignment ofinterests) hypothesis. We also find a significant positif relation between debt policy and firm value. Finaly, we also find that firm size, firm profitability, and firm age as control variabels have significant impact on firm value. The results are consistent with the hypothesis that firm value is a function of the structure of equity ownership, and debt policy

This research examines whether social influence pressure within the accounting firms affect auditor's willingness to sign-off on financial statements that are materially misstated. This paper also examines the effect o f moral reasoning as variable that may impact individual responses to social influence pressures. A sample o f 92 students from Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi (PPAk) participated in a between-subjects experiment. The results support the hypothesis that obedience and conformity pressures significantly increased auditor 's willingness to sign-off on account balance that was materially misstated. On the other hand, the result shows that moral reasoning does not have effect to auditors ' decisions under social influence pressure
