Nivel de logro de competencias matemáticas en estudiantes del nivel secundario de una Institución Eduactiva de Sitabamba durante los años 2019 y 2020
El presente trabajo de investigación se llevó a cabo en la I.E. N.º 80593 del distrito de
Sitabamba, Provincia de Santiago de Chuco, Región La Libertad. El objetivo principal fue
comparar los niveles de logro de las competencias matemáticas de los años lectivos 2020
(educación remota) y 2019 (educación presencial), de los estudiantes del nivel secundario
de la institución educativa 80593 del distrito de Sitabamba, provincia Santiago de Chuco,
región La Libertad. Se trabajo con una muestra censal de 33 estudiantes, distribuidos en los
grados de 3º, 4º y 5º (año 2020), los cuales el año 2019 cursaban un grado menos. Los
calificativos de los estudiantes fueron recogidos con un registro similar el año 2019 y 2020,
estos fueron analizados haciendo uso del estadístico “t de Student” para la comparación de
medias. Los resultados mostraron que durante la educación remota el nivel de logro de las
competencias matemáticas de los estudiantes del nivel secundario de la I.E. N.º 80593 fue
inferior a la educación presencial, ya que, en promedio el año 2020 (educación remota)
lograron un calificativo significativamente menor al del año 2019 (educación presencial)Tesi
Protocol for developing quality assurance measures to use in surgical trials:an example from the ROMIO study
INTRODUCTION: Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) in surgery are frequently criticised because surgeon expertise and standards of surgery are not considered or accounted for during study design. This is particularly true in pragmatic trials (which typically involve multiple centres and surgeons and are based in 'real world' settings), compared with explanatory trials (which are smaller and more tightly controlled).OBJECTIVE: This protocol describes a process to develop and test quality assurance (QA) measures for use within a predominantly pragmatic surgical RCT comparing minimally invasive and open techniques for oesophageal cancer (the NIHR ROMIO study). It builds on methods initiated in the ROMIO pilot RCT.METHODS AND ANALYSIS: We have identified three distinct types of QA measure: (i) entry criteria for surgeons, through assessment of operative videos, (ii) standardisation of operative techniques (by establishing minimum key procedural phases) and (iii) monitoring of surgeons during the trial, using intraoperative photography to document key procedural phases and standardising the pathological assessment of specimens. The QA measures will be adapted from the pilot study and tested iteratively, and the video and photo assessment tools will be tested for reliability and validity.ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: Ethics approval was obtained (NRES Committee South West-Frenchay, 25 April 2016, ref: 16/SW/0098). Quantitative analysis of a footwall‐scarp degradation complex and syn‐rift stratigraphic architecture, Exmouth Plateau, NW Shelf, offshore Australia
Interactions between footwall‐, hangingwall‐ and axial‐derived depositional systems make syn‐rift stratigraphic architecture difficult to predict, and preservation of net‐erosional source landscapes is limited. Distinguishing between deposits derived from fault‐scarp degradation (consequent systems) and those derived from long‐lived catchments beyond the fault block crest (antecedent systems) is also challenging, but important for hydrocarbon reservoir prospecting. We undertake geometric and volumetric analysis of a fault‐scarp degradation complex and adjacent hangingwall‐fill associated with the Thebe‐2 fault block on the Exmouth Plateau, NW Shelf, offshore Australia, using high resolution 3D seismic data. Vertical and headward erosion of the complex and fault throw are measured. Seismic‐stratigraphic and seismic facies mapping allow us to constrain the spatial and architectural variability of depositional systems in the hangingwall. Footwall‐derived systems interacted with hangingwall‐ and axial‐derived systems, through diversion around topography, interfingering or successive onlap. We calculate the volume of footwall‐sourced hangingwall fans (VHW) for nine quadrants along the fault block, and compare this to the volume of material eroded from the immediately up‐dip fault‐scarp (VFW). This analysis highlights areas of sediment bypass (VFW > VHW) and areas fed by sediment sources beyond the degraded fault scarp (VHW > VFW). Exposure of the border fault footwall and adjacent fault terraces produced small catchments located beyond the fault block crest that fed the hangingwall basin. One source persisted throughout the main syn‐rift episode, and its location coincided with: (a) an intra‐basin topographic high; (b) a local fault throw minimum; (c) increased vertical and headward erosion within the fault‐scarp degradation complex; and (d) sustained clinoform development in the immediate hangingwall. Our novel quantitative volumetric approach to identify through‐going sediment input points could be applied to other rift basin‐fills. We highlight implications for hydrocarbon exploration and emphasize the need to incorporate interaction of multiple sediment sources and their resultant architecture in tectono‐stratigraphic models for rift basins
Distance-Dependent Processing of Adeno-Associated Virus Type 5 RNA Is Controlled by 5′ Exon Definition▿
Adeno-associated virus type 5 (AAV5) is unique among human AAV serotypes in that it uses a polyadenylation site [(pA)p] within the single small intron in the center of the genome. We previously reported that inhibition of polyadenylation at (pA)p, necessary for read-through of P41-generated capsid gene pre-mRNAs which are subsequently spliced, requires binding of U1 snRNP to the upstream donor. Inhibition was reduced as the distance between the cap site and the donor was increased (increasing the size of the 5′ exon). Here, we have demonstrated that U1-70K is a key component of U1 snRNP that mediates inhibition of polyadenylation at (pA)p. Furthermore, introduction of a U-rich stretch, predicted to target TIA-1 and thus increase the affinity of U1 snRNP binding to the intervening donor site, significantly augmented inhibition of (pA)p, while depletion of TIA-1 by siRNA increased (pA)p read-through. Finally, artificially tethering the cap binding complex (CBC) components CBP80 and CBP20 upstream of the intron donor increased inhibition of polyadenylation at (pA)p. Our results suggest that interaction with the CBC strengthens U1 snRNP binding to the downstream intron donor in a manner inversely proportional to the size of the 5′ exon, thus governing the competition between intron splicing and polyadenylation at (pA)p. This competition must be optimized to program both the levels of polyadenylation of P7- and P19-generated RNA at (pA)p required to produce proper levels of the essential Rep proteins and the splicing of P41-generated RNAs to produce the proper ratio of capsid proteins during AAV5 infection
