Human communicative dialogic practices in content and language-based educational interactions with technology

Anthropology has paid close attention to linguistic interaction andforeign language learning. This study approaches the use of dialogic learning that has strong roots in anthropology, sociology and applied linguistics. Following earlier research on teaching content in English in different subjects of teacher training through dialogic interaction, this paper focuses on the specific use of digital technology as a support for analysis through teacher-instructor interaction, as a means of social interaction, and as the creation of self-designed materials for content language integrated learning. Data is obtained from group discussions using digital content. Results indicate that technology represents a shifting pedagogical paradigm to enhance interaction in the Zone of Proximal Development and promote learning content in English through self and peer reflection.The findings of this study may serve as a monitor for content and language integrated learning educators aiming to enhance principled communicative insightful teachingwith technologyMinisterio de Ciencia e Innovació

Linking Technology and Reflective Practice in Primary ELT Teacher Education

This paper presents the qualitative results of a study on the use of technology based dialogic interaction in Primary ELT teacher education. In this research technology was focused on its use to support and act as an elaborative interface in the dialogic interaction between the teacher educators and the teacher learners by (1) providing support for analysis, (2) enhancing social interaction through richer contextualization and (3) favouring the design of new teacher training materials. In this research two teacher educators at the Faculty of Education of Universidad de Alcalá (Madrid, Spain) studied the interactions of their own student teachers in microteaching activities for their own classmates, recorded the teaching-trainee-teaching-trainee and teaching-trainee-teacher interactions, and had a dialogic intervention after watching the recordings. Results indicated that dialogic interaction in the zone of proximal development (ZPD) leads to a general learning improvement along with a better self-image and higher motivation. This is due to a significant reduction of performance anxiety, the development of teaching skills, and capacity to self-observe and reflect on their own performance

El complejo vitivinícola en Mendoza : relaciones socio-económicas y diferencias territoriales

Estudiar la industria del vino en la posconvertibilidad (2002- 2015) debe ir más allá de las habituales recopilaciones de datos estadísticos. Para llevarnos, con el necesario aporte de las herramientas cuantitativas, a un análisis de la naturaleza de las relaciones capital- capital, capital- trabajo y las formas en que el Estado interviene en el complejo. De este modo, se moldean distintas posiciones estructurales, asimetrías que se traducen en desigualdades entre los agentes socio- económicos. En especial, nos preocuparemos por las condiciones diferenciales de reproducción de los agentes socio- económicos, buscando entrever los factores de comando que permiten una apropiación desigual de los excedentes del complejo. Acceso al financiamiento, condiciones de compra- venta a largo de la cadena, grados de capitalización, capacidad de generación de I+D e impacto de las políticas estatales serán algunos puntos que nos ayudarán a observar estas asimetrías. Por otra parte, los diferentes oasis productivos de la provincia han tenido una suerte dispar con los cambios que la denominada reconversión vitivinícola impuso al complejo. Territorios ganadores y perdedores han terminado de configurar un nuevo entramado territorial del complejo diferente de aquel que orientado hacia el marcado interno predominó durante la Industrialización por Sustitución de Importaciones. China y Estados Unidos : su injerencia en América Latina

Analistas geopolíticos y cientistas sociales de diversas disciplinas hablan del "auge chino" y del "declive de Estados Unidos". Entendemos que, parte de este auge y declive va a estar en estrecha relación con la apropiación de los recursos naturales de América Latina, por los países nombrados. En una primera instancia, analizaremos el concepto de desarrollo sustentable, en tanto este concepto permite la entrada de una inculcación ideológica para que dichos países puedan extraer nuestros recursos. Por otra parte, realizaremos una abstracción teórica, pero con datos empíricos, que consiste en pensar qué pasaría si América Latina no da "el buen ejemplo", y comienza un rumbo independiente política y económicamente. The relationships intra-capital in the Mendoza’s : asymmetry and leading agents

La industria del vino comprende distintas etapas, de cada una de ellas participan diversos agentes socio- económicos con desiguales dotaciones de capital y diferentes capacidades de negociación. Estos agentes se vinculan entre sí a partir de relaciones mercantiles y no mercantiles. Como consecuencia de estas relaciones, de las características de los sectores propietarios y de las políticas económicas vigentes van configurándose lógicas diferenciales de reproducción de los diversos estratos de la pequeña burguesía y la burguesía vitivinícola. Procesos que conllevan la expansión de algunos y el retroceso de otros determinando, en cada período histórico, un cuadro de ganadores y perdedores. En el artículo recurrimos a los conceptos de la Escuela Francesa de la Regulación, adaptados por Ariel Filadoro para el análisis de los complejos productivos regionales. El foco del estudio son las formas de la competencia, las relaciones capital- capital. Para este propósito recurrimos a una estrategia de triangulación metodológica, en donde la información provista por las entrevistas a informantes claves son complementadas con fuentes documentales y estadísticas. Finalmente en las conclusiones profundizamos en las causas de la frágil inserción de los pequeños viñateros independientes y esbozamos algunas sugerencias en pos de una vitivinicultura sustentable, inclusiva y competitiva internacionalmente.The wine industry comprises different stages, each of them involves different socio-economic agents with unequal capital endowments and different negotiating capacities. These agents are linked to each other through mercantile and non-mercantile relationships. As consequence of these relations, of the caracteristics of the various strata of the petty bourgeoisie and the wine bourgeoisie. Processes that involve the expansion of some and the regression of others determining, in each historical period, a picture of winners and losers. In the article, we will use the concepts of the French School of Regulation, adapted by Ariel Filadoro for the analysis of the regional productive complexes. The focus of the study will be the forms of competition, the capital-capital relationships. For thid purpose, we will resort to a strategy of methodological triangulation, where the information provided by interviews to key informants will be complemented with documentary and statistical sources. Finally, in the conclusions, we will look closely the causes of the fragile insertion of the independent small vintners and we will outline some suggestions in pursuit of a sustainable, inclusive and internationally competitive vitiviniculture.Fil: García, Marcos Jesús. A New Multi-Objective Approach for Molecular Docking Based on RMSD and Binding Energy

Ligand-protein docking is an optimization problem based on predicting the position of a ligand with the lowest binding energy in the active site of the receptor. Molecular docking problems are traditionally tackled with single-objective, as well as with multi-objective approaches, to minimize the binding energy. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-objective formulation that considers: the Root Mean Square Deviation (RMSD) difference in the coordinates of ligands and the binding (intermolecular) energy, as two objectives to evaluate the quality of the ligand-protein interactions. To determine the kind of Pareto front approximations that can be obtained, we have selected a set of representative multi-objective algorithms such as NSGA-II, SMPSO, GDE3, and MOEA/D. Their performances have been assessed by applying two main quality indicators intended to measure convergence and diversity of the fronts. In addition, a comparison with LGA, a reference single-objective evolutionary algorithm for molecular docking (AutoDock) is carried out. In general, SMPSO shows the best overall results in terms of energy and RMSD (value lower than 2A for successful docking results). This new multi-objective approach shows an improvement over the ligand-protein docking predictions that could be promising in in silico docking studies to select new anticancer compounds for therapeutic targets that are multidrug resistant.Universidad de Málaga. Posibilidades para la implementación de un mercado de opciones sobre commodities en Colombia

En los últimos años los mercados de derivados han tenido un auge más allá de lo esperado, lo cual ha ampliado en gran medida las posibilidades de inversión. Ahora bien en este mercado de derivados se pretende diversificar el riesgo, con inversiones en ciertos bienes y/o servicios específicos, estos pueden ser de dos tipos: Activos Financieros y Commodities o bienes tangibles que para el propósito de la investigación los Commodities tienen mayor importancia. Por lo tanto, se entiende que los commodities son materias primas brutas que han sufrido procesos de transformación muy pequeños o insignificantes. Lo que se pretende en esta investigación es buscar la forma de incorporar este tipo de opciones dentro de un portafolio de inversiones en el mercado colombiano, discriminando las diferentes alternativas de inversión y analizando los diversos factores que intervienen al momento de tomar decisiones de invertir. Basados en métodos matemáticos y estadísticos se busca hallar una correcta valoración para las Opciones sobre Commodities, que posiblemente en un tiempo no lejano, serán negociados en un mercado estandarizado en Colombia, brindando con esto información real y oportuna a los inversionistas en la toma de decisiones. Se observa la dificultad en cuanto a información y valoración actual de los diferentes derivados en el mercado colombiano, con respecto a mercados más desarrollados en este tema como lo son el americano, el londinense, el brasilero y el argentino siendo estos dos últimos de mayor importancia por su similitud en las condiciones sociopolíticas y económicas. El proyecto explora modelos de valoración para opciones como son el Modelo de Black and Scholes y el Modelo de Árboles Binomiales, analizando su aplicación en el mercado de derivados colombiano.In the last years the markets of derivatives have had a summit better than expected, which has extended enough the possibilities of investment. Now well on this market of derivatives is pretended to diversify the risk with investments in certain goods and / or specific services, these can be of two types: Financial Assets and Commodities or tangible goods that for the purpose of the investigation the Commodities are more important. For this, we have to understand the commodities are simply brute (gross) raw materials (commodities) that have suffered very small or insignificant processes of transformation. What is wanted to find research is to look for the form to incorporate this type of options inside a investments portfolio on the Colombian Market, discriminating among the wide investment alternatives, and analyzing the factors must be had in consideration to the moment to take decisions of invest. Based in mathematical and statistical methods we look for find a correct valuation to the Options over Commodities, which possibly in at not long time, will be deal in a standardized market in Colombia, giving with this real and useful information to the investors when they take the decisions. It’s hard to find information and actual valuation of the different derivatives in the Colombian market, compared with more developed market like the American, the British, the Brazilian and the Argentinean been these two last of more importance because they are so similar in the social, political and economic facts. Una revisión de los sistemas generadores y modelos de probabilidad descriptivos de la distribución de la Renta

La importancia innegable de la modelización de la distribución de la renta es el origen del presente trabajo en el que se realiza un estudio, básicamente teórico, acerca de los sistemas generadores de renta y se lleva a cabo una recopilación de los modelos de probabilidad que se han utilizado, de forma más o menos generalizada a lo largo del último siglo, para explicar la renta. El estudio realizado es más exhaustivo en unos casos que en otros, poniendo de manifiesto el carácter pionero de la distribución de Pareto, y analizando en muchos de los casos las medidas más importantes de las distribuciones estudiadas, así como la relación de algún parámetro de las mismas con la desigualdad en el reparto.The undeniable relevance of the incomes distribution modeling is the origin of this work in which a basically theoretical study about the generating systems of incomes is realized and also has been carried out a collection of the probability models that had been used, in a more or less general approach along last century, in order to explain the income.
