The Effect of Environment-Friendly Attitude on Consumer Perception of Usability of Product Packaging

Today, consumers are more concerned about environmental changes and their purchasing behavior has changed in this regard. Concern for the environment in buying patterns of consumers who prefer products that support the environment with a growing trend are visible. The aim of the current study is to evaluate the impact of Environment-friendly attitude on consumer perception of reusability of product packaging. The present research is applied regarding the aim, and in terms method of data collection is a descriptive survey and correlation. Using Simple random sampling, a sample of 385 customers of big stores in Bushehr were selected and studied. Then the required information was gathered using a questionnaire. AMOS software was used to test the conceptual model and the research hypotheses. The results show that the consumer’s environment-friendly attitude has a positive and significant effect on his sensitivity to recyclability of product packaging. The findings also indicate that consumer sensitivity have positive and significant effect on consumer perception of reusability of product packaging. Finally, the results show that the proportionality of the form, color and the material of the packaging have positive and significant effect on consumer perception of reusability of product packaging. So the Companies should consider the form, color and the material of the packaging in their products

Selecting Statistical Characteristics of Brain Signals to Detect Epileptic Seizures using Discrete Wavelet Transform and Perceptron Neural Network

Electroencephalogram signals (EEG) have always been used in medical diagnosis. Evaluation of the statistical characteristics of EEG signals is actually the foundation of all brain signal processing methods. Since the correct prediction of disease status is of utmost importance, the goal is to use those models that have minimum error and maximum reliability. In anautomatic epileptic seizure detection system, we should be able to distinguish between EEG signals before, during and after seizure. Extracting useful characteristics from EEG data can greatly increase the classification accuracy. In this new approach, we first parse EEG signals to sub-bands in different categories with the help of discrete wavelet transform(DWT) and then we derive statistical characteristics such as maximum, minimum, average and standard deviation for each sub-band. A multilayer perceptron (MLP)neural network was used to assess the different scenarios of healthy and seizure among the collected signal sets. In order to assess the success and effectiveness of the proposed method, the confusion matrix was used and its accuracy was achieved98.33 percent. Due to the limitations and obstacles in analyzing EEG signals, the proposed method can greatly help professionals experimentally and visually in the classification and diagnosis of epileptic seizures

Analyzing Impacts of Interfacial Instabilities on the Sweeping Power of Newtonian Fluids to Immiscibly Displace Power-Law Materials

Injection of Newtonian fluids to displace pseudoplastic and dilatant fluids, governed by the power-law viscosity relationship, is common in many industrial processes. In these applications, changing the viscosity of the displaced fluid through velocity alteration can regulate interfacial instabilities, displacement efficiency, the thickness of the static wall layer, and the injected fluid’s tendency to move toward particular parts of the channel. The dynamic behavior of the fluid–fluid interface in the case of immiscibility is highly complicated and complex. In this study, a code was developed that utilizes a multi-component model of the lattice Boltzmann method to decrease the computational cost and accurately model these problems. Accordingly, a 2D inclined channel, filled with a stagnant incompressible Newtonian fluid in the initial section followed by a power-law material, was modeled for numerous scenarios. In conclusion, the results indicate that reducing the power-law index can regulate interfacial instabilities leading to dynamic deformation of static wall layers at the top and the bottom of the channel. However, it does not guarantee a reduction in the thickness of these layers, which is crucial to improve displacement efficiency. The impacts of the compatibility factor and power-law index variations on the filling pattern and finger structure were intensively evaluated.</p
