On a Generalization of Wyler’s Construction of Topological Projective Planes

The purpose of this paper is to generalize the construction of topological projective planes in the sense of Salzmann given by Wyler for the case of ordered projective planes. This generalization is also applicable to projective planes having a coordinatizing ternary field which is endowed with a uniform valuation in the sense of Kalhoff with an Abelian value group

In einer empirischen Studie wird versucht zu klären, welche mathematischen Kompetenzen Studierende für das Lehramt an Grund-, Haupt- oder Realschulen zu Studienbeginn aufweisen und durch welche erklärenden Variablen diese vorhergesagt werden können. Diese Studie ist Teil einer breit angelegten Untersuchung zu den fachwissenschaftlichen Kenntnissen von Lehramtsstudierenden im nicht vertieft studierten Unterrichtsfach Mathematik an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

On maximal immediate extensions of valued division algebras

We show an extension theorem for strictly contracting bilinear mappings into a spherically complete valued vector space and we apply this result to prove that every maximal valued division algebra having the same characteristic as its residue division algebra is spherically complete
