Serpentinska zajednica Euphorbietum spinosae-ligusticae u Liguriji

    Get PDF
Autori smatraju ovu zajednicu kasnotercijarnim reliktom

    Slot-Based Transmission Protocol for Real-Time NoCs - SBT-NoC

    Get PDF
Network on Chip (NoC) interconnects are some of the most challenging-to-analyse components of multiprocessor platforms. This is primarily due to the following two reasons: (i) NoCs contain numerous shared resources (e.g. routers, links), and (ii) the network traffic often concurrently traverses multiple of those resources. Consequently, complex contention scenarios among traffic flows might occur, some of the important implications being significant performance limitations, and difficulties when performing the real-time analysis. In this work, we propose a slot-based transmission protocol for NoCs (called SBT-NoC), and an accompanying analysis method for deriving worst-case traffic latencies. The cornerstone of SBT-NoC is a contention-less slot-based transmission, arbitrated via a protocol running on a dedicated network medium. The main advantage of SBT-NoC is that, while not requiring any sophisticated hardware support (e.g. virtual channels, a flit-level arbitration), it makes NoCs amenable to real-time analysis and guarantees bounded low latencies of high-priority time-critical flows, which is a sine qua non for the inclusion of NoCs, and multiprocessors in general, in the real-time domain. The experimental evaluation, including both synthetic workloads and a use-case of an autonomous driving vehicle application, reveals that SBT-NoC offers a plethora of configuration opportunities, which makes it applicable to a wide range of diverse traffic workloads

A Platform Business Model for Collaborative Additive Manufacturing

    Get PDF
Modern manufacturing is caught in a trade-off between maximizing efficiency and staying flexible in dynamic markets. Inter-organizational sharing of manufacturing capacities on a digital marketplace could contribute to gain flexibility, reduce cost and capital employed as well as provide further business opportunities. Although current research has already prepared the ground for its technical conceptualization, research on such a marketplace’s implementation in a business model is scarce. However, since an efficient matching of supply and demand requires a sufficient number of platform users, attracting corporate customers with a suitable business model is crucial. The present research aims to address this problem by developing and evaluating a business model for a marketplace provider, illustrated for the case of additive manufacturing

Verbundkörper aus Sinterwerkstoff und kompaktem Metall, hergestellt durch Aufpressen und Sintern

    Get PDF
Joints of sintered powder-metal and wrought metal were obtained in the following combinations: iron-powder upon steel, iron-copper upon steel, lead bronze upon steel, tungsten-copper upon copper, silver-graphite upon copper. The powder was pressed into the surface of the base metal and then both were sintered. The influence of the grain size, of the amount of pressure applied and of the sintering temperature were investigated. The strength of the joint was examined by tensile and shear tests. Values of the strength of the joints in the order of a few kg/mm^2 were observed. These values could be further enlarged by conclusive forging. This paper mainly describes the observations made in non-ferrous metals

    A Helium-Surface Interaction Potential of Bi2_2Te3_3(111) from Ultrahigh-Resolution Spin-Echo Measurements

We have determined an atom-surface interaction potential for the He-Bi2_2Te3_3(111) system by analysing ultrahigh resolution measurements of selective adsorption resonances. The experimental measurements were obtained using 3^3He spin-echo spectrometry. Following an initial free-particle model analysis, we use elastic close-coupling calculations to obtain a three-dimensional potential. The three-dimensional potential is then further refined based on the experimental data set, giving rise to an optimised potential which fully reproduces the experimental data. Based on this analysis, the He-Bi2_2Te3_3(111) interaction potential can be described by a corrugated Morse potential with a well depth D=(6.22±0.05) meVD=(6.22\pm0.05)~\mathrm{meV}, a stiffness κ=(0.92±0.01) A˚1\kappa =(0.92\pm0.01)~\mathrm{\AA}^{-1} and a surface electronic corrugation of (9.6±0.2)(9.6\pm0.2)% of the lattice constant. The improved uncertainties of the atom-surface interaction potential should also enable the use in inelastic close-coupled calculations in order to eventually study the temperature dependence and the line width of selective adsorption resonances
