Exact probabilities and asymptotics for the one-dimensional coalescing ideal gas
AbstractWe consider a modification of the well-known system of coalescing random walks in one dimension, both in discrete and continuous time. In our models each particle moves with unit speed, and it can change its direction of movement only at times of collisions with other particles. At these times (and at time 0) the direction is chosen randomly, with equal probability to the left or to the right, independently of anything else. In this article, we exhibit the exact distributions of particle density and of other relevant quantities at finite time t, and their asymptotics as t → ∞. In particular, it appears that the density of particles at time t is equal to the probability of the event that a simple random walk starting at site one first hits the origin after time t It is noteworthy that a relation of the same kind is known to hold for the standard system of coalescing random walks in one dimension, though the proof is quite different in that case

Peculiarities of gamma-quanta distribution at 20 TeV energy
The angular distribution of protons from the fragmentational region is analyzed. The gamma-quanta families are generated in a dense target by cosmic ray particles at 20 Tev energy. Families were found which had dense groups (spikes) of gamma-quanta where the rapidity/density is 3 times more than the average value determined for all registered families. The experimental data is compared with the results of artificial families simulation
Multiqubit Spin
It is proposed that the state space of a quantum object with a complicated
discrete spectrum can be used as a basis for multiqubit recording and
processing of information in a quantum computer. As an example, nuclear spin
3/2 is considered. The possibilities of writing and reading two quantum bits of
information, preparation of the initial state, implementation of the "rotation"
and "controlled negation" operations, which are sufficient for constructing any

Three-Qubit Gate Realization Using Single Quantum Particle
Using virtual spin formalism it is shown that a quantum particle with eight
energy levels can store three qubits. The formalism allows to realize a
universal set of quantum gates. Feasible formalism implementation is suggested
which uses nuclear spin-7/2 as a storage medium and radio frequency pulses as
the gates. One pulse realization of all universal gates has been found,
