On dynamical adjoint functor
We give an explicit formula relating the dynamical adjoint functor and
dynamical twist over nonalbelian base to the invariant pairing on parabolic
Verma modules. As an illustration, we give explicit - and
-invariant star product on projective spaces
A kapwa-infused paradigm in teaching Catholic theology/catechesis in a multireligious classroom in the Philippines
The increasing religious diversity in educational space has raised a legitimate question on how Catholic theology/ catechesis must be taught in Philippine Catholic universities given the institutional mandate to educate students “into the faith of the Church through teaching of Christian doctrine in an organic and systematic way” (Wuerl, 2013, 1). On this note, the paper makes reference to “centered plural- ism” (CP), a positional posture espoused by Georgetown University in dealing with this predicament. In an attempt to (re) appropriate CP into local context, there is a need to explore the Filipino conception of self/others as enveloped within the indigenous concept of kapwa. Hereon, the paper finds that CP is not just feasibly suitable in local context but with kapwa's more inclusive description of the relationship of self and others, a CP‐based teaching paradigm in theology/ catechesis is a promising project in the educational scene of the Philippines
Monitoring of patogen parasites in waste waters of agricultural industries
Las aguas residuales son potenciales
portadoras de enteroparásitos patógenos
para el hombre cuya dosis infectiva puede
ser mínima y prolongado el tiempo de
sobrevivencia de huevos y quistes en el
ambiente.
Respecto
a helmintos, es necesario un estudio
comparativo de las técnicas de detección
para efluentes agroindustriales, con el fin de
establecer las que optimicen su recuperación.
En cuanto a otras especies es preciso
continuar investigando su presencia para
evaluar la conveniencia de incorporarlas a
la reglamentación.Wastewaters are potential human's
pathogenic parasite carriers which could be
infective in small quantities. Besides, the
eggs and cysts survival time could be
prolonged. Regulation, restricts helminths
eggs presence and, until 2000, did not
propose a detection technique. This research
aims to the parasitological characterization
of waste water from agrarian industries.
Training about microscopical identification
led us to write a helminths eggs
characteristics description. Since the
detection of pollution points, essays were
made with samples from wine vault and olive
oil factories. Techniques were adapted,
according to wastewater peculiarities.
The results did not show helminths
presence, but we found Cyclospora and
Isospora. They are protozoa whose high
infective power makes them a human health
risk. However, they are not included in
current legislation. With respect to helminths,
we concluded that it is important to make a
detection techniques comparative study for
wastewater in order to establish which one
is the best for helminths recovery.
Since other species identification, it is
necessary to investigate their presence in
order to evaluate the convenience of
incorporating them to water regulation.Fil: Enriquez, Verónica L..

The radio emission pattern of air showers as measured with LOFAR - a tool for the reconstruction of the energy and the shower maximum
The pattern of the radio emission of air showers is finely sampled with the
Low-Frequency ARray (LOFAR). A set of 382 measured air showers is used to test
a fast, analytic parameterization of the distribution of pulse powers. Using
this parameterization we are able to reconstruct the shower axis and give
estimators for the energy of the air shower as well as the distance to the
shower maximum.Comment: 15 pages, 10 figures, accepted for publication in JCA
On the Quantum Inverse Problem for the Closed Toda Chain
We reconstruct the canonical operators of the quantum closed Toda
chain in terms of Sklyanin's separated variables.Comment: 16 page
Parametrization of semi-dynamical quantum reflection algebra
We construct sets of structure matrices for the semi-dynamical reflection
algebra, solving the Yang-Baxter type consistency equations extended by the
action of an automorphism of the auxiliary space. These solutions are
parametrized by dynamical conjugation matrices, Drinfel'd twist representations
and quantum non-dynamical -matrices. They yield factorized forms for the
monodromy matrices.Comment: LaTeX, 24 pages. Misprints corrected, comments added in Conclusion on

On the Bethe Ansatz for the Jaynes-Cummings-Gaudin model
We investigate the quantum Jaynes-Cummings model - a particular case of the
Gaudin model with one of the spins being infinite. Starting from the Bethe
equations we derive Baxter's equation and from it a closed set of equations for
the eigenvalues of the commuting Hamiltonians. A scalar product in the
separated variables representation is found for which the commuting
Hamiltonians are Hermitian. In the semi classical limit the Bethe roots
accumulate on very specific curves in the complex plane. We give the equation
of these curves. They build up a system of cuts modeling the spectral curve as
a two sheeted cover of the complex plane. Finally, we extend some of these
results to the XXX Heisenberg spin chain.Comment: 16 page
Realtime processing of LOFAR data for the detection of nano-second pulses from the Moon
The low flux of the ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) at the highest
energies provides a challenge to answer the long standing question about their
origin and nature. Even lower fluxes of neutrinos with energies above
eV are predicted in certain Grand-Unifying-Theories (GUTs) and e.g.\ models for
super-heavy dark matter (SHDM). The significant increase in detector volume
required to detect these particles can be achieved by searching for the
nano-second radio pulses that are emitted when a particle interacts in Earth's
moon with current and future radio telescopes.
In this contribution we present the design of an online analysis and trigger
pipeline for the detection of nano-second pulses with the LOFAR radio
telescope. The most important steps of the processing pipeline are digital
focusing of the antennas towards the Moon, correction of the signal for
ionospheric dispersion, and synthesis of the time-domain signal from the
polyphased-filtered signal in frequency domain. The implementation of the
pipeline on a GPU/CPU cluster will be discussed together with the computing
performance of the prototype.Comment: Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computing in High
