This paper presents a quantification of the studies published from 1941 to 2010 on the Ancient Numis- matics of the Iberian Peninsula. The data come from Bibliografía Numismática de Hispania Antigua database. The studies have been grouped into seventeen subject matters; we analyze the evolution of each one of them and their expectations for the future

Using an ontology of the human cardiovascular system to improve the classification of histological images

[EN] The advantages of automatically recognition of fundamental tissues using computer vision techniques are well known, but one of its main limitations is that sometimes it is not possible to classify correctly an image because the visual information is insufcient or the descriptors extracted are not discriminative enough. An Ontology could solve in part this problem, because it gathers and makes possible to use the specifc knowledge that allows detecting clear mistakes in the classifcation, occasionally simply by pointing out impossible confgurations in that domain. One of the main contributions of this work is that we used a Histological Ontology to correct, and therefore improve the classifcation of histological images. First, we described small regions of images, denoted as blocks, using Local Binary Pattern (LBP) based descriptors and we determined which tissue of the cardiovascular system was present using a cascade SupportVector Machine (SVM). Later, we built Resource Description Framework (RDF) triples for the occurrences of each discriminant class. Based on that, we used a Histological Ontology to correct, among others, “not possible” situations, improving in this way the global accuracy in the blocks frst and in tissues classifcation later. For the experimental validation, we used a set of 6000 blocks of 100 × 100 pixels, obtaining F-Scores between 0.769 and 0.886.Thus, there is an improvement between 0.003 and 0.769% when compared to the approach without the histological ontology. The methodology improves the automatic classifcation of histological images using a histological ontology.Another advantage of our proposal is that using the Ontology, we were capable of recognising the epithelial tissue, previously not detected by any of the computer vision methods used, including a CNN proposal called HistoResNet evaluated in the experiments. Finally, we also have created and made publicly available a dataset consisting of 6000 blocks of labelled histological tissues.SICOLCIENCIAS and Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado, AUIPGrant from the EI and from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 71365

Abstract. The aging process is a verifiable fact in the urban space of Zaragoza, but the degree of disorder of the phenomenon is different in either of its districts that comprise it. So in a analysis as proposed, each of its administrative or census units provides a model that is reflected in its demographic structure, and forms its urban space in different ways. The separate analysis of this is the subject of this work, in an exercise that aims to study the multiple areas where aging process is manifested, from the purely demographic way to its impact on household characteristics or different services and urban facilities. Definitively our study provides an analysis of the aging process in the population of the city of Zaragoza, the degree of involvement in the different districts and the relation of this process with the space in which it develops. Widespread in industrial societies but which has unique characteristics in terms of studio space

Video Camera Identification from Sensor Pattern Noise with a Constrained ConvNet

The identification of source cameras from videos, though it is a highly relevant forensic analysis topic, has been studied much less than its counterpart that uses images. In this work we propose a method to identify the source camera of a video based on camera specific noise patterns that we extract from video frames. For the extraction of noise pattern features, we propose an extended version of a constrained convolutional layer capable of processing color inputs. Our system is designed to classify individual video frames which are in turn combined by a majority vote to identify the source camera. We evaluated this approach on the benchmark VISION data set consisting of 1539 videos from 28 different cameras. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work that addresses the challenge of video camera identification on a device level. The experiments show that our approach is very promising, achieving up to 93.1% accuracy while being robust to the WhatsApp and YouTube compression techniques. This work is part of the EU-funded project 4NSEEK focused on forensics against child sexual abuse.Comment: Paper Accepted in - 10th International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods (ICPRAM 2021
