    Tujuan kajian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman yang dalam mengenai pendidikan karakter pada era indusrti 4.0. Karekter dalam era industri 4.0 dituangkan cara berpikir, cara bekerja, alat kerja dan kecakapan hidup. Cara berpikir mencakup kreativitas, berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, pengambilan keputusan dan belajar. Cara kerja mencakup komunikasi dan kolaborasi. Alat untuk bekerja mencakup teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT) dan literasi informasi. Kecakapan hidup mencakup kewarganegaraan, kehidupan dan karier, dan tanggung jawab pribadi dan sosial. Nilai karekter tersebut ditumbuhkan melalui General EducationNilai-nilai yang ada pada General Education yaitu Core Values yang digunakan untuk menumbuhkan karakter dan mengarahkan perilaku yang mencakup (a) hormat, (b) keselarasan, (c) kepedulian, (d) integritas, (e) tanggung jawab, dan (f) ketangguhan.     Slip of the Tongue in English-Language Debates: A Psycholinguistic Study

    Debaters need to plan, speak fluently, and think critically during a debate. However, a common error occurs during debates known as slips of the tongue. They are caused by nervousness, tension and unpreparedness. This research aimed to identify types of slips of the tongue and their units of error through a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected from the video recording of an English Debate Competition at a university. The data were analyzed using two theories by Gleason and Ratner Click or tap here to enter text.and by DardjowidjojoClick or tap here to enter text. to investigate units of error in slips of the tongue. The second theory was presented by Altiparmak and Koruoglu which described nine types of slips of the tongue: shifts, exchanges, anticipations, persistence, additions, deletions, substitutions, blends, and deviations. There were 78 data points found in slips of the tongue - 39 units of error and 39 types of error. The units of error found in slips of the tongue were 11 distinctive feature errors, 9 syllable errors, 6 phonetic segment errors and 14 word errors.     Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang proses afiksasi dan perubahan kelas kata yang terdapat pada karangan anak umur 11 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun 2014–2015.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada proses afiksasi dan perubahan kelas kata pada karangan anak umur 10–12 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Objek penelitian adalah karangan anak umur 10–12 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah peneliti sendiri dibantu dengan tabel analisis kerja, yaitu tabel analisis proses afiksasi dan perubahan kelas kata. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa proses morfologi dan perubahan kelas kata pada karangan anak umur 10–12 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat menandakan bahwa proses morfologi dan perubahan kelas kata terdapat dalam pembuatan karangan oleh anak umur 11 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Dengan demikian, proses morfologi dan perubahan kelas kata terdapat dalam karangan anak umur 10–12 tahun di Kuningan, Jawa Barat.     The Development of TPACK-Based Learning Media to Enhance the Skills of Written Communication

    The research aims to develop a model of existing essay writing teaching materials. In this research, the authors used a research and development (R&D) approach to analyze and demonstrate technology as a solution to a crucial problem in teaching essay writing. Data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and observations. To find out the feasibility of the model to be developed, several assessment steps were carried out, namely expert/expert testing, one-on-one trials, small group trials and testing the effectiveness of teaching material models. Based on the test results, the findings of this research indicate that a new teaching material model that can stimulate lecturers and students to learn essay writing is needed. To sum up, to make an effective and enjoyable instructional process, it is necessary to be concerned with instructional methods that are varied and liked by students

    Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan keterampilan penting bagi anak untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang ditemui di kesehariannya. Untuk itu kemampuan pemecahan masalah perlu distimulasi sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pendidik dalam menstimulasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada anak usai dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari empat orang pendidik di KB Ceria Kota Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif model Milles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran pendidik dalam menstimulasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dilihat sebagai pelaksana dan evaluator.     The Effect of Visualization Strategies on Writing Explanatory Texts Skill on VIIIth Grade Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta

    This study aims to see the effect of visualization strategies on writing explanatory text skill on VIIIth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a control group pre-post test design. T-test and Fisher's test were used as data analysis techniques in this study. The results of the t-test on the post-test score between the experimental and the control class indicated that the t-test score was 6.99> 2.06 t-table with dk 24. Significant level = 0.05. Because tcount> ttable means H1 is accepted. The results of this study indicated that the application of visualization strategies had an effect on the ability to write explanatory text for VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. The results of the general assessment showed that the organizational structure and reviews had the most dominant increase. From the results above, the visualization strategy can be used as a good strategy in learning to write explanatory text. Besides, as well as can be implied for explanatory text learning material with KD 3.10 “Examining explanatory text in the form of exposure to natural phenomena that are heard or read” and KD 4.10. “Presenting information and data in the form of an explanatory text of the process of an oral and written phenomenon by paying attention to the structure, language elements, or oral aspects”.   Keywords: visualization strategy, writing explanatory text skill     Abstrak   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi visualisasi terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian prates dan postes grup kontrol. Uji-t dan uji fisher digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil uji-t pada skor postes antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menujukan bahwa skor thitung 6,99> ttabel 2,06dengan dk 24. Taraf signifikan  = 0,05. Karena thitung > ttabel berarti H1 diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menerapkan strategi visualisasi berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa aspek struktur identifikasi umum dan ulasan mengalami kenaikan yang paling dominan. Dari hasil tersebut, strategi visualisasi dapat dijadikan strategi yang baik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi serta dapat juga diimplikasikan untuk materi pembelajaran teks eksplanasi dengan KD 3.10 “Menelaah teks eksplanasi berupa paparan kejadian suatu fenomena alam yang diperdengarkan atau dibaca” serta KD 4.10 “Menyajikan informasi dan data dalam bentuk teks eksplanasi proses terjadinya suatu fenomena secara lisan dan tulis dengan memerhatikan struktur, unsur kebahasaan, atau aspek lisan”.   Kata kunci: strategi visualisasi, kemampuan menulis teks eksplanas

    Developing an Early Literacy Syllabus of Rejang Language as a Local Content Subject at Elementary Schools

    This study conducted a research and development method with the aim of designing Rejang language learning as a mother tongue at elementary schools in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. The product designed was an early literacy syllabus for elementary school students at classes IV, V, and VI. The phenomenon underlying this study was the current reality that the presences of many local languages are abandoned in the midst of society. The most proximate indicator is that local languages, including Rejang language, are no longer used in familial communication. Such an empirical condition drove the researchers to design a learning product on the basis of early literacy in Rejang language teaching as an effort to preserve this local language. This study adopted Borg and Gall’s 10 developmental steps, and the data collection techniques deployed observations, interviews, and questionnaires representing the implementation of both qualitative and quantitative methods. The data were analyzed using means and percentages. The syllabus feasibility test involved three experts in the fields of syllabus and materials, literacy, and Rejang language. This study revealed that the syllabus feasibility test demonstrated the average score of 3.06 with a feasible criterion; the literacy feasibility test showed a very feasible criterion with the average of 3.48; and the feasibility test of Rejang language exhibited a very feasible criterion with the average of 3.75. The results of this study suggested that this syllabus was feasible to be used at elementary schools in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia
