    The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of land disputes and coordination of land dispute resolution in Muara Lakit District, Musi Rawas Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The Subjects research consisted of community leaders, village administrators, heads of sub-districts, companies (PT. Lonsum) and local governments (Head of Governance and Sub-Section for Cooperation and Regional Autonomy). Data collection techniques include; observation, interview, and documentation.The conclusions in this study include; 1) The local government has conducted mediation, by collecting data and inventorying community reports, making invitations to bring together the two disputing parties, providing opportunities for related parties to administer and documentation, and submitting reports to the Regent and forwarding them to the Governor, so as to resolve land disputes in Muara Rengas Village, Muara Lakit Subdistrict to agree peacefully with the company (PT London Sumatra Indonesia with the Village Head on behalf of the Muara Rengas Community) on March 3, 2017, 2) the land dispute resolution team has coordinated with the Village Head, Sub-District Head and Community Figures formulated recommendations on June 25, 2015 in resolving land disputes in Muara Lakit District, where PT London Sumatra built a plasma plantation for the community, in accordance with the availability of land that has not been planted with oil palm which is in the location permit of PT London Sumatra

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh gejala-gejala yang dialami siswa seperti sulit berkonsentrasi, sering menunda-nunda tugas. Fokus penelitian ini adalah program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk :(1) mendeskripsikan kondisi objektif kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever;(2) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever; (3) merumuskan rumusan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever dan (4) mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan reseach and development (R&D). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap, Pertama tahap pendahuluan; observasi angket; Kedua tahap merumuskan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever; ketiga tahap pelaksanaan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi objektif kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever yang kurang baik; antara lain; kurang minat membaca, menunda-nunda tugas, mengumpulkan tugas tidak tepat waktu, jarang berkonsentrasi selama waktu belajar. Sekolah telah melaksanakan program bimbingan belajar secara umum bagi siswa yang memerlukan bimbingan belajar, tetapi secara khusus belum menyusun program bimbingan belajar dalam rangka meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever. Program yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah program bimbingan belajar yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa underachiever. Program yang tersusun dapat membantu meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa underachiever kearah yang lebih baik. Kata kunci : Program Bimbingan belajar, Kebiasaan Belajar, Siswa Underachiever The background of this research is the symptoms which experienced by the students such as difficulty in concentrating and often delay the tasks given. This research focuses on the study counseling program to improve the underachiever students’ learning habit. The aims of this research are: (1) to describe the objective condition of the underachiever students’ learning habit, (2) to describe the application of the counseling program for underachievers, (3) design the counseling program to improve the learning habits of the underachiever and, (4) to describe the application of the counseling program to improve the underachiever students’ learning habit. The method used is qualitative research with the research and development approach. This research is implemented in three steps: first, introduction step, second, design the counseling program to improve the underachiever students’ learning habit, third the implementation of the counseling program. The finding of this research shows the objective conditions of the underachievers are less well; such as less interest in reading, delaying the tasks, lateness in collecting the works, and lack of concentration. School has been implementing the counseling program for students who need counseling but hasn’t designed the program for underachiever specifically. The program developed in this research is the counseling program which are adjusted towards the needs of the underachievers. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perencanaan, penggunaan dan alokasi dana serta pengawasan manajemen pembiayaan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian yang kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, pengamatan (observasi) dan mempelajari dokumen (studi dokumentasi). Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Bendahara, Guru dan Komite Sekolah. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan (1) perencanaan pembiayaan pendidikan diawali dengan musyawarah yang melibatkan seluruh personil sekolah dan dilanjutkan dengan pembentukan tim work yang merumuskan RKAS; (2) Penggunaan dan alokasi dana pembiayaan pendidikan sesuai dengan petunjuk teknis untuk setiap sumber dana. Penggunaan biaya pendidikan disalurkan untuk memenuhi delapan standar nasional pendidikan yang terbagi dalam beberapa komponen yaitu: kegiatan pembelajaran dan ekstrakurikuler siswa, ulangan dan ujian, penerimaan peserta didik baru, pembelian bahan habis pakai, pengembangan profesi guru, pengembangan perpustakaan, perawatan sekolah, pembelian komputer, layanan daya dan jasa, pembayaran honorarium guru dan tenaga kependidikan dan membantu siswa miskin; dan (3) Pengawasan pembiayaan dilakukan secara internal oleh kepala sekolah dan eksternal oleh Tim Manajemen BOS Kabupaten, BPKP dan Inspektorat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah adanya keterbukaan Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah dan Bendahara yang berdampak pada warga sekolah untuk mengerti dan mengetahui kegiatan manajemen pembiayaan di sekolah.     Elucidating ethylene-mediated physiology and biochemistry in selected climactic and non-climacteric fruits using e+® ethylene remover

    The presence of ethylene in a storage environment can undermine both quality and postharvest life of many fruits, often generating significant waste and associated economic losses. A demand for discovering alternative technologies capable of scavenging ethylene has led to the development of a new material, e+® Ethylene Remover, which has significant ethylene adsorption capacity. The material has been shown to remove ethylene to below physiologically active levels during fruit storage at 0-20 o C and consequently extend postharvest life for a variety of fresh produce types. Different formats incorporating e+® Ethylene Remover have been developed. Successful application of e+® Ethylene Remover in laboratory settings has created opportunities to test new formats of the product. To this end, work was conducted herein to attest whether e+® Ethylene Remover, which has been shown to maintain avocado (Persea americana cv. Hass) firmness in recent laboratory trials, could result in a meaningful extension of storage life in a commercial setting. It was shown that e+® Ethylene Remover coated sheets were a highly efficacious format for suppressing ethylene and extending storage life of imported avocado and pluot plums in a series of commercial trials. Moreover, the potency of the e+® Ethylene Remover treatment in retarding ethylene induced ripening was significantly enhanced when avocados were treated during the early stages of ripening. After a storage period of up to 31 days (5-6 o C), avocado fruits which had received an early treatment at source and then treated again in the laboratory were significantly more firm and greener compared to fruits treated following 5 weeks of transit alone . Strawberry is regarded as non-climacteric fruit; nevertheless, exogenous ethylene can negatively influence postharvest life. The low ethylene produced by non-climacteric fruits has been generally ignored and research reporting on the involvement of ethylene in these fruits is typically devoid in the literature. To this end, application of a highly sensitive laser based photoacoustic ethylene detector has revealed a possible role of ethylene in determining the postharvest life of strawberries. Moreover, fruit quality parameters including disease incidence, sugars, organic acids, phenolic compounds and plant phytohormones/metabolites were found to be profoundly affected by ethylene and likewise the removal of ethylene. Storage of strawberries in the presence of e+® Ethylene Remover was associated with lower disease incidence, significantly less red fruits and higher ascorbic acid content. In contrast, ethylene and 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatments resulted in the higher postharvest disease. Ethylene-treated fruits were associated with lower level of sucrose and higher simple sugars (fructose and glucose) suggesting a role of ethylene in promoting the rate of senescence and concomitant reduced postharvest quality of strawberries. Changes in ABA, ABA metabolites and auxins within different tissues of ripe strawberry during storage were investigated. ABA was more abundant in the flesh than in the achenes, while auxins were undetectable in the flesh tissue. Auxins indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and the conjugated form indole-3-acetylaspartic acid (IAAsp) were detected in high concentrations in the achenes and were affected by ethylene and storage length

    PENGARUH PEMBERIAN DARAH IKAN TONGKOL (EUTHYNNUS AFFINIS) DENGAN DOSIS YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP LAJU PERTUMBUHAN DAN KEPADATAN POPULASI INFUSORIA

    ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian darah ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kepadatan populasi infusoria. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2017 bertempat di Laboratorium Biologi Laut Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Syiah kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 kali pengulangan. Faktor yang diuji adalah pengaruh pemberian darah ikan tongkol dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kepadatan populasi infusoria. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini yaitu perlakuan A (Kontrol), perlakuan B 3 ml/L, perlakuan C 6 ml/L, perlakuan D 9 ml/L, perlakuan E 12 ml/L dan perlakuan F 15 ml/L. Hasil uji Analysis of varians (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa pemberian darah ikan tongkol dengan dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata P < 0,05 terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kepadatan populasi infusoria. Perlakuan terbaik dengan nilai tertinggi pada penelitian ini adalah perlakuan F dengan dosis 15 ml/L dengan rerata kepadatan populasi 221.500 ind/ml dan laju pertumbuhan 7,714 ind/ml/hari. Jenis infusoria yang ditemukan yaitu Paramecium sp, Euplotes sp, Euglena sp, Stentor sp, dan Oxytricha sp. Jenis infusoria yang paling mendominasi yaitu Paramecium sp.Kata Kunci :Dosis, Darah ikan, Infusoria, Kepadatan populasi dan Laju pertumbuhan

    A Study of Assimilative Capacities for Receiving Streams

    Literature reviews on various stream processes which contribute to reoxygenation and deoxygenation was presented. These processes include atmospheric reaeration, photosynthesis-respiration, biochemical oxygen consumption, and benthic demand. Measuring these parameters in a selected stream is a complex and costly operation. On the other hand, prediction models developed are specific to particular location and environmental conditions and can only be applied to similar situations. Computer models such as RIVER are available and could be used to predict dissolved oxygen concentrations along a waterway for a specified set of stream conditions. The model RIVER was calibrated by using the existing conditions of flow and water quality parameters along Phillippi Creek, Sarasota County, Florida. Also treatment requirements which could eliminate dissolved oxygen violations were predicted
