Vinculación conceptual entre el derecho y la moral. Tensiones entre una teoría de la razón práctica y una concepción autónoma del derecho en la propuesta iusfilosófica de John Finnis

The present work aims to analyze the problem of the conceptual link between law and morality in the philosophical thought of Oxford professor John Finnis. This analysis recognizes, as a starting point, the objection formulated some years ago by Robert Alexy in which he tries to show that Finnis would maintain criteria typical of positivism in order to solve possible tensions between both normative orders. Specifically, I intend to analyze the different writings that Professor Finnis dedicates to the problem of the conceptual link between law and morality, in order to elucidate his true position around the aforementioned question, and confront it with the rest of his elaboration theoretical in order to verify if it is consistent in a systemic key.El presente trabajo tiene por objeto analizar el problema de la vinculación conceptual entre el derecho y la moral en el pensamiento iusfilosófico del profesor de Oxford, John Finnis. Este análisis reconoce, como punto de partida, la objeción formulada hace algunos años por Robert Alexy en el que intenta demostrar que Finnis mantendría criterios propios del positivismo en orden a solucionar posibles tensiones entre ambos órdenes normativos. En concreto, pretendo analizar los distintos escritos que el profesor Finnis le dedica al problema de la vinculación conceptual entre el derecho y la moral, con el fin de dilucidar su verdadero posicionamiento en torno a la cuestión aludida, y confrontarlo con el resto de su elaboración teórica a fin de verificar si el mismo es consistente en clave sistémica

Urbanismo contemporâneo: aportes teóricos, metodológicos e novas figuras conceituais para a América Latina

O artigo parte de uma revisão teórico-conceitual dos elementos que compõem a interpretação contemporânea do urbanismo, de forma a introduzir a discussão seus aportes teóricos – forma urbana – e metodológicos – desenho urbano e projeto urbano. Tem como objetivo a elaboração de figuras conceituais que representem e expliquem a materialização das cidades latino-americanas, que, como apontou Waisman (2013), carecem de aportes teóricos próprios, recorrendo aos aportes do Hemisfério Norte, muitas vezes inadequados ao lidar com nossa peculiar realidade sociocultural e material, baseada na figura da Espontaneidade. Inicialmente, recorre-se às diferentes interpretações acerca da disciplina, através da revisão da Historia, Teoria e Critica. Posteriormente, apresentam-se figuras conceituais, propostas como elementos mediadores entre a teoria e a prática do urbanismo em sua origem – aqui europeia – e a realidade da materialização das cidades brasileiras.The paper revises the contemporary urbanism´s theory and concepts as means of introducing its theoretical and practical approaches – urban morphology and urban projects. The main goal is to construct new concepts which represent and explain the latin-american cities´s materialization, which as pointed by Waisman (2013), lack of theorization of their own, relying on Northern Theory, many times not appropriated to the peculiar urban conditions socio cultural and materiality faced by southern cities. First we discuss the different interpretation of the discipline by means of Historic, theoretical and critical revision. In the conclusion, some conceptual figures are proposed, as mediating elements between theory and practice of urbanism in its European origin and the reality of Latin American cities

[ES] Análisis de la línea de Tiendas Camper, marca española fundada en el 1975. La marca comprende una línea de tiendas de retail a nivel internacional con el aporte de reconocidos arquitectos, entre ellos Bennedetta Tagliabue, Jaime Hayon, Shigeru Ban, Diebédo Francis Kéré, Nendo, entre otros. Este trabajo consiste en un análisis en el que se contextualiza la relación del espacio interior, su iluminación y el visual merchandising. A continuación, se estudia el caso particular de la Marca Camper, y sus de tiendas retail, donde se focaliza el uso del sus espacios como comunicadores y expositores de la imagen, visión y mensaje que transmite la marca, mediante el trabajo de interiorismo de los arquitectos que forman el equipo de Camper Together.[EN] Analysis of the Camper line, a Spanish brand founded in 1975. Urban morphology in the South: spontaneous and induced form

The paper is an urban morphology comparative study between four southern cities: São Paulo, Jakarta, Hanoi and Belo Horizonte, aiming to disclose common spatial outcomes of similar development processes, guided by positionality. Urban morphology was the tool used to read the distinct territories and territorial scales, through direct observation enabled by a joint fieldwork between the three researchers involved in the study. Therefore, the current research proposes a direct comparison of these elements, using fragments of four cities of diverse socio – politic and cultural backgrounds, but with similar industrialization and urbanization processes, aiming to reveal similarities between each city and its development; and the consequences of their urbanization process in a local scale.Peer Reviewe

Extractive exploration of the mussel Perna perna (Mollusca: Bivalvia) in the state of Rio de Janeiro and its social, cultural, educational, governmental, environmental and public health issues: a literature review

The present review aimed to gather information about sociocultural, educational, governmental, environmental and public health issues about the handlers of the Perna perna mussel in the state of Rio de Janeiro and the need for training in Good Practices and Continuing Education. Articles published between 2006 and 2016 were identified. The search was carried out in several electronic databases. The “Critical Appraisal Skills Programme” (CASP) checklist evaluated the methodological quality. Fifteen articles met the inclusion criteria. The interpretation was made by the analysis of content, inferring that the mussel Perna perna marketed in the state does not fully meet the standards of safe food and the set of commercial and sanitary norms, which turns the activity into potential risk for consumers

Time trend prevalence of artificial nutrition counselling in a university hospital.

Abstract Objectives The negative effects of malnutrition on the prognosis of hospitalized patients are well documented; however, less known is the awareness and knowledge of health care professionals about this complication. The aim of this study was to evaluate the trend of the requests for nutritional consultation in years and the prescription of artificial nutrition (AN), for adult patients at a university hospital in southern Italy in the years 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 to assess the progress of medical teams concerning awareness of hospital malnutrition. Methods This was a retrospective study that evaluated the time trend of nutritional consultation requests and related prescription of AN, for adult patients at a university hospital in southern Italy in the years 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016. Of 112 233 inpatients, 2505 received a nutritional consultation with the prescription of AN. Results The number of patients on AN increased from 507 of 33 240 (1.52%) in 2004 to 730 of 29 195 (2.5%) in 2008 (P The request for AN was quite equally distributed between surgical (51.5%) and medical wards (48.5%), with a prevalence among patients with oncologic diseases (806 patients [65.6%]). As for nononcologic diseases, 20.4% involved the gastrointestinal tract and 6.3% the nervous system. Throughout the 12 y of observation, parenteral nutrition was the main prescribed support (59.8%) followed by oral nutritional supplements (26.1%) and enteral nutrition (9.3%). Mean nutritional intervention duration was 11 d (±10.8 d). Conclusions The request of AN for hospitalized patients increased over time, probably owing to improved medical consciousness of the potential risks for malnutrition and the availability of a specialized clinical nutrition team

Automated Detection Algorithm for SACZ, Oceanic SACZ, and Their Climatological Features

The South Atlantic Convergence Zone (SACZ) is responsible for a large amount of the total summer precipitation over Brazil and is related to severe droughts and extreme floods over the southeast of Brazil. This paper aims to demonstrate the feasibility of an objective, simplified and automated method based on satellite outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) for South Atlantic Convergence Zone (SACZ) and oceanic SACZ (SACZOCN) detection, and characterize their climatological features. Here we developed an automated algorithm and made available the SACZ and SACZOCN dates and characteristics (intensity and size) for the first time in the literature. The method agreed with 77% of SACZ occurrences compared with 21 years of SACZ observations. The temporal criterion of permanency of the SACZ convective activity for at least 4 days was essential to differentiate the SACZ from the transient frontal systems over the Brazilian Southeast. About 30% of the SACZ days occurred in November and March, therefore the December to February period is not sufficient to fully represent its activity. A barotropic trough near the Uruguay coast influences the intensity and position of the coastal and oceanic SACZ portions. When this trough closes into a cyclonic vortex Southwest of the SACZ (CVSS) cloud band it characterizes a SACZOCN episode. SACZOCN episodes were objectively identified, being characterized by a more intense convective activity and shifted to the north. We show that some oceanic SACZ episodes are associated with extreme floods and severe droughts over Brazil, therefore its identification is important to the Brazilian society. Besides, oceanic surface currents and temperature over the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean are modified during the SACZOCN active phase. The method presented here is a viable alternative to objectively classify SACZ and SACZOCN episodes, it can be implemented operationally and used to SACZ studies in the context of climate change
