The survey shows that more than half of the interviewed executives stipulate that either they heard or know about SR; this awareness towards the concept is an increasing function which depend on the size of company. As also Moroccan leaders are aware of the advantages in engaging social responsibility approach in their business; this finding suggests as well that social responsibility can be of direct economic value for the firm

The outcome of liver transplant recipients in HCV chronic carriers with Anti-HBc only concerning occult HBV infection is unknown. We report here the case of a patient who underwent liver transplantation (LT) for cirrhosis post chronic hepatitis C who received an allograft from a donor with no marker of hepatitis B infection. After LT, HBV DNA was detected in the serum in the absence of HBsAg while HCV RNA remained negative. To determine the origin of this occult HBV infection, we retrospectively examined stored serum and liver tissue, pre and post-transplantation, for HBV DNA by PCR. A stored liver biopsy of the donor before transplantation was also tested. HBV DNA was detected in the pre-transplant liver but not in the donor liver. HBV viral load quantified by real time PCR after LT ranged from about 102 to 5x103 HBV DNA copies/mg of liver, while in sera, concentrations ranged from 102 to 3x103 HBV DNA copies/ml. All PCR products in the S gene from liver and sera were sequenced. Analysis of sequences showed the presence of an HBV strain genotype D. The nucleotide homology between the patient’s HBV strains before and after LT was 96 % across the analyzed regions. Full length HBV genomes were amplified from the sera using Rolling Circle Amplification and then sequenced. Analysis of sequences confirmed the genotype D, but did not show obvious mutations that could contribute to HBsAg seronegativity and low HBV viral replication. Factors leading to occult HBV infection are still unclear, but it is well establish that occult HBV infection is frequent in HCV patients. This underlines the role of extra hepatic sites for HBV replication, potentially lymphocytes acting as “reservoirs”.

CSR corporate social responsibility and practices of communication managers: case study food companies of Souss Massa Draa Increased pressure from civil society and the community financial, generated by the strong growth of ecological and societal problems has pushed companies to adopt more transparent and responsible modes of governance. This governance has resulted in actions and so-called responsible and citizen speeches. Accordingly, communication on Corporate Social Responsibility takes on, in this context, a particular strategic and operational dimension. To study it, we propose in this article to study the concept of CSR and that of communication on social responsibility. CSR on the one hand and on the other hand we are going to study the primordial role played by the communication manager and the degree of his involvement in the implementation of socially responsible messages. Does it have the profile, the power and the means sufficient to act effectively in this direction? The study will allow us to identify the various societal and managerial issues of this communication on CSR

The purpose of this article is to explore diversity management specificities in arab countries, especially in Morocco (North Africa). We analyse organisational initiatives, managers’ perception and the way they mainstream diversity tools in their management. The Moroccan industry is based on two major sectors: agriculture food and textile. Those two activities represent more than 50% of the PIB, 70% of the national employment and 75% of exportations. We focus our study on those two sectors which are a pillar of the morrocan economy. Our sample consist of 30 questionnaire sent to companies that have more than 50 employees. We received 16 answers. We questioned CEOs, managers, middle managers and employees. The main contribution of the research is that moroccan leaders are aware of their responsibilities to implement and carry out diversity projects. The main topics mentioned concerns equality and gender. However, they have no skills or power to ensure that responsibilities fully. Diversity management is not included in the strategy. It remains a minor task operated mainly by the human resource department. Morrocan managers need more specific trainings and a global governmental policy to guide their actions. Employees are not well informed about their rights. Moreover, Morocco will open a free exchange zone in 2010. This is an opportunity for many international companies to invest in the country. Most of them are from Europe and USA. They are well informed about diversity management, especially gender issues. This represents a threat for Moroccan companies who feel the urgency to develop a national framework for diversity management. Our research is still under study. We are collecting more data and we aim to integrate some extra stakeholders in the sample. Mainly the government and the local communities. The fact that we interviewed only managers gives us a limited view of the diversity management status in Morocco
