Dalam kaitan ini penting untuk menyediakan buku-buku model great books dari karya-karya sastra klasik yang ditulis ulang dalam bentuk sastra belia sesuai tingkat perkembangan peserta didik.;--- School Literacy Movement (SLM) is implemented as an effort to overcome the low interest in reading of student, and become part of character education at school. A number of schools in West Java are implementing the GLS through the reading challenge of West Java Leader's Reading Challenge (WJLRC) with the regular activities of students are reading, writing book reviews, book presentations and discussions, and uploading book reviews to websites. This study aims to explore and review information about the implementation of School Literacy Movement through the challenge of reading WJLRC in Junior High School in West Java, in the context of strengthening character education. The study was conducted on eleven junior high schools spread across four regions of West Java Province. The study used a qualitative approach with phenomenology method involving teachers, students and parents of students as research subjects. To strengthen the research results, researchers also held Focus Group Discussion with expert in the field of literacy. The result of the research shows that the activity of students in following the GLS through reading challenge gives strengthening to character education, especially the value of honest character, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independent, democratic, friendly/communicative, like to read, and social care. But the true strengthening of student’s character is also influenced by the type of book read. It is therefore important to ensure that the book read inspires and positively impact to the studentt who read it. In this regard it is important to provide great books of model books of classical literary works which are rewritten in the form of young literature according to the level of development of students

&nbsp

ABSTRACTCurrently the majority of private companies in Indonesia is controlled by the family. However,Succession is the most difficult challenge in family business. A bit of a family company that isable to survive up to the fourth generation. Statistics show that the success of leadershipsuccession from first generation to second generation just only around 30%, while the rest (70%)experienced a failure, while the success rate of the second generation to third generation droppedsignificantly to only 7% only (Mangalandum, 2013 ). Thus, the problem of succession becomes anissue that must be reviewed in greater depth in relation to the existence of a family company. This paper analyses the formulation of succession in the family company of PT. XYZ, aconstruction company. From 2005 until 2016, the company management has been doing thesuccession program into the hands of the second generation. Formulation succession in in PT.XYZ is done by analyzing the succession process and the challenges faced by company usingsuccession planning roadmap developed by Clifford and succession planning in the context ofhuman capital planning by Booz Allen. Through an understanding going on in the elements of thesuccession process, the main issues that could potentially be an obstacle in the process ofsuccession can be known

Video streaming using whitespace spectrum for vehicular applications

We present Scout, a communication system leveraging TV whites-paces to support robust and high–speed streaming services. Scout uses two key techniques to improve video performance. First, it extends network coverage through an asymmetric network archi-tecture where whitespace transceivers are used for the downlink direction while a cellular path is used for the uplink. Scout further leverages some unique opportunities that arise in vehicular systems. In particular, it sends a front radio to lookahead and identify the best channel parameters when the rear radio eventually reaches the forward post. We demonstrate the performance of Scout by using a single base station to stream a high–quality video to a vehicle driving along a 1.3km road stretch

Energy-aware self stabilization in mobile ad hoc networks : A multicasting case study

Dynamic networks, e.g. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), call for adaptive protocols that can tolerate topological changes due to nodes ’ mobility and depletion of battery power. Also proactivity in these protocols is essential to ensure low latency. Self-stabilization techniques for distributed systems provide both adaptivity and proactivity to make it suitable for the MANETs. However, energyefficiency- a prime concern in MANETs with batterypowered nodes- is not guaranteed by self-stabilization. In this paper, we propose a node-based energy metric that minimizes the energy consumption of the multicast tree by taking into account the overhearing cost. We apply the metric to Self-Stabilizing Shortest Path Spanning Tree (SS-SPST) protocol to obtain energy-aware SS-SPST (SS-SPST-E). Using simulations, we study the energy-latency tradeoff by comparing SS-SPST-E with SS-SPST and other MANET multicast protocols, such as ODMRP and MAODV.

The construction of the Simpang Pramuka road project is carried out in several stages of work, one of which is making a work schedule. This work schedule is created to find out which part to do first or after the previous work, scheduling is intended to make it easier for each activity to be done in order and on time. The scheduling method used in the Simpang Pramuka Road Improvement Project - The Current Siak Regency Boundary is to use barchart scheduling but the block method is considered to have weaknesses in projects with complex work so that appropriate scheduling is required for complex work to get results according to plan. The purpose of this research is to get an appropriate schedule and finish on time by rescheduling using Microsoft Project software with the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM). First, the initial schedule evaluation is carried out and and continued with the preparation of a new schedule using Microsoft Project software and utilizing the PDM method calculation. The results of this study obtained the duration of rescheduling for 8,080 hours or 203 working days from a planned schedule of 10,144 hours or 210 working days
