Light Curve Models of Supernovae and X-ray spectra of Supernova Remnants

We compare parameters of well-observed type II SN1999em derived by M.Hamuy and D.Nadyozhin based on Litvinova-Nadyozhin (1985) analytic fits with those found from the simulations with our radiative hydro code Stella. The difference of SN parameters is quite large for the long distance scale. The same code applied to models of SN1993J allows us to estimate systematic errors of extracting foreground extinction toward SN1993J suggested by Clocchiatti et al. (1995). A new implicit two-temperature hydro code code Supremna is introduced which self-consistently takes into account the kinetics of ionization, electron thermal conduction, and radiative losses for predicting X-ray spectra of young supernova remnants such as Tycho and Kepler.Comment: 7 pages, 10 figures, Supernovae as Cosmological Lighthouses, Padua, June 16- 19, 2004, eds. Οι αιολικές διεργασίες στην παράκτια περιοχή κοντά στον ταμιευτήρα του Bratsk έχουν ως αποτέλεσμα γεωμορφολογικές μεταβολές και ενεργοποιούν διαβρωσιγενείς διαδικασίες. Το επίπεδο της στάθμης του ύδατος, και οι ανεμολογικές συνθήκες αποτελούν δυναμικούς παράγοντες των αιολικών διεργασιών, οι οποίες εμφανίζουν κυκλικό μοντέλο πρωτίστως συσχετιζόμενο με τη χρονική διάρκεια της χαμηλής στάθμης. Οι αιολικές διεργασίες διαφέρουν στο ρυθμό ιζηματογένεσης, στη στάθμη του ύδατος και στη μορφολογία των αιολικών ανάγλυφων μορφών και μελετήθηκαν σε τομές αποθέσεων θινών. Η διερεύνηση της δυναμικής των αιολικών διεργασιών είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την κατασκευή του τοπογραφικού μοντέλου σύμφωνα με το διάγραμμα Rassvet, το οποίο καθιστά δυνατή την ανάλυση τους και λαμβάνει υπόψη τάσεις και μηχανισμούς ανάπτυξης τους.The process of eolation in the near-shore area of the Bratsk water reservoir results in the landscape changes and may lead to abrasion process activation. The eolation dynamics factors are water level and wind conditions. The eolation shows a cyclical pattern that is primarily related to the duration of low stand of level. The eolation processes that differ in sedimentation rate, water level and morphology of eolian relief forms ranging from mere sand blowing to travelling dunes have been phased in studies of the sections of dune sand deposits. The topography model of index plot Rassvet that makes it possible to scale the process of eolation and to know some regular trends and mechanisms of its development has been constructed as result of eolation dynamics research

Literature about animals is an integral part of literary process in Great Britain and North America. Authors analyze different genre formsin search of common and different in diachronic approach. Authors create a certain timeline of development of literature about animals.The starting point is the golden age of British fairy tale, during this period numerous fairy tales about animals appeared. Then authors turn to the creativity of Jack London and Ernest Thompson Seton with their impressive animal images. The next stage of development of literature about animals is connected with the rise of non-fiction genres in the second half of the XXth century. Analyzing different genre forms authors of the research come to the conclusion that animals often become the center of narration and are characterized in the same way as human personalities. Through the animal images the authors show different conflicts, common for the literature of the XIXth-XXth century. Animal characters serve to attract reader's attention to different social and environmental problems

Production of Welding Fluxes Using Waste Slag Formed in Silicomanganese Smelting

The possibility in principle of using slag, which is formed in the silicon-manganese smelting process, in producing welding fluxes is shown. The composition of and technology used for a new fused flux has been designed. A comparative evaluation of the new flux and the widely used AN-348 type flux was done.
