    On Geometro-thermodynamics of Dilaton Black Holes

    The main objective of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the drill method of learning mathematics in elementary school .This method used in this research is descriptive method, forms of action research and research settings in class V State Elementary School 15 Sungai Lipan,fifth grade teacher research subjects Public Elementary School 15 Sungai Lipan and fifth grade students of State Elementary School 15 Sungai Lipan amounted to 8 people, the data collection techniques used are direct observation and data collection tool that observasi.Tehnical sheet data analysis used is to calculate the average research implemented as much as 2 cycles, the results obtained in implementing the learning ability of teachers of mathematics through drill method, from the first cycle to the second cycle in sequence, namely 3.51 and 3.82.     The Ruppeiner metric as determined by the Hessian of the Gibbs surface provides a geometric description of thermodynamic systems in equilibrium. An interesting example is a black hole in equilibrium with its own Hawking radiation.     The 21st century education aims to develop the ability of intelligence of students in order to resolve the problems faced in real life. Project-Based Learning is one instructional strategies to develop the skills required in the 21st century. Through a given project, students are not only required to achieve the learning objectives that have been set, but students will be trained to face the world of work that requires their ability to access, mesintesis, communicating information, and work together to solve complex problems so as to improve the ability of students critical thinking. This research is a quasi-experimental research (quasy experiment) with posttest only control group design. This research aims to determine the influence of Project Based Learning Strategy (PjBL) to the critical thinking skills of students of class XI IPA at SMAN 1 Malua on colloidal material. The research population includes students of class XI IPA at SMAN 1 Malua, with random cluster sampling technique sampling. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test in SPSS 20 for windows at the 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that the significance level of critical thinking skills of 0.001 which indicates that there are differences between students' critical thinking skills that learned using a strategy of Project Based Learning (PjBL) with students that learned using conventional methods.Pendidikan abad 21 bertujuan untuk membangun kemampuan intelegensi siswa dalam pembelajaran agar mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi. salah satu strategi pembelaj aran di abad 21 yang mengembangkan keterampilan siswa ialah Project Based Learning. Melalui proyek yang diberikan, siswa tidak hanya dituntut untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan, tetapi siswa akan lebih terlatih menghadapi dunia kerja yang membutuhkan kemampuan mereka dalam mengakses, mesintesis, mengomunikasikan infomasi, dan bekerja sama memecahkan masalah yang kompleks sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan rancangan penelitian posttest only control group design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 1 Malua pada materi koloid. Populasi penelitian meliputi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Malua, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t-test pada program SPSS 20 for windows pada taraf signifikasi 0,05. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa taraf signifikasi kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 0,001 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan strategi Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode konvensional

    Development of the Guernsey Community Participation and Leisure Assessment – Revised (GCPLA-R).

    A sufficiently psychometrically robust measure of community and leisure participation of adults with intellectual disabilities was not in existence, despite research identifying this as an important outcome and a key contributor to quality of life. The current study aimed to update the Guernsey Community Participation and Leisure Assessment (GCPLA). Adults with intellectual disabilities, carers and experts were consulted in creating a revised pool of 46 items. These were then tested and data from 326 adults with intellectual disabilities were analysed for their component structure and psychometric properties. Principal Component analysis discovered a stable set of components describing seven different clusters. This revised measure (the GCPLA-R) was demonstrated to have satisfactory reliability, and scores were related to challenging behaviour and adaptive behaviour in theoretically consistent ways and were correlated with scores on comparable measures

    Identification, Genotyping and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing of Brucella spp. Isolated from Livestock in Egypt

    Brucellosis is a highly contagious zoonosis worldwide with economic and public health impacts. The aim of the present study was to identify Brucella (B.) spp. isolated from animal populations located in different districts of Egypt and to determine their antimicrobial resistance. In total, 34-suspected Brucella isolates were recovered from lymph nodes, milk, and fetal abomasal contents of infected cattle, buffaloes, sheep, and goats from nine districts in Egypt. The isolates were identified by microbiological methods and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). Differentiation and genotyping were confirmed using multiplex PCR for B. abortus, Brucella melitensis, Brucella ovis, and Brucella suis (AMOS) and Bruce-ladder PCR. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing against clinically used antimicrobial agents (chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, gentamicin, imipenem, rifampicin, streptomycin, and tetracycline) was performed using E-Test. The antimicrobial resistance-associated genes and mutations in Brucella isolates were confirmed using molecular tools. In total, 29 Brucella isolates (eight B. abortus biovar 1 and 21 B. melitensis biovar 3) were identified and typed. The resistance of B. melitensis to ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, imipenem, rifampicin, and streptomycin were 76.2%, 19.0%, 76.2%, 66.7%, and 4.8%, respectively. Whereas, 25.0%, 87.5%, 25.0%, and 37.5% of B. abortus were resistant to ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, imipenem, and rifampicin, respectively. Mutations in the rpoB gene associated with rifampicin resistance were identified in all phenotypically resistant isolates. Mutations in gyrA and gyrB genes associated with ciprofloxacin resistance were identified in four phenotypically resistant isolates of B. melitensis. This is the first study highlighting the antimicrobial resistance in Brucella isolated from different animal species in Egypt. Mutations detected in genes associated with antimicrobial resistance unravel the molecular mechanisms of resistance in Brucella isolates from Egypt. The mutations in the rpoB gene in phenotypically resistant B. abortus isolates in this study were reported for the first time in Egypt
