    Get PDF
A technique for data acquisition from digital holograms of particle ensembles, including preprocessing of the digital hologram, construction of a two-dimensional display of the holographic image of investigated volume, and segmentation and measurement of particle characteristics is considered. The proposed technique is realized in automatic regime and can work in real time. Results of the technique approbation using digital holograms of sand, plankton particles in water, and air bubbles in oil are presented

A hardware-software complex for non-contact investigation of marine particles is presented. The complex is based on digital holography principles and can be immersed in water, for example, to study plankton in a habitat. Special features of a submersible holocamera (or DHC sensor) are considered. Results of approbation of the complex during the Mission in the Kara Sea are presented. A new DHC sensor design is discusse

We consider the nature of the brain bioelectric activity changes in the dynamics of heart rate variability parameters biofeedback sessions in teenagers. There was revealed increase in predominance of the brain functional activity and increase in the stability of the subcortical brain structures. The biggest bioelectric reorganizations are revealed in the right brain hemisphere, often involving the frontal brain lobes. These changes were more pronounced in adolescents with successful completion of training.Рассматриваются изменения биоэлектрической активности мозга в динамике сеансов биоуправления параметрами вариабельности сердечного ритма у подростков. Выявлено усиление доминирования альфа-активности в структуре электроэнцефалограммы и повышение устойчивости подкорковых структур мозга. Наибольшие перестройки характерны для правого полушария, часто с вовлечением лобных отделов мозга. Данные изменения более выражены у подростков с успешным выполнением тренинга

Digital holographic camera for plankton monitoring

    Get PDF
A submersible digital holographic camera for measuring plankton and other particles is described. The camera provides underwater recording of digital holograms of water volume containing plankton followed by automatic restoration of holographic images of plankton species, determination of their sizes, shapes, and concentrations, and their recognition and classification. Particles with sizes of 200 μm and larger are analyzed. The water volume registered per exposure is about 1 L. The special features of the software for automatic information retrieval from digital holograms are discussed. Examples of application of the camera as an integral part of the hardware-software complex for field measurements are given. Prospects for application of this complex for ecological monitoring are discussed. The recognition criterion of the digital holographic camera and the data volume and the averaging time required for obtaining statistically reliable data on plankton species are also given

On possibilities of diagnostics and formation of picosecond electron bunches in the linear accelerator by means of an optical deflector

The possibilities for measuring the phase charge distribution in picosecond bunches of the electron linac without application of an electron-optical chamber are discussed. It is proposed to use the measurement scheme based on the spatial scanning of the transition radiation light pulse equivalent to the electron bunch by means of a traveling-wave optical deflector. The estimations of the sensitivity and resolution of the method are given. The picosecond optical pulse trains can also be obtained by using the microwave scanning of a laser ray across the adjustable diaphragm. After amplification, the pulses can be used in microwave photo-emission guns.
