ANALISIS HUBUNGAN KOMPETENSI SISWA SMA PADA KONSEP PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGANDENGAN MEMANFAATKAN MANGROVE CAGAR ALAM PULAU DUA MELALUI KEGIATAN FIELD TRIP

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan proses sains, penguasaan konsep, serta sikap ilmiah siswa dan meneliti mangrove Cagar Alam Pulau Dua sebagai sumber belajar bagi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Matching Only Posttest Only Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri A Kota Serang-Banten. Data diperoleh dari instrumen keterampilan proses sains, penguasaan konsep, angket sikap ilmiah, dan angket tanggapan siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: hasil keterampilan proses sains,penguasaan konsep, dan sikap ilmiah siswa yang memanfaatkan mangrove Cagar Alam Pulau Dua lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol; terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada kelas kontrol (r=0,520, berkorelasi sedang) dan pada kelas eksperimen (r=0,838, berkorelasi tinggi); terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada kelas kontrol (r=0,427, berkorelasi sedang) dan pada kelas eksperimen (r=0,550, berkorelasi sedang); terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antar indikator keterampilan proses sains dengan penguasaan konsep siswa. This study aimed to determine the relationship between science process skills, mastery of concepts, as well as scientific attitude of the students and review the mangrove Pulau Dua Nature Reserve as a source of learning for students. This research uses quasi-experiment method with The Matching Only Posttest Only Control Group Design. This research also applies experimental classes and control classes in class X SMA A Serang, Banten as research subjects. Data obtained from science process instrument skill, mastery of concepts, scientific attitude questionnaire, and questionnaire responses of the students and teachers. The results showed that; the results of science process skills, mastery of concepts, and scientific attitude of students who utilize mangrove Pulau Dua Nature Reserve is better than control class; there is a positive and significant relationship between science process skills and scientific attitude of students in the control class (r =0.520, moderate correlation) and in experimental class (r =0.838, high correlation); there is a positive and significant relationship between mastery of concepts and science process skills of the students in the control class (r =0.427, moderate correlation) and in experimental class (r =0.550, moderate correlation); there is a positive and significant relationship between indicators of science process skills with concepts mastery of the students. BEHAVIORISM, INNATISM, AND INTERACTIONISM IN ENGLISH TEACHING AND LEARNING

Abstract:In Indonesia, English has been introduced into school curriculum since junior secondary schools at the first grade though some elementary schools have English as their local content since the fourth grade. Indonesian government has been engaged in activities for many years with the aim of improving the English competency of school graduates in the country. However, the reality has been too far from the expectation. The English skills’ output of the students is still categorized into a low proficiency level. As stated in Education First, English Proficiency Index (EPI) in Indonesia in 2018 is ranked 51 out of 88 countries in the world. Therefore, there needs to be an explanation of what makes Indonesian students’ English proficiency low and how to teach or learn English by considering language acquisition theories, namely behaviorism, innatism, and interactionism. Tracing Islamic Educational Values in Qur'anic Revelation and Compilation: A Historical Study

Purpose – The purpose of this research is to explore the historical development of Islamic education values within the context of the Qur'anic revelation and its compilation. The study also aims to examine the significance of the Qur'an in shaping Islamic educational values and to trace the evolution of these values over time. Design/methodology/approach – The historical research method was employed in this study to investigate the development of Islamic education values within the context of the Qur'anic revelation and compilation. Data collection involved various sources, including written materials such as Qur'anic manuscripts, history books, and literature on Islamic education, as well as oral sources such as interviews with experts on history and Islamic education. Findings – The research findings suggest that the Qur'an has been the primary source of Islamic educational values and has had a significant impact on the development of Islamic education. The Qur'an has influenced the fundamental principles and values of Islamic education, including the pursuit of knowledge, moral values, and social justice. The study also shows that the evolution of Islamic education values has been influenced by historical events and changes in Islamic societies, but the basic principles have remained consistent over time. Research implications/limitations – The limitations of the research are that it does not examine the long-term effects of internalizing Islamic moderation values on children's overall development and well-being and does not provide insights into the potential consequences or benefits of this process. Future research may need to investigate the long-term impact of these values to provide a more comprehensive understanding of their significance for the development of Muslim communities. Practical implications – This research provides insights into the potential ways of integrating Islamic education values into modern educational settings and contributes to the development of more inclusive and culturally sensitive educational practices

Sheikh Mahfudz at-Tarmasi’s Thought on Islamic Education

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. The role of scholars in developing and maintaining Islamic values ​​is vital. Among the scholars who play an essential role in the process is Shaykh Mahfudz at Tarmasi. This article aims to explore the traditions and intellectual networks of Shaykh Mahfudz, one of the archipelago scholars of the late nineteenth century who had a profound influence on the development of Islamic intellectual traditions in the archipelago. Despite spending his age in Mecca, he succeeded in educating Javanese clerics who were members of the Jawi community to become leaders of large pesantren in the archipelago. This research concludes that Shaykh Mahfudz is a productive ulama. MOTIVATION OF EFL STUDENTS AT TERTIARY LEVEL

Abstract: This paper discusses about motivation of EFL students at tertiary level. This study used a survey method. The participants of this study were 323 students in a private university in Palembang. A questionnaire assessing motivation was used in this study. A 51-item questionnaire used in this study was an adapted version of Schmidt, Boraie, and Kassabgy’s instrument used in their study. Some of these items were added based on the theory of socio-education (Gardner, 1985, 1988, 2000, 2001; Gardner and MacIntyre, 1991, 1993). The result of this study showed that the main motivational components that underlie the students to learn English are instrumental orientation, intrinsic orientation, and integrative orientation. USING MIND MAPPING IN TEACHING THE PLOT OF A NOVEL

Abstract: This paper discusses about using Mind Mapping in teaching the plot of a novel. This study used a one-group quasi experimental with equivalent time-samples design and was conducted on a group of Form 5 students in one of the schools in Johor Bahru district. The instruments utilized in the inquiry were tests. The results showed that Mind Mapping method did improve the students’ understanding by having them focus not only on the main ideas but also on the elaborations and examples that are stated in the novel. Sistem Informsi Penjulan dan Piutang Berbasis Client Server di PT Cahaya Agung Cemerlang Semarang

PT. Cahaya Agung Cemerlang merupakan Perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang distribusi ice cream walls, dengan area demarkasi yang mencakup kota Semarang, Ambarawa, Kendal, Demak dan grobogan membuat omzet Perusahaan besar. Omzet yang besar ternyata membuat piutang Perusahaan juga membengkak. Mengelola dan memanajemen piutang dapat dilakukan dengan menyusun laporan piutang, menyusun taksiran profitabilitas Perusahaan, serta memberi batasan-batasan terhadap otlet – otlet yang kredit. Sayangnya sistem yang sedang berjalan di Perusahaan belum terintegrasi kedalam satu database. Database penjualan, pembayaran dan piutang terpisah, hal inilah yang mengakibatkan peneglolaan penjualan dan piutang belum terkoordinir secara maksimal. Belum lagi jika ada divisi yang off, antrian pekerjaanpun tak dapat terelakkan dikarenakan bidang pekerjaan yang terpisah databasenya mengakibatkan antara satu pegawai dengan yang lain tidak saling mengetahui pekerjaan masing-masing. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas maka dibuatlah aplikasi sistem informasi penjualan dan piutang dapat menjadi jalan keluar karena dpat dipeegunakan oleh semua divisi, baik tagihan maupun pembayaran serta bersifat user friendly yang mudah untuk digunakan. Aplikasi ini berbasis client server, sehingga masing-masing divisi mempunyai hak akses tersendiri sebagai pembeda jabatan dan kebutuhan terhadap informasi finansial Perusahaan. Analisis Komparatif Resiko Keuangan Antara PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia dan PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri

Lembaga keuangan atau yang biasa disebut bank merupakan salah satu diantara lembaga-lembaga keuangan tersebut yang nampaknya paling besar peranannya dalam perekonomian. Salah satu unsur yang sangat diperhatikan oleh bank ialah kinerja bank tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat resiko keuangan antara PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia dan PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri selama periode 2007-2010. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaaan yang diperoleh dari website masing-masing bank. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis diskriminan (Z-Score) yang dikembangkan oleh Altman. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa tingkat resiko keuangan Bank Rakyat Indonesia berada pada kategori tingkat resiko tinggi karena mempunyai nilai Z-Score dibawah 1,81 (1,692<1,81) sedangkan Bank Syariah Mandiri juga masuk kedalam tingkat resiko yang tinggi karena nilai Z-Score-nya berada dibawah 1,81 (1,577<1,81). Perbandingan tingat resiko keuangan menggunakan hasil analisis diskriminan (Z-Score) menunjukkan kedua bank berada pada posisi beresiko tinggi. Nilai Z-Score Bank Rakyat Indonesia lebih tinggi dibanding Bank Syariah Mandiri, rendah menunjukkan bahwa bank tersebut berada pada posisi keuangan beresiko tinggi dan bila tidak dilakukan pengelolaan keuangan yang baik dapat menyebabkan kepailitan dalam jangka panjang atau kebangkrutan pada bank tersebut
