Methylene blue is a dye that is widely used in medicine. The underlyin reason this widespread use is that it is easily accessible, inexpensive and safe. Although rarely seen, some complications may develop during use of methylene blue. It is important that clinicians should be aware of these unwanted conditions, recognize these complications at an earlier stage, and take suitable measures

In this study, we have observed the relationship between body composition and maximal oxygen consumption, which is the sign of stability. 92 boys and 52 girls who come into physical education and sport lesson for two hours in a week came into this study. Between of the gender, in the datas, which are body fat percent, body fat thickness, endomorphy and mezomorphy differentiation observed (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). While we have obtain the relationship in positive side which are between maximal oxygen consumption accounts and age, length and fatless body thickness; between body fat percent and endomorphy accounts in negative side obtained. Maximal oxygen consumption accounts of girls and body thickness, BMI, body fat percent, fatless body thickness, body fat thickness, between endomorphy and mezomorphy accounts in negative side; between ectomorphy accounts in positive side relationship has been found.

Daha önce literatürde yer almayan alternatif öğrenci kavramları da çalışmada sunulmuştur.INTRODUCTION Studies show that people from elementary school students to adults hold alternative conceptions or have limited understanding of astronomical events. Trundle and Troland (1996) reported that moon's phases were the least understood among the astronomy concepts even though they can be seen from the earth. Lindell (2001) and Barnett (2002) indicated that students usually come to school with some existing knowledge, but most of this existing knowledge is wrong or incomplete. Teaching new information to students is easier than changing their existing knowledge. Therefore, students' existing ideas should be investigated carefully at all grade levels, and the best teaching methods should be determined. Different strategies have been used to teach the causes of the moon phases. The new science curriculum suggests that collaborative learning should be promoted in science classes (MEB, 2011). Therefore, collaborative learning strategy to teach the causes of the moon phases needs to be investigated carefully. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY The purpose of the study is to determine the alternative conceptions that the 8th grade students possibly have and to compare traditional instruction and collaborative learning method in teaching the causes of moon phases. Specifically, following research questions were investigated. 1. What are the alternative conceptions that students hold about the causes of moon phases? 2. How does 8th grade students' conceptual understanding of moon phases change with different teaching methods

Objective: Local allergic reactions are frequently seen after a bee sting. Serious clinical findings can be rarely observed insensitive individuals. We present a 14 year old boy who developed basilar artery thrombosis after bee sting. Methods: The patient's clinical complaints, examination findings, laboratory and imaging results, follow-up and treatment resultswere evaluated. Results: Six hour later after bee sting, symptoms started with blurred vision, headache, dizziness, and vomiting. Neurologicexamination revealed gait and speech abnormalities, left central facial paralysis, oculomotor and abducens cranial nerve palsiesand confusion. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed ischemic areas with limited diffusion in the cerebellar hemispheres andin the upper part of the vermis, in the anterior part of the right half of the mesencephalon. Brain computer tomographyangiography showed thrombosis in basiler and bilateral superior cerebellar arteries. Exclusive examinations for thrombosis did notreveal a pathologic finding. The patient was treated with low molecular weight heparin and acetylsalicylic acid. The patient wasdischarged with mild sequelae of left eye ptosis. Conclusions: Although allergic reactions related to bee stings are frequently reported in childhood, rare presentations such asvenous sinus thrombosis and stroke should be considered in case of unexpected neurological signs and symptoms. The exactmechanism of thrombosis in cases occury after bee sting is unknown. Keywords:child, bee sting, thrombosis, stroke</p
