This paper aims to research the main characteristics and trends of the freelancer’s market in temporary and occasional jobs in the Digital economy. The research was conducted by analyzing the content of reports of companies that hire freelancers, consulting companies and blogs of experts. The Digital economy is one of the results of the widespread application of information and communication technologies (ICT) that have influenced the transformation of the business model. Widespread application of ICT increased the flexibility of the work environment from the perspective of the place and time of work, as well as the way of engagement of the workforce. The application of ICT has expanded the scope and range of services available in today's market of temporary and occasional jobs. Contemporary companies in the Digital economy are increasingly focusing on their core competencies, leaving other jobs to external associates. The Gig economy refers to the engagement of labour in temporary and occasional jobs. Of the total number of employees in the USA during 2020, 36% worked as freelancers. Freelancers, during 2020, generated total revenue of US$ 1.2 trillion. Also, it is important to point out that a certain percentage of freelancers, currently, realize additional jobs in this way, but that there is a noticeable increase in the number of freelancers who accept this model of employment as the only way of permanent employment. Also, further growth in the number of freelancers in the world is predicted

Digital transformation (DT) is a change in the business model of the company by applying new digital technologies. New digital technologies related to the application of automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and contemporary information and communication technology (ICT). The consequence of the application of DT will be the replacement of routine tasks with automation, which is controlled by artificial intelligence. Greater flexibility and efficiency of work will be achieved in terms of place of work, time of work and ways of engaging people. The changes will be felt by all companies, regardless of size or activity. Due to that, DT will also change the labour requirements. Automation of routine jobs will lead to large layoffs. Many professions will almost disappear as the technology they worked with becomes obsolete. It is envisaged to create new job profiles following the requirements of new technologies. Since the application of DT requires new skills and knowledge, it is necessary to educate workers and managers to successfully apply new technologies

Kontrola snage bazne stanice u GSM: utjecaj gustoće korisnika u stanici

In this paper is presented that base station output power can be decreased by the power control in each channel. In this case very important is the distribution function of users\u27 density in the cell. We present the examples of the cells without power control and the examples of the cells with power control, where the distribution of users\u27 density in the cell is of various types. Some results are compared to the results of measurements, and some to the results obtained by simulation.U radu se pokazuje da se izlazna snaga bazne stanice može smanjiti upravljanjem snage pojedinih kanala.

ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC ANALOGIES BETWEEN THERMOELASTIC COMPONENT OF THE PHOTOACOUSTIC SIGNAL AND LOW-PASS RC FILTER

This paper presents a new approach to the thermal characterization of aluminum, based on the electro-acoustic analogy between the thermoelastic component of the photoacoustic signal and the passive RC low-pass filter. The analogies were used to calculate the characteristic thermoelastic cut-off frequencies of the photoacoustic component and obtain their relationship with the thickness of the aluminum samples. Detailed numerical analysis showed that the required relationship is linear in the log-log scale and can serve as a reference curve for the given material. The results of the numerical analysis were also confirmed experimentally

Introduction Recurrent depression is a psychiatric disorder of which etiology and pathogenesis might be related to immune response. Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) and its components are also strongly associated with elevated inflammatory indicators, as so as the body mass index (BMI) and total cholesterol levels. Objective Objective of this study was to investigate if there was any difference in C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in patients with recurrent depressive disorder, treated with antidepressants, compared to a healthy control group of subjects and if there was an association between increased CRP levels and the presence of MetS in these two groups. Methods Sixty subjects entered the study; of these 35 patients with the diagnosis of recurrent depressive disorder, while the healthy control group included 25 subjects. MetS was defined according to the NCEP ATP III criteria. The cut-off point for CRP was set at >5 mg /L. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the prevalence of MetS and CRP values between the studied groups. Waist circumference and total cholesterol levels were significantly higher in the experimental group. Patients that fulfilled the criteria for MetS showed significantly higher values of central obesity and arterial hypertension in the experimental group as well. The elevated CRP levels were associated with increased frequency of MetS in depressed patients. Conclusion Both CRP levels and metabolic risk profile screening, according to the international criteria, may be beneficial in order to obtain better assessment for depressive long term medicated patients

Modern beef production in intensive rearing conditions imposes a need for constant improvement of production traits of individuals. Meeting the growing requirements that accompany this type of production means the provision of optimal rearing conditions, not only in terms of cattle nutrition, care and housing but also in terms of health. Milk yield, milk fat and protein are properties of primary importance in dairy cattle breeding. These properties express a pronounced variability that occurs due to a large number of factors. The paper presents the average values and phenotypic variability of major milk production traits in the black-and-white cattle population raised on the farm "PK Beograd". In the first three standard lactations the average milk yield was 7.241 kg with 3.56% fat. The impact of major non-genetic factors (farm, year, season of calving) on the expression of milk production traits was also observed. The impact of the examined factors on the variability of the production traits was highly significant (P <0.01).Savremena govedarska proizvodnja u intenzivnim uslovima odgajivanja nameće potrebu konstantnog unapređenja proizvodnih osobina jedinki.

INFLUENCE OF PHYSICAL TRAINING ON CARDIORESPIRATORY ENDURANCE IN PREADOLESCENT AGE

    Get PDF
Cardiorespiratory or aerobic endurance is the ability of the whole body to sustain physical activity for an extended period of time, involving relatively large groups of muscles. The attitudes on the possible impact of training on cardiorespiratory endurance in preadolescents are contradictory. Our study enrolled 195 boys aged 11 to 12 years. Experimental group (n=92) consisted of the children who had been involved with planned and programmed water polo training for at least two years. Control group (n=103) consisted of schoolchildren who only had had regular physical education in schools. Our investigation protocol included standardized anthropometric measurements and tests, performed respecting the appropriate protocols. Statistical analysis of the results demonstrated that there were no significant differences in age and relative values of oxygen consumption (VO2peak). Body height and mass, as well as the skinfold thickness, were significantly higher in experimental group subjects. The values of absolute VO2peak, FVC and FEV1.0 were also significantly higher in the examinees involved with water polo training. These findings stress the importance of a systematic training process even in this early period of growth and development in order for the trainees to acquire important functional advantages. We believe that a properly planned and programmed physical training can significantly contribute to the development of cardiorespiratory endurance even as early as preadolescent age
