Numerical Simulation and Design Analysis Survey of a Solar-Powered Electric Vehicle

    Get PDF
The introduction of the Tesla in 2008 demonstrated the possibility of public electric vehicles to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation industry. It catapulted electric vehicles into the spotlight around the world when, due to growing demand and fossil fuel prices, they reached unanticipatedly high levels at a time when emerging countries required significant economic growth. Electric automobiles' energy storage capacity, as well as the grid's expected erratic discharge and loading, provide significant operational and maintenance issues. For large numbers of vehicles to be integrated with the smart grid and electric vehicles, optimal preparation approaches are critical. Greenhouse gas emissions are one of the most serious environmental issues, and their rates are increasing rapidly as the world becomes more industrialised. Solar energy for transportation can help to solve this problem. The goal of the proposed effort is to include a green energy-supporting technology; imagine a situation in which we can utilise photovoltaic energy to charge vehicles that are integrated into the vehicle. The research highlights the functional aspects of electric vehicles and provides an illustrated literature analysis on recent breakthroughs in the field. The main components of an electric car with a solar photovoltaic system are also explained in the research report. The study is beneficial in gaining a better grasp of the properties and issues in the realm of electric vehicles

A Critical Review on clinical aspect of Matra Basti in Vataja Disorders

    Get PDF
Basti is the most important among Panchakarma due to its multiple effects. Pitta and Kapha are dependent on Vata as it governs their functions. Basti is not only best for Vata disorders, it also is equally effective in correcting the morbid Pitta, Kapha and Vata. Charaka has considered Basti therapy as half of the treatment of all disease, while some authors consider it as the complete remedy for all the ailments. In modern medicine, enema is mainly given to remove the faeces from the large intestine, while in Ayurveda the review of the studies done on Basti helped in concluding that Basti is effective in treating the disease of all Srotas and especially Vatavaha Srotas. Matra Basti is subtype of Anuvasana Basti. It is administered in very small amount and hence is very convenient in present day life. All Acharyas explained about Matra Basti and considered safe and useful in many conditions where other varieties of Basti are contraindicated. It is specially used to treat various Vataja disorders

Role of Panchakarma in the management of Migraine (Ardhavabhedaka) : A Review

    Get PDF
Headache is one among the most common reasons patients seek medical attention, on a global basis being responsible for more disability than any other neurological problem. Migraine is the 2nd most common primary headache, also known as ‘Hemicrania’, means ‘half of the head’. It constitutes 16% of the primary headache and affects ~10-20% of general population, i.e. about 15% of women and 6% of men. It is characterized by recurrent episodes of headache that is moderate to severe and pulsatile in nature and lasting for 2-72 hours. Associated symptoms are nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound, or smell. It is not a lethal disorder but it can disturb patient’s life very widely, so its treatment requires more attention and care. Unfortunately, there is no preventive medication for migraine has been stabilized so far, only symptomatic medication are available, which medications have a lot of adverse effects and make dependence. In Ayurveda it can be correlated to Ardhavabhedaka. Very elaborative treatment has been given in Ayurvedic Samhitas; especially Panchakarma offers significant relief in this disease

Introduction: Standardization of Ayurvedic drug is an important criteria for selection, processing, efficacy & safety wise, to meet the WHO guidelines for the world wide acceptability of Ayurvedic formulations. Therefore different preparations of Anandbhairav rasa from classic Bhaishajya Ratnavali has been selected and studied for standariztion.Materials & Methods: Three samples of Anand Bhairav Rasa were prepared according to Jwaratisar prakaran of Bhaishajya Ratnavaliand three samples according to Atisar Prakaran of Bhaishajya Ratnavali were made and subjected to various physico-chemical analyses so that their physical as well as chemical changes can be analyzed. Conclusion: Both formulations showed the difference in pharmaceutically, organoleptic examination as well as in chemical analysis. However, the results obtained from physico chemical analysis of all the three samples are very close together and within fixed physico-chemical norms as described in pharmacopeial standards for Ayurvedic formulations

Rotor Fault Study of an Induction Motor using Fuzzy Controller

    Get PDF
Quality control is applied in production process. The good condition of electrical machines can be obtained by using diagnostic. There are lots of methods that can be used for diagnostics of electrical machine. In the literature, popular methods are based on a study of electrical signals. This project work proposes a novel automated practical implementation for non contiguous rotor side broken bars detection and diagnosis in induction motors. In this work a method for detection and diagnosis of rotor side broken bars is proposed based on the spectral analysis via fast Fourier transform (FFT) and classification of the spectral response based on fuzzy controlled identifier. For the fault diagnosis objective, two features are pick out from the spectrum of the stator current, 1st is the amplitude of the harmonics representing the broken bars defect 2sf (where s is the slip and f is the fundamental harmonics) and the second is the dc value. By using these obtained parameters a fuzzy identifier is proposed to identify the number of broken bars. For the designing of the proposed fuzzy identifier these two parameters will be used as inputs where the decision about the state of rotor will be made. After the implementation of the proposed work it is expected that the proposed technique will able to efficiently detect the number of broken bars at rotor side. Gene Expression Profiling of Preovulatory Follicle in the Buffalo Cow: Effects of Increased IGF-I Concentration on Periovulatory Events

    Get PDF
The preovulatory follicle in response to gonadotropin surge undergoes dramatic biochemical, and morphological changes orchestrated by expression changes in hundreds of genes. Employing well characterized bovine preovulatory follicle model, granulosa cells (GCs) and follicle wall were collected from the preovulatory follicle before, 1, 10 and 22 h post peak LH surge. Microarray analysis performed on GCs revealed that 450 and 111 genes were differentially expressed at 1 and 22 h post peak LH surge, respectively. For validation, qPCR and immunocytochemistry analyses were carried out for some of the differentially expressed genes. Expression analysis of many of these genes showed distinct expression patterns in GCs and the follicle wall. To study molecular functions and genetic networks, microarray data was analyzed using Ingenuity Pathway Analysis which revealed majority of the differentially expressed genes to cluster within processes like steroidogenesis, cell survival and cell differentiation. In the ovarian follicle, IGF-I is established to be an important regulator of the above mentioned molecular functions. Thus, further experiments were conducted to verify the effects of increased intrafollicular IGF-I levels on the expression of genes associated with the above mentioned processes. For this purpose, buffalo cows were administered with exogenous bGH to transiently increase circulating and intrafollicular concentrations of IGF-I. The results indicated that increased intrafollicular concentrations of IGF-I caused changes in expression of genes associated with steroidogenesis (StAR, SRF) and apoptosis (BCL-2, FKHR, PAWR). These results taken together suggest that onset of gonadotropin surge triggers activation of various biological pathways and that the effects of growth factors and peptides on gonadotropin actions could be examined during preovulatory follicle development
