    Get PDF
The concept of Sustainable Development as part of the EU agenda emphasizes the need for sustainability and the development of the economies of the EU Member States. The aim of the article is to evaluate the current state of selected activities defined as key for Sustainable Development, based on the analysis of the current state of selected Cities in the Slovak Republic. The article will propose recommendations based on the performed financial and economic analysis of selected transferred and original competencies of the cities of the Slovak Republic. The implementation of these recommendations will ensure the Sustainability of the Development of the cities in the Slovak Republic in the Future. This article is part of the solution of Project VEGA no. 1/0837/21 „Spatial and Temporal Aspects of EU Cohesion Policy: Lessons Learned and Future Perspectives“

Results of GPS reprocessing campaign (1996-2011) provided by Geodetic observatory Pecný

The paper presents the GOP first reprocessing results, which officially contributed to the EPN-repro1 project. It also describes the 15-year GOP cumulative solution providing station coordinates, velocities and their discontinuities over the period of 1996-2011. Repeatabilities estimated from cleaned long-term coordinate time-series reached 1-2 mm and 4-6 mm in horizontal and vertical component, respectively. We then showed the exploitation of GOP reprocessing results in the assessment of the EUREF ITRF2005 densification and the latest ITRS realization, ITRF2008. We identified and confirmed the North-South tilt (≈ 2mas) in the currently available European reference frame based on the EPN cumulative solution updated in GPS week 1600. The study showed a historical development of the tilt and its close relation to a weak velocity datum definition of this realization, which is very important for a long-term datum prediction. Selected EPN station coordinates, velocities and discontinuities of the latest ITRS realization (ITRF2008) were also assessed. Specific problems for some EPN stations were identified in the global reference frame. This emphasized further necessity to check all the stations before their use for datum definition for regional densifications

Database for tropospheric product evaluations - implementation aspects

    Get PDF
The high-performance GOP Tropo database for evaluating tropospheric products has been developed at the Geodetic Observatory Pecný. The paper describes initial database structure and aimed functionality. Special focus was given to the optimizing effort in order to handle billions of records. Evaluation examples demonstrate its current functionality, but future extensions and developments are outlined too

Comparison of GPS slant wet delays acquired by different techniques

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the quality of slant wet delays (SWD) computed from GPS measurements. The SWDs are generally used as input data for GPS tomography, which allows the three-dimensional reconstruction of water vapour distribution in the atmosphere. The research presented is based on a comparison of slant wet delays acquired by different strategies based on double-differenced Global Positioning System (GPS) data. The GPS-derived SWDs were compared with those directly measured by a water vapour radiometer (WVR). The best results from the applied GPS strategies were achieved by a simple mapping of GPS-derived zenith total delays into SWD without adding horizontal gradients or post-fit residuals.Web of Science9443342

Analysis of the time series of station coordinates - a comparison of the network and PPP approach

    Get PDF
Based on the example of fourteen selected permanent GNSS stations of the EPN (EUREF Permanent Network) the differences of time variations of coordinates – velocities – resulting from the network and PPP (Precise Point Positioning) solution are studied. In both approaches the coordinates are determinated using the Bernese software version 5.2. The time series analysis is made using the modified Vaníček´s method. The comparison shows that the results provided by the two methods cannot be accepted as statistically consistent.Web of Science12213312

Mechanized welding of chosen weld types of iron aluminides by using method 141

katedra: KSP; přílohy: 1 CD ROM; rozsah: 70This thesis is focussed in mechanical welding of chosen weld types of iron aluminides by using 141 method. First of all it was necessary to make the acquaintance of welding 141 by ČSN EN ISO 4063 standard and with characteristics of iron aluminides. For optional realisation of the thesis goal the new experimental center was created. The whole process of welding was recorded by monitoring system WeldMonitor. We investigate if change of parameters take some effect on welding pool geometry, structure or weld quality. The results will attend on improving possible simulation of welding process by using SYSWELD program.

ROLE OF TRANSPORT IN REALISING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Doprava je klíčovým prvkem, který umožňuje plnění několika cílů udržitelného rozvoje. Výrazně přispívá k cílům udržitelného rozvoje v oblasti hospodářského rozvoje, průmyslu a malých a středních podniků a také obchodu a investic. It contributes strongly to the SDGs regarding economic development, industry and SMEs, as well as trade and investment. Consequently, it also helps achieve the SDGs that aim to promote employment and well-being, and to reduce inequalities and exclusion. Meanwhile, transport presents many challenges with respect to the SDGs, such as the need to reduce climate and environmental impacts, to improve transport systems and traffic safety, and to manage concerns related to jobs and decent work. The goal of this paperis to provide analysis of aspects of sustainable development in relation to transport in terms of fulfillment of selected goals of Agenda 2030. Presented contribution is part of solution of Project Vega č. 1/030218 „Smart cities as a possibility for implementation of the concept of sustainable urban development in the SlovakRepublic“
