Educating the Approaches to Intellectual Property as the Trends of Application of Subjective Good Faith in Russian Law
In Russian law, the term "good faith" ("good conscience") refers to different concepts: "honest practice" and "ignorance of the fact when such ignorance generates legal consequences." The article investigate the educational aspects of distinguishing objective and subjective good faith. The questions of application of the rules on subjective good faith to the relations arising in connection with the establishment, circulation and protection of civil rights are considered. The analysis of the content of the legal regime of objects of absolute property rights (things, property security, share in the right of common property, corporate rights) allowed us to conclude that the consideration of the rules on subjective good faith is a natural, necessary element of the legal regime of any object of civil turnover, and the real question is only the recognition of such an element of the legal regime by the rule of law and the definition of the features of its application

Kuldja Under Russian Rule: View of the Imperial Administration
Introduction. The article is devoted to the review of the situation in Kuldja in the first half of the Russian domination there (1871–1876). Modern Russian historiography does not know the works that would describe the real measures of the Russian administration in this part of Russian possessions in Central Asia.
Methods and materials. The article analyzes the main source – a note by N.N. Pantusov with information about Kuldja District. Regulatory acts on Russian governance in the area are used as additional sources. The comparative and critical analysis of sources is of interest.
Analysis and Results. The Russian administration immediately outlined its main tasks: ensuring safety of the population, maintaining a civilian traditional way of life and governance, and equal rights for all local peoples. Destroying everything unprofitable for both states (Russia and China), the Russian administration refrained from fundamental innovations. The analysis of the sources carried out in the article allows to conclude that the Russian presence in the Ili region was temporary and even nominal indeed. The dispensing of the most fundamental articles of the Statute on the Governing of the Semirechenskaya and Syrdarya Provinces of 1867 to this district indicates the intention to facilitate the management of the new territory. And all the innovations indicate the presence of two trends. One of them was to form an attractive image of the Russian government. Another trend was aimed at spreading of all-Russian institutions to the district. Both of these trends demonstrate the intention of the representatives of the local Russian administration to keep Kuldja within the Russian Empire. The main source was published during the period of discussing the need to return the Ili region to China. However, there is no reason to argue that it was created for public announcement
Paleodemographic Study of the Annunciation Monastery’s Necropolis in Astrakhan
As a result of archaeological studies, a large series of anthropological material was obtained, which made it possible to characterize in detail the characteristics of the Russian Astrakhan population in the XVI–XX centuries. A paleodemographic analysis was carried out using materials from the necropolis of the XVI–XIX centuries from the Annunciation Monastery in Astrakhan. The methodology of J.Angel (1969) was used. The total number of individuals was 350. 270 skeletons belonged to adults, 80 – to children. This group was characterized by a rather high average life expectancy (29.3 years), a low percentage of child mortality (22.9%), including in the first year of life. The first peak of mortality occurred in the 0–5 age cohort, the second – at the age of 30–35 years. In general, the authors can ascertain the phenomenon of relative demographic well-being in the study group
Torque Teno Virus (TTV) distribution in healthy Russian population
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Torque teno virus (TTV) is a circular, single-stranded DNA virus that chronically infects healthy individuals of all ages worldwide. There is a lot of data on the prevalence and genetic heterogeneity of TTV in healthy populations and in patients with various diseases now available. However, little is known about TTV load among healthy human population. In this study we analyzed TTV load in the group of 512 Russian elite athletes, who are supposed to be, by some standards, the healthiest part of the human population.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>The prevalence rate of TTV among the Russian Olympic Reserve members was 94% (for test sensitivity about 1000 genome equivalents per 1 ml of blood). Quantities varied from 103 (which corresponded to detection limit) to 1010 copies per 1 ml of blood, with median at 2.7 × 106 copies.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>About 94% of healthy individuals in Russian population have more than 1000 TTV genome copies per 1 ml of blood. This result exceeds the previously published data, and can be explained by either more sensitive PCR test system or by higher TTV distribution in Russian population or both. TTV viral load neither depends on gender, nor age.</p
Ultrasound of Acute Appendicitis in the Admission Room of a Multidisciplinary Surgical Hospital
Ultrasound (US) for diagnosing acute appendicitis (AA) and its complications in the admission room may be used as a primary diagnostic method in urgent patients. A total of 180 adult patients underwent US for suspected appendicitis; these results showed high possibilities in pathology screening and differential diagnosis from similar clinical diseases. The accuracy of US in detecting AA with obvious clinical findings and typical position is 100%, but in retrocecal and retroperitoneal forms, it decreases to 84%. With our algorithm of the right iliac and localized pain regions, US scanning optimizes the screening of patients with suspected AA presented in the admission room
The Imaging of Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease
Diagnosis of hip joint pathology remains a serious problem in childhood and adolescence. A wide range of pathologies—including dysplastic, dystrophic, inflammatory, oncological and post-traumatic diseases of the musculoskeletal system—leads to the advancement of imaging methods and techniques. Legg-Calve-Perthes disease (LCPD) is a common cause of hip pain in children that may be initially clinically and radiographically difficult to diagnose Radiography of the pelvis in two views (anteroposterior and Lauenstein) is the main method of diagnosing aseptic necrosis. Destructive changes of the femoral head and neck of the femur are clearly determined. However, the presence of X-ray negative patterns at the first stage of the disease and the impossibility of visualizing all the anatomical structures induce us to improve the diagnostic algorithm of this difficult pathological process
X-ray Polarization Observations of BL Lacertae
Blazars are a class of jet-dominated active galactic nuclei with a typical
double-humped spectral energy distribution. It is of common consensus the
Synchrotron emission to be responsible for the low frequency peak, while the
origin of the high frequency hump is still debated. The analysis of X-rays and
their polarization can provide a valuable tool to understand the physical
mechanisms responsible for the origin of high-energy emission of blazars. We
report the first observations of BL Lacertae performed with the Imaging X-ray
Polarimetry Explorer ({IXPE}), from which an upper limit to the polarization
degree 12.6\% was found in the 2-8 keV band. We contemporaneously
measured the polarization in radio, infrared, and optical wavelengths. Our
multiwavelength polarization analysis disfavors a significant contribution of
proton synchrotron radiation to the X-ray emission at these epochs. Instead, it
supports a leptonic origin for the X-ray emission in BL Lac.Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in ApJ
