FACTORS AFFECTING CAN THO RESIDENTS’ INTENTION TO VISIT DALAT IN THE COVID-19 ERA

    Get PDF
The paper examines the factors affecting the intentions of Can Tho residents to travel to Dalat as the COVID-19 pandemic is gradually brought under control. The data were collected from a survey of 213 Can Tho residents and analyzed with Cronbach’s alpha, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The results show that the intentions of Can Tho residents to travel to Dalat depend on four factors: (1) attitude toward Dalat tourism, (2) subjective norms, (3) perceived behavioral controls, and (4) perceived health risk. In particular, the attitudinal factor significantly influences Dalat travel intentions. Based on the research results, the article proposes four recommendations for managers, corresponding to the four influencing factors, to increase the intentions of Can Tho residents to travel to Dalat in the COVID-19 era

Study on the effect of processing methods on the total polyphenol, 2,3,5,4’-tetrahydroxystilben-2-O-β-D-glucoside, and physcion contents in Fallopia multiflora Thunb. Haraldson root

This study investigated the changes in the ingredients in Fallopia multiflora Thunb. Haraldson (FMT) root after processing it with different methods such as soaking, stewing, and steaming or combined methods. The total polyphenol, 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilben-2-O-β-D-glucoside (THSG), and physcion contents in FMT products after processing were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) methods. The results demonstrated that the processing method and time significantly affected the contents of polyphenol, THSG, and physcion. The physcion and total polyphenol content increased or decreased during processing depending upon the processing time, while the THSG content gradually decreased with an increase in the processing time. The content of physcion (a substance that can cause liver toxicity) was analysed, and the suitable conditions for processing of the FMT products were determined as initial soaking in rice swill for 24 h and subsequent stewing with black beans and water for 12 h

Angular rate sensing by circulatory vortex flow: design, simulation and experiment

    Get PDF
A fully packaged convective vortex gyrometer actuated by a PZT diaphragm is reported. The flow circulates at higher velocity after each actuating circle to form a vortex in the desired chamber. The vortex is characterized by hotwire anemometry. The device is initially designed based on a numerical analysis whose results are used to set up the experiment. The angular rate sensing of the device is successfully tested using a turntable. The technique is a potential solution to various applications related to inertial sensing and fluidic amplifier

Synthesis of some derivatives of n-(2,3,4,6-tetra-o-acetyl-õ-d-glucopyranosyl)-n’-(benzothiazole-2’-yl) thioureas

Some compounds of N-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-N’-(benzothiazole-2’-yl)thioureas have been synthesized from corresponding 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl isothiocyanate and the substituted derivatives of  2-aminobenzothiazoles executing in home microwave oven. Their spectroscopic properties have been recorded and the relationships between their structures and spectral properties (IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR) have been discussed

A long range, energy efficient internet of things based drought monitoring system

The climate change and global warning have been appeared as an emerging issue in recent decades. In which, the drought problem has been influenced on economics and life condition in Vietnam. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we have designed and deployed a long range and energy efficient drought monitoring based on IoT (Internet of Things) for real time applications. After being tested in the real condition, the proposed system has proved its high dependability and effectiveness. The system is promising to become a potential candidate to solve the drought problem in Vietnam

This paper gives the additivity and reduction formulas for mixed multiplicities of multi-graded modules MM and mixed multiplicities of arbitrary ideals, and establishes the recursion formulas for the sum of all the mixed multiplicities of M.M. As an application of these formulas we get the recursion formulas for the multiplicity of multi-graded Rees modules

Some 5-alkyl-2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazoles have been synthesized by the MW-mediated solvent-free method. The reaction mixture is consisted of aliphatic acid, thiosemicarbazide and concentrated sulfuric acid (98%). Molar ratio of thiosemicarbazide and carboxylic acid was 1:2, reaction time was shortened (20 houres vs. 30 minutes). The structures of these aminothiadiazoles were confirmed by spectrospcopic methods (IR and 1H-NMR)
