The “2nd International Congress on Advances in the Packaging Industry - Product and Process (API 2017)” was held in Milan (Italy) on 26-27 November 2017. The congress was organized by the Regional Competence Centre for Technologies (CRdC Tecnologie Scarl, www.crdctecnologie.it), and the Italian Flexible Packaging Association (Giflex, www.giflex.it). The aim of the organizers was at creating a multidisciplinary forum to discuss priority themes worth of further investigation in the fast-growing field of flexible packaging, taking into account the perspectives of the scientific as well as the productive world. This special issue of the “Journal of Applied Packaging Research” is dedicated to API 2017. It collects a well-balanced selection of academic and industrial papers presented during the congress

This special issue of the “Journal of Applied Packaging Research” collects a selection of papers presented during the “1st International Congress on Advances in the Packaging Industry - Product and Process (API 2015)” held in Naples (Italy) on 19-20 November 2015. The congress was organized by the Regional Competence Centre for Technologies (CRdC Tecnologie Scarl, www.crdctecnologie.it), the Department of Chemical, Materials and Production Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II (DICMaPI, www.dicmapi.unina.it), the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Salerno (DIIn, www.diin.unisa.it), and the Italian Flexible Packaging Association (Giflex, www.giflex.it). The aim was at gathering experts from academia and industry to focus on product and process innovations in flexible packaging technology. The 2nd edition of the congress will be held in Italy in 2017 (API 2017)

Corrosion Resistance of Steel/Zinc with Silicate Nanoparticles/Polyurethane Paint Systems in NaCl Solution

Surface characteristics and corrosion behaviour of bare electrogalvanized steel coated with polymer/nano-silicate particles added to the electrogalvanizing bath were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDXS) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). After applying a barrier polyurethane paint, the paint hardness, porosity, flexibility, colour, gloss, blistering and rusting degrees, and anticorrosive protective properties in 0.05 mol·L-1 NaCl solution were also evaluated. The results correlated well and, being demonstrative of the very slow deterioration rate of the immersed coated electrogalvanized steel, they enabled to assume that if a chemically analogous but thicker coating system was applied; it could be an acceptable alternative in real service conditions.Fil: Célia R. El modelo CIELAB, las fórmulas de diferencia de color y el uso de la norma europea EN 12878 en morteros y hormigones coloreados

Embellecer las mezclas cementíceas es una alternativa que se utiliza cuando surge la necesidad de valorar la apariencia de superficies. Esta cualidad, puesta de manifiesto por su color y brillo, admite disímiles terminaciones. Las diferentes alternativas de apariencia están directamente relacionadas con los materiales elegidos y sus posibles combinaciones, con la superficie obtenida tras el contacto con los moldes o por someterla a algún tratamiento superficial, y con las condiciones del curado. Otro aspecto muy importante es cuantificar qué tan diferente es un color de otro. El objetivo del presente trabajo es definir el color comparando la fórmula de diferencia de color total CIEDE1976 con la CIEDE2000 para indicadores de diferencias o similitudes. Con ese fin se utilizó la norma Europea EN12878. El color se midió en morteros elaborados con proporciones fijas de cemento gris o blanco, agua, fíller calizo, arena y pigmento (óxidos de hierro o ftalocianinas cúpricas de distinta procedencia). Por último, se comparó el color de morteros con el de hormigones que contenían dicha matriz. Los resultados muestran la variabilidad del color en función de la procedencia de pigmentos de un mismo color y de los diferentes tipos de cemento. A la vez se cuantifica lo parecido que puede ser el color de un hormigón al de su mortero.Embellish the cementitious mixtures is an alternative that is used when the need to assess the appearance of surfaces arises. This quality, evidenced by their color and gloss, supports dissimilar endings. Different alternatives of appearance are directly related to the chosen materials and combinations thereof, with the surface obtained after contact with the molds or by subjecting it to a surface treatment, and with the curing conditions. Another very important aspect is to quantify how different is a color of another. The aim of the present work is to define the color comparing the CIEDE1976 total color difference formula with the CIEDE2000 one for indicators of differences or similarities. To this end, the European EN12878 standard was used. The color was analyzed in mortars made with fixed proportions of gray or white cement, water, filler limestone, sand and pigment (iron oxides or cupric phthalocyanine from different sources). Finally, the color of the mortars was compared with the obtained in concretes containing the same matrix. The results show color variability depending on both the origin of pigments of the same color and the different types of cement. 55%Al-Zn alloy coated steel sheets pre-treated with 5% Fe (NO3)3 + 15% H3PO4 solution, coated with acrylic (AC), alkyd (AQ), vinyl (VL), solvent-based epoxy (ES) or waterborne epoxy (EA) corrosion-inhibiting primers + a barrier topcoat alkyd paint, and exposed to different media were studied. Exposure conditions included salt spray or continuous immersion in solutions containing chloride or sulphate ions. The state of the exposed samples was evaluated by visual inspections, standardized physicochemical tests and electrochemical impedance (EIS) measurements. Their results allowed inferring that: 1) under immersion conditions, the best performance was offered by the ES samples; 2) most of the painting systems performed satisfactorily during their exposure to the salt spray chamber; and 3) the correlation between them permitted to explain some problems arising in service and opened the door to extend the useful life by adjusting the painting system formulation.Fil: Di Sarli, Alejandro Ramón. Alteridad, exclusión y resistencia cultural en el arte histórico argentino : Cielo de tambores, de Ana Gloria Moya

Durante los últimos años del siglo XX se produce una tensión entre tradición canónica y textualidades emergentes que, en una productividad que tensiona los límites entre historicidad y ficción, reconfigura acontecimientos y protagonistas de los imaginarios fundacionales. En estas versiones análogas al canon de representación histórica, de acontecimientos y personajes se entraman relatos de la alteridad: en estas miradas alternativas, emerge la voz de los negros, los indios y los mulatos que forjaron las campañas militares de la Independencia, condenados después a desaparecer bajo el peso del exterminio y de la inmigración europea. Los emplazamientos teatrales en La Plata fundacional como instituciones de lugar social

La Plata, a diferencia de Buenos Aires u otras ciudades, se ha constituido desde su fundación como una ciudad predeterminada en cuanto a su estructura, perfil y alcances arquitectónicos y sociales. No obstante, las representaciones generadas en la actualidad y en el pasado sobre la ciudad trasvasan el racionalismo de su modelo fundacional y se instalan en la mitología urbana, generada por los discursos efectuados sobre los lugares, es decir, sobre las funciones y leyes de integración de los espacios a los usos de la vida cotidiana. El espacio teatral oficia aquí, como lugar social pues oficia de marco de encuentro, función y técnica de sociabilidad e institución identitaria a nivel intragrupal y de distinción con respecto a lo extragrupal. Objeto material/objeto imaginario/objeto poético: el imaginario social en función de la práctica teatral

El complejo entramado de significaciones del teatro se construye en el mundo de las sociedades policontexturales, y esto se logra a partir de las relaciones entre distintas instancias: el mundo simbólico, los esquemas perceptivos y el mundo fenomenológico percibido por los sujetos. A ellas habría que añadir las instituciones sociales que cohesionan a los sujetos a participar de un hecho colectivo y que a su vez sustentan y legitiman las doctrinas y prácticas grupales, las cuales establecen un bagaje simbólico-cultural específico. Los diferentes saberes culturales que conforman dicho bagaje poseerían validez y autoridad como tales sólo en tanto y en cuanto lograran concretar, en un plano real o práctico, aquellos aspectos y sistemas que definen su modalidad constructora de sentido, y generar, por su propia fuerza persuasiva, un consenso colectivo, a través de la conformación de los correspondientes públicos que participen de estas representaciones colectivas. Dispositivos de realidad/simulación espacial: muestra de arte y teconología : Ciberarte: zonas de interacción de la II Bienal de MERCOSUR

El presente trabajo intenta indagar una posible construcción de significado en torno a la formulación de un dispositivo espacial determinado. Se tomará como estudio de caso la exposición Arte y Tecnología: zonas de interacción perteneciente a la Segunda Bienal del Mercosur, desarrollada en Porto Alegre durante el año 1999. Los objetivos de la exposición intentan recrear en la curaduría un espacio que involucre activamente al receptor en torno a las operaciones de expectación - interacción propuestas por las disciplinas del ciberarte y la hipermedialidad. Para ello se aplicará el concepto de dispositivo (Meunier, 1999) a la producción de un espacio expositivo que en su emplazamiento, distribución y recorrido se vale de la relación entre mundo real empírico y representación para circunscribir la vinculación interactiva del receptor – usuario con el entonces emergente arte informático.Eje temático 4 - Técnicas y procedimientos artísticos, intersecciones disciplinariasFacultad de Bellas Arte
