    Sliding modes control of active suspensions

    In the first part of this study, a sliding mode based controller has been mounted on a multi degrees of-freedom vehicle model as parallel to the suspensions and a non-chattering control has been realized using system equations. in case of traveling an different road profiles, body bounce, body pitch acceleration of the body, time response of the vehicle, control inputs, phase plane of the motion and frequency response of the vehicle have been obtained. The simulation results have been compared with the uncontrolled system results. At the end of the study the performance of the controller and the improvement in the system performance have been discussed by also considering the ride comfort

    Improving performance of switched reluctance motor by fuzzy logic controller

    BILGIC, MEHMET ORUC/0000-0002-5450-4461WOS: 000080065100003This paper presents torque ripple minimization of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) by using a fuzzy controller, The nonlinear model of the SRM and the mathematical model of the converter circuit are driven. The motor used in both simulation and experiment is an 8/6 four phase SRM with a C-Dump converter. The applied fuzzy controller adjusts the value of the reference current to keep the speed of the motor constant. The results show that the fuzzy logic is effective in reducing the torque ripple of the motor, and compensating for the nonlinear torque characteristics. The experimental result is given for a current control algorithm, and it shows that the quite nonlinear model of the SRM is well defined. Copyright (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, konvansiyonel silah ile karşılaştırıldığında füze fırlatma sistemlerinde Lineer İndüksiyon Makinesi uygulamasının kabul edilebilir sonuçlar verdiğini ortaya koymaktır.Bu amaçla, 60 mm havanı olan konvansiyonel silah bir örnek olarak seçilmiştir ve LIM fırlatmak için YHI silah füze tasarlanmıştır. Makina performans özellikleri geliştirilen bir similation programı kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Simülasyon sonuçları ile örnek silahın performansı karşılaştırılmıştır Böylece bu lineer asenkron makinanın oldukça tatmin edici bir şekilde füze fırlatım sistemi uygulamalarında kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır
