Media currently has a dual role, like two sides of a coin, on one side the media serves as a mediator for the improvement and progress of the nation, on the other side contributes to the suppression of media for the benefit of market capitalism toward consumer culture women once again being the subject of image construction. Effects of Cisnormative Beauty Standards on Transgender Women’s Perceptions and Expressions of Beauty

The authors conducted a qualitative study exploring the effects of cisnormative beauty standards on transgender women’s perceptions and expressions of beauty. Twelve self-identified Caucasian transgender women completed a semistructured interview that provided descriptive data related to the women’s perceptions of societal beauty standards. Analysis of the data revealed the following primary themes: Participants viewed the beauty of transgender and cisgender women as diverse or as encompassing a broad range of variability; societal beauty standards were influential on participants’ expressions of beauty; and participants’ viewed out-group transphobia as a factor contributing to discriminatory and prejudicial perceptions of transwomen’s beauty

ANALISIS DEBT TO EQUITY RATIO (DER), DEBT TO ASSET RATIO (DAR), EARNING PER SHARE (EPS), DAN RETURN ON EQUITY (ROE) TERHADAP FLUKTUASI HARGA SAHAM DITINJAU DARI LAPORAN KEUANGAN KONSOLIDASI

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Earning per Share (EPS), dan Return on Equity (ROE) berpengaruh terhadap fluktuasi harga saham. Penelitian ini memiliki 4 variabel independen, yaitu DER, DAR, EPS, dan ROE, sedangkan untuk variabel dependennya yaitu fluktuasi harga saham. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur, yang mana penelitian memiliki variabel serupa dan data yang didapatkan berdasarkan laporan keuangan konsolidasi perusahaan yang terdapat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa DER dan DAR berpengaruh negatif terhadap fluktuasi harga saham, sedangkan EPS berpengaruh positif terhadap harga saham, dan ROE tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham

The Role of Local Marginalization In Batam Island As An Industrial City In The Border Area of Indonesia

Globalization has an open opportunity for border areas and periphery as a part of the center of industrial cities in Indonesia's development. Collaboration between Indonesia (Riau Island), Malaysia, and Singapore at border areas has involved developed countries with the high support of globalization, so currents have affected the urban system and destroyed many developed traditional regional models. This study aims to evaluate the marginalization of border communities and analyze their participation in sustainable development on Batam Island as an industrial city that is developing between countries. The research applied a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. It used the concept of gentrification as an implication of a new industrial city, describing a phenomenon empirically. The findings show that Batam Island is one of the developing new industrial cities than other cities as a port for international activities in the border area and a high rush of people coming from outside the city to work and settle there. This research concludes that industrial city development strategies in the border area were needed and planned under a more macroscopic framework, for border communities are not deeply marginalized, and as part of modernization, industrial city growth

Relatório de Trabalho de Projecto apresentado para Cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-CirúrgicaNo âmbito do 2º Mestrado em EMC da ESS do IPS que frequentámos era-nos proposto a realização de três estágios e no decorrer dos mesmos a realização de um PIS e um PAC numa Unidade de Saúde de acordo com a metodologia de Projeto com vista à aquisição de competências comuns e específicas do enfermeiro especialista e de Mestre em EMC. Com a realização destes projetos, consideramos ir ao encontro do referido pela Ordem dos Enfermeiros, na tomada de posição sobre segurança do doente, onde refere que a segurança é fulcral à qualidade na saúde e nos cuidados de enfermagem. Refere ainda que algumas medidas como gestão do risco, de segurança ambiental, que englobam uma prática clinica segura, manutenção de um ambiente de cuidados seguros associadas a um corpo de conhecimento científico centrado na segurança da pessoa e nas infra estruturas necessárias para o garantir. (Ordem dos Enfermeiros, 2006) Assim, como produto final do PIS, emergiu um guia farmacológico sobre antibioterapia e um póster com incompatibilidades, diluições e fichas técnicas sobre antibióticos, de forma a dar resposta ao objetivo geral do projeto, ” Melhorar a qualidade e a segurança dos cuidados de enfermagem relacionados com a administração de antibioterapia no serviço de urgência do hospital onde desempenhamos funções.” No que concerne ao PAC desenvolvemos atividades que permitiram a aquisição e consolidação das competências de enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem em pessoa em situação critica. A via subcutânea para hidratação e administração de terapêutica na pessoa com patologia crónica e/ou paliativa

Dissertação de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-CirúrgicaElaboramos o presente relatório no âmbito do 2º Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico Cirúrgica, na Escola Superior de Saúde, do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal no ano lectivo de 2012/2013. Destina-se a apresentar o trabalho que realizamos, utilizando a metodologia de projecto, bem como as reflexões e aprendizagens efectuadas nos estágios. Salientamos que o percurso formativo se iniciou com a 1ª Pós Graduação em Enfermagem Médico Cirúrgica – Cuidados Paliativos no ano de 2007/2008. Posteriormente realizamos o 1º Curso de Pós Licenciatura de Especialização em Enfermagem Médico - Cirúrgica no ano lectivo de 2010/2011, onde foram efectuados os estágios e desenvolvido o projecto, que apresentamos. O número de pessoas com doença crónica e paliativa tem vindo a aumentar, devendo-se em parte ao desenvolvimento mundial e vários outros factores tais como um maior conhecimento que aumenta a longevidade, a hábitos de vida relacionados com a má alimentação, o tabagismo, o stress, o sedentarismo, entre outros, que contribuem para um aumento da morbilidade. Consequentemente, nestes casos, as pessoas necessitam de apoio para manter o melhor estado de saúde, tanto quanto for possível, assumindo como aspectos prioritários a estabilização, adaptação e a manutenção da qualidade de vida. Com o objectivo de melhorarmos a qualidade dos cuidados à pessoa com patologia crónica e/ou paliativa, optámos por desenvolver o projecto cujo tema é a utilização da via subcutânea para hidratação e administração de terapêutica, na pessoa com patologia crónica e/ou paliativa. Atendendo a que as vias preferenciais para administração de terapêutica poderão estar comprometidas, por sintomatologia como náuseas, vómitos ou acessos venosos difíceis por vários tratamentos, internamentos, e degradação do seu estado geral, este projecto surge, como uma opção para administração de terapêutica ou hidratação na pessoa com patologia crónica e/ou paliativa. Para suportar a nossa decisão quanto ao tema a estudar, aplicamos um questionário e análise SWOT para diagnóstico da situação. Destes salienta-se que 62% dos enfermeiros não conhece a técnica da Hipodermoclise; 69% nunca administrou soros por via SC; 62% nunca administrou terapêutica em perfusão por via SC; 100% considera útil o desenvolvimento da técnica na Unidade.Abstract: We prepared this report under the 2nd master's degree in medical surgical nursing, in the Escola Superior de Saúde, from the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, in the academic year 2012/2013. It is intended to present the work we did, using project methodology as well as the reflections and learning made in intership. We emphasize that the training path began with the 1st post graduation in medical surgical nursing - palliative care in the year 2007/2008. Later we held the 1st course of post graduate specialization in medical surgical nursing in the academic year 2010/2011, where the stages were made and developed the project, which we present. The number of people with chronic illness and palliative care is increasing and is partly due to global development, and various other factors such as increased knowledge that increases longevity, the lifestyle habits such as poor diet, smoking, stress, sedentary lifestyle, among others that contribute to increased morbidity. Consequently, in these cases, people need support to maintain the best state of health as much as possible, taking as priority aspects like stabilization, adaptation and maintenance of quality of life. Aiming to improve the quality of care for people with chronic disease and / or palliative, we decided to develop the project whose theme is the use of subcutaneous way for hydration and administration of therapy in people with chronic disease or palliative. Given that the preferred way to administer therapy may be impaired by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting or difficult venous access due to several treatments, hospitalizations, and deterioration in his general condition, this project emerges as an option for administering therapy or hydration in person with chronic disease and / or palliative. To support our decision to study on the subject, we apply a survey and SWOT analysis for diagnosis of the situation. Should be noted that 62% of nurses do not know the technique of hypodermoclysis, 69% never administered subcutaneous solution, 62% never administered infusion therapy subcutaneously; 100% considers the development of the technique useful in Unit.
