    Social health recommender system: application for healthcare and pandemia information diffusion

    The amount of information and services available on the web represents an important opportunity for people to enrich and share knowledges. The easy access and the continuous growth of data in the web are responsible of an overload of information that leads the user to navigate in a saturated and often uninteresting and non-comprehensive environment. In the medical-clinical context, a lot of information on the web is often incomplete, inaccurate or completely wrong due to an incorrect sharing and a lack of control of the sources. In this context, recommendation systems become essential to filter truthful information and to target users with respect to their needs. The status of recent covid-19 pandemic highlighted the necessity of having health reliable sources. Health recommender systems support user in medical environment to find right information. In this contribution, we report about a project of health recommender system aiming to: (i) aggregate similar users and (ii) guarantee the truthful and quality of the extracted information through a check of the sources and a validation by the medical scientific community

    Magnetic Resonance Planimetry in the Differential Diagnosis between Parkinson’s Disease and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

    The clinical differential diagnosis between Parkinson’s disease (PD) and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is often challenging. The description of milder PSP phenotypes strongly resembling PD, such as PSP-Parkinsonism, further increased the diagnostic challenge and the need for reliable neuroimaging biomarkers to enhance the diagnostic certainty. This review aims to summarize the contribution of a relatively simple and widely available imaging technique such as MR planimetry in the differential diagnosis between PD and PSP, focusing on the recent advancements in this field. The development of accurate MR planimetric biomarkers, together with the implementation of automated algorithms, led to robust and objective measures for the differential diagnosis of PSP and PD at the individual level. Evidence from longitudinal studies also suggests a role of MR planimetry in predicting the development of the PSP clinical signs, allowing to identify PSP patients before they meet diagnostic criteria when their clinical phenotype can be indistinguishable from PD. Finally, promising evidence exists on the possible association between MR planimetric measures and the underlying pathology, with important implications for trials with new disease-modifying target therapies

    Il volume raccoglie le ricerche presentate nei seminari organizzati fra il 2017 e il 2019 presso il Dottorato in Storia, Disegno e Restauro dell’Architettura di ‘Sapienza’ Università di Roma e ripercorre le tematiche approfondite nel corso di undici sessioni, relative a connotazioni e attributi dell’architettura (Proporzione, forma e struttura; Architettura, forma e funzione; Compiuto e incompiuto in architettura), contesti cronologici specifici (Novecento: progetto e cantiere; Architettura romana fra centro e periferia dell’Impero), dialettica teoretica endogena o esogena (Architettura e città; Architettura e arti visive), argomenti di dibattito attuali (Rappresentazione, costruzione e trasformazione della città; Superfici: materia e immagine; Architettura e concorsi; Effimero – e immateriale – in architettura). Le singole sezioni sono costituite da saggi afferenti ai settori scientifici della storia, del disegno, del restauro e della progettazione architettonica; sono inoltre concluse da riflessioni sintetiche, che sottolineano i nessi fra ricerche eterogenee per argomenti, approcci, metodi e finalità allo scopo di evidenziare le intersezioni disciplinari fra i contributi e favorire, più in generale, una positiva contaminazione tra ambiti distinti in relazione a temi comuni
