Analysis and test of superplastically formed titanium hat-stiffened panels under compression
Four hat-stiffened titanium panels with two different stiffener configurations were fabricated by superplastic forming/weld brazing and tested under a moderately heavy compressive load. The panels had the same overall dimensions but differed in the shape of the hat-stiffener webs; three panels had stiffeners with flat webs and the other panel had stiffeners with beaded webs. Analysis indicated that the local buckling strain of the flat stiffener web was considerably lower than the general panel buckling strain or cap buckling strain. The analysis also showed that beading the webs of the hat stiffeners removed them as the critical element for local buckling and improved the buckling strain of the panels. The analytical extensional stiffness and failure loads compared very well with experimental results

Organizational commitment profiles and job satisfaction among Greek private and public sector employees
Recent research into organizational commitment has advocated a profiles-based approach. However, with the exception of Wasti, published findings are confined to North American samples. This article examines the relationships between organizational commitment profiles and job satisfaction in Greece. Greek organizations have rarely been the subject of detailed examination, so the study provides baseline information regarding levels of organizational commitment and job satisfaction in Greece. Both private sector (N = 1119) and public sector (N = 476) employees in Greece were surveyed, as this sectoral distinction is regularly associated with different patterns of job-related attitudes. The contrasts between Greek and Anglo-American values present a new challenge to the profiles approach. The results confirm the utility of the profiles approach to the study of organizational commitment. Affective organizational commitment was found to be most influential with respect to levels of intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction. This concurs with other studies of the behavioural outcomes of commitment. Copyright © 2007 Sage Publications

Acquiring and Maintaining Premium Seat Customers in the “Big Four” Leagues
The sports industry in the United States will bring in an estimated 425 billion in 2011 (Plunkett Research, Ltd, 2011). Of the overall revenue, $10 billion is derived from premium seating. Unlike general admission and television revenue, income from premium seats is not usually shared with other teams in the league (Miller & Washington, 2010). Premium seating revenue makes a significant contribution to the overall revenue stream of sports organizations. In the 2010-2011 seasons, there were a total of 12,527 luxury suites across all the professional sports venues within the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Hockey League (NHL) (ALSD, 2010). Premium seats also benefit the teams because most seats are purchased through a multi- year contract where the team receives payment upfront, which is crucial where the end product (a win) cannot be guaranteed (Casselman, 2009)
High resolution time interval counter
In recent years, we have developed two types of high resolution, multi-channel time interval counters. In the NIST two-way time transfer MODEM application, the counter is designed for operating primarily in the interrupt-driven mode, with 3 start channels and 3 stop channels. The intended start and stop signals are 1 PPS, although other frequencies can also be applied to start and stop the count. The time interval counters used in the NIST Frequency Measurement and Analysis System are implemented with 7 start channels and 7 stop channels. Four of the 7 start channels are devoted to the frequencies of 1 MHz, 5 MHz or 10 MHz, while triggering signals to all other start and stop channels can range from 1 PPS to 100 kHz. Time interval interpolation plays a key role in achieving the high resolution time interval measurements for both counters. With a 10 MHz time base, both counters demonstrate a single-shot resolution of better than 40 ps, and a stability of better than 5 x 10(exp -12) (sigma(sub chi)(tau)) after self test of 1000 seconds). The maximum rate of time interval measurements (with no dead time) is 1.0 kHz for the counter used in the MODEM application and is 2.0 kHz for the counter used in the Frequency Measurement and Analysis System. The counters are implemented as plug-in units for an AT-compatible personal computer. This configuration provides an efficient way of using a computer not only to control and operate the counters, but also to store and process measured data

DGP Cosmology with a Non-Minimally Coupled Scalar Field on the Brane
We construct a DGP inspired braneworld scenario where a scalar field
non-minimally coupled to the induced Ricci curvature is present on the brane.
First we investigate the status of gravitational potential with non-minimal
coupling and observational constraints on this non-minimal model. Then we
further deepen the idea of embedding of FRW cosmology in this non-minimal
setup. Cosmological implications of this scenario are examined with details and
the quintessence and late-time expansion of the universe within this framework
are examined. Some observational constraints imposed on this non-minimal
scenario are studied and relation of this model with dark radiation formalism
is determined with details.Comment: 26 pages, 3 eps figure
